Tried buying a policy today, using the Quidcompare portal. When calculating my premium (the final stage of the process after being redirected to Aviva's own site), a 15 percent 'customer loyalty discount' was automatically applied, which I could not understand. Turns out I have Tesco life cover which is actually provided by Aviva! The online help was totally unclear about whether this qualifies me as a 'new customer' or not! I mean, if I have other policies with Aviva, then it's a new car policy, not necessarily a new customer. Quidco should work with Aviva to clarify this on their terms and conditions. Despite the lack of clarity, I tried finalising the purchase, only to learn that the payment page wasn't working on the Aviva site, so I basically abandoned the transaction and went with my existing insurer Octagon. Interestingly, they included free rental car, legal protection and European cover, all extra cost options so ambiguously excluded from Aviva's quote (which in practice equates to about the most basic comprehensive cover I've ever seen). Caveat Emptor as always. Inertia is powerful, and to gain market share you have to make buying insurance a painless exercise. You have much work to do!

Received cashback 13 days after policy start date making aviva the cheapest by far for me. The service was quick and easy so happy as it stands. I did have reservations about using aviva as i have heard they outsource their call centres (!) so we will see if i still find them fantastic if i have to claim.
But as with starting a policy no complaints, the price was Very reasonable

My renewal quote was £220 from esure, Aviva quoted me £250 but with the 70 cash back it worked out at £180 for the year.....thats more like it

Insured my car through Aviva with no problems. I recently bought a new car and had to change my details on my policy. Aviva then decided to decline my cashback for no given reason despite me forking out over £2,000 to them! Bit poor to be honest.

Didn't automatically track - no idea why - and had to raise a query manually.
Never having used a cashback company before I was very dubious. 'Here we go', I thought.
Nevertheless, it took a couple of months but I was paid this week, so it was well worth it for me as it made my insurance far cheaper than it ever could have been otherwise (less than £180 for the year fully comp).

Bought our car insurance and my cash back was not tracked however I contacted quid co who I must say dealt with my query very promptly and kept me upto date on a regular basis. Tracked fine, cashback paid within 3 months. Generous cashback amount (£70) which made the overall car insurance policy considerably lower than any others I could find. Great customer service and useful 'MyPolicy' online account management (meaning you avoid 'admin/service charges' associated with telephone/branch insurers). Unfortunately my renewal price was too expensive so have gone elsewhere this year (cashback not applicabe to renewers!) but will definitely bear in mind at renewal time next year.

I had to raise a claim to get the cashback from this, but they accepted that after 6 months and have paid. Price was one of the best quotes, the best of reputable insurers, and with cashback it made for a great deal.

Bought both Aviva car and House insurance when the 'buy two and get an extra £25' was on offer.
i got the two individual cash backs but the £25 never tracked.
Thinking Aviva was making sure I kept the two products I left it to see what would happen. Alas i left it too late- over 7 weeks- so Quidco can or will do nothing about it
So please be aware of time frames for these deals

Very easy to make the application on Aviva's website. Car insurance very competitive. Unfortunately the car insurance never tracked, so I had to put in a tracking request to Quidco, who were very helpful and kept me informed. Cash-back eventually paid in full after five months.

No problem with vendor so far, though some wording of questions was a little confusing when the details came back after I got my policy, but the customer service was good to enable me to ensure it was correct and valid. I took out 2 sets of insurance with Aviva. One for car insurance and one for travel insurance. In both cases I cancelled after 11 months and in both cases they continued to take the money from my account on the renual date.
I have since spoken to two other people this has happened to. It appears to be systemic in their process.

I bought car and home insurance with Aviva in November '12 and received one payment in Feb'13. The tracking and payment for my car insurance went smoothly although I had to raise a claim for the cashback from my home insurance. To date the claim is still not being tracked let alone confirmed even though I went through the correct links on Quidco. So it seems buying one product with Aviva works well, but try not to confuse them with 2 products, they find this a bit taxing lol.

