Insurance Earnings Enquiries

June 23rd, 2008

**UPDATE** If you had an insurance transaction declined on 13th June and received an email from us today (4th July), here's why: RBS have asked that enquiries created for the insurance transactions declined on 13th June include the name of the main policy holder. The quickest way to get the message out to everyone, including those who had already submitted an enquiry, was to create a ticket which would generate an email.

If you have already submitted your enquiry, or if you have submitted an enquiry for an insurance transaction declined on the 13th June but did not receive an email from us, you don't need to submit another enquiry; just please make sure to update your enquiry with this information if you haven't already given it. *****

Further to our blog post here, if you had an insurance transaction declined on the 13th of June and plan to submit an earnings enquiry, please submit one as soon as possible. We are going to be sending a batch of these to the network on Friday, and we want to include as many as possible. They take some time to process, however, so if you want yours included in this batch, please submit it no later than midday this Thursday, 26th June. (If you don't get yours in by then, it will still get submitted in the regular monthly batch later this month, but it will not be investigated as quickly as those we submit this week. Similarly, enquiries for transactions other than insurance, or declined on a different date, will be submitted