I took out my Aviva insurance after being redirected from the Quidco site and no cashback was tracked (supposed to be £80). I raised a cliam and three months later it was declined as another marketing chanel was credited with the sale. I was called by Aviva shortly after I took the account out 'to confirm details' and can only believe this is their excuse not to pay out, as the sale has been credited to their telephone department.
So BEWARE! Do not take out Aviva insurance on the promise of cashback and do not accept phone calls from them as they will use this as an excuse not to give you the cashback. I am disgusted with them.

Purchase made in November '12 has not been tracked automatically, but only after I have queried it with Admin team and filled-in a claim form. It is now February '13 and my purchase has not yet been upgraded to "confirmed" yet - after which I face a loooooong 6-months wait according to Quidco. The admin team has been very helpful, someone along the 'chain' is dragging their feet...

I'd also dispute the claim to be faster paying, as its now been nearly 2 months since purchase and my cashback claim has only now been "confirmed". Apparently the wait is up to 6 months for payment. Not "fast" by any definition.

Initially when trying to get my motor insurance online with Aviva it encountered a problem when it came to taking payment. I had to phone up Aviva to get the problem resolved, which it was quickly. Unfortunately due to this problem my cashback didn't track properly so I had to submit a claim (August 2012). I received the £70 quidco payment in December which really, for an insurance company, wasn't too bad. To be honest, their insurance quote was far cheaper than the rest. I thankfully haven't had to claim as yet so can't comment on that side of things. All in all, not too bad an experience.

One of the cheapest 'on-line' quotes with their 12 weeks 'free' insurance made it pretty good anyway. Then with the £80 cash-back from Quidco made it fantastic - unbeatable!

Was a bit surprised that the deals with Aviva didn't come up on the car insurance search engine in Quidco and I had to look separately through those. Had found a good quote for insurance on another search engine with Aviva, then found that in Quidco they were offering £80 which made it a very competitive quote. Speed of cashback confirmation was reasonably good- 4-6 weeks. Not had insurance with Aviva so far or had to make any claims from them so no idea what their customer service is like. Hopefully I won't have to find out!

Bought mine and husbands car insurance and then daughters ...1 tracked straight away and today is ready for next payment ...2nd one not tracked even though its shown on my cookies ...now if it dosnt get paid ...this insurance was then EXPENSIVE ...!!! So just a thought !!!!

I am getting far too many purchases where I am having to submit cashback claims. I use Safari on a Macbook but don't believe this is the problem. I get a tracking confirmation in most cases followed by a declined all too often. This one is a classic case in point with a large cashback amount. I have a similar amount outstanding on an RAC purchase and another over £15 with Tesco. Sort yourself out Quidco as when I contact the retailers they calaim ignorance, placing the blame at your door. Sort it or I wil take my business somewhere more reliable........better things to do than keep raising and chasing cashback claims

I was warned by Quidco and by a review that Aviva were having difficulty tracking transactions using mobile devises. I followed the advice and used the google chrome browser on my PC to buy car insurance. The transaction tracked immediately and £80 was paid into my account in 28 days. Truly a faster tracking retailer with no unnecessarily long verification period normally associated with car insurance. I also got a very good deal which was unbeatable by any other quote I had during a comprehensive search. Customer service is as good as it gets. Please update your software Aviva so that all transactions track regardless of operating system or browser! You would have a lot more satisfied Quidco members as a result.

I thought I'd got a good deal with Tesco car insurance last year when I paid £200 fully comp on a 2005 Mondeo but shopped around this year when the renewal came in at a 'non negotiable' £245 (I did call Tesco and try to beat them down) - after visiting Quidco I found Aviva who came in at £230 but with cashback of £80 (recieved within one month) bringing it down to £150 - now that's what I call a result....

They weren't the cheapest before cashback, but were with. Did get a few phone calls from them trying to get my to sign up over the phone before I went through the website to buy it. Other than that no problems what so ever.

Searched around for both mine and my husbands ca insurance and the best quote was with AVIVA and the offer through here with £80 cashback was great. It was paid less than 6 weeks later.
Would defo recommend this to anyone looking for cheap insurance with a good cashback deal.

Bought car insurance on 3rd Oct 2012, tracked that night, and confirmed (payable) mid Nov. Aviva`s quote was the cheapest quote as well.Was a bit worried about changing from Morethan, but was alot cheaper. Policy is held online, and you have to print it off yourself, all seems fine, I suppose would only see how good they are if needed to make a claim....But they do pay out!!!

I got a great deal from Aviva -competitive premium and £80 cash back tracked in less than 24 hours. I did think I was getting a policy that lasted 1 year and 15 weeks however I got an annual policy and when I rang to enquire about 15 weeks free I was told it was calculated in the price. Despite this misunderstanding I am still very happy with the overall deal.

Having looked at the Car Insurance market in great detail when my previous Insurer tried to extract the urine with my renewal, AVIVA came up trumps all round. Not only did they quote a market beating price (around £120 cheaper than my renewal) but also offered the highest cashback via Quidco. A win win situation I am extremely pleased with.
Was sceptical but paid up in around 4 weeks

I saw previous reviews and saw that people had been paid within 4 weeks. I got to the 4 weeks mark and was not paid, BUT - 3 or 4 days later I was paid so I am happy now. I think 4 weeks is a rough guide. It's 'around' 4 weeks. So thanks!

Quidco quickly raised a claim with Aviva but not sure how long this will take to go through though. I am just hoping that Aviva and Quidco will honour the £80 cashback for me as it is quite a lot of money to me.

well this is the first time i used quidco and Aviva was my first product and i have to say it was a pleasure to work with. i did a compare quote then i did a quote through quidco and i have to say that Aviva could only be beaten by one other company, but it was only by £10. the other company didn't have half of the cover for fully comp so it was a no brainer, it was Aviva all the way.
the quote was great and very cheap and even got my Mrs on it as a learner driver which made it cheaper again which stunned me to be honest.
I did the quote over the phone and they were very helpful indeed, not just helpful but friendly too, they managed to get me fully comp with only one years no claims with a leaner driver for £245 which in this day and age is a bargain to me.
I asked the lady about the quidco part and explained that it was my first time and she reassured me that everything would be OK, which it has been.
Over all im very impressed with Aviva, both with attitude and price and also what they cover in there cover. i just hope its the same next year because i will be renewing with them based on the service i got from them this year.
i got my policy right away sent to my email addy aswell so was reassured once again there too.
all in all im very happy with Aviva and would recommend them to all.

I got a very good quote from Aviva and although my existing insurer said they would match it, the Quidco £60 cashback made it an easy decision. I was worried that I'd made the wrong decision when the £60 didn't track so I raised a claim. still nothing, and after 4 months I really thought I wasn't getting it but out of the blue it has now appeared and I am more than happy. My thanks to whoever sorted it out. Fortunately, I haven't had to make a claim on the insurance yet so I can't comment on their claims procedure, but the setting up, use of their website and one phone call I have made were excellent.

I ended up having to call nad arrange the insurance through Aviva on the phone as everytime I went to submit my car Insurance application it changed my designation to something new and interesting From Ms Mrs to Dr.
The guy on the phone was good though and assured me it would be tracked as a quidco application and indeed it has been.

Ordered on the 28th Aug for my insurance to start on the 9th Sep, just had an update "15th Oct" that £80 will be paid to me on the next payment run. This is the fasted paying company to date I've dealt with in the past 3 years. Wish all companies tracked and paid out this quickly.Excellent service.

First purchase via quidco and a bit annoyed that nearly three weeks after purchasing, it isn't being shown in my recorded history (I understand that payment may take a while).
Like someone else has said, the 15 weeks does not get added ontop of the annual premium quoted, it is included within the price.... I don't think this was advertised very well. My work colleague previously purchased this deal and the 15 weeks were added to her annual policy when she sent them proof of her NCD - they emailed her back confirming this. When I contacted Aviva to ask when my 15 weeks would be added to the policy, they said they have never offered this........ odd!
As another reveiwer has said, this isn't as great a deal as is being made out, plus I have received 3 marketing phone calls from Aviva and 2 letters in only three weeks!

The 15 week offer is already included in the price shown, don't be fooled into thinking you get extra weeks on top of your annual policy. Everything has to be done online, if you make any changes over the phone you may get charged for it. I got my policy in aug with £60 cashback but I have seen offers of £80. No issues or problems so far although the deal isn't that great as they make it out to be.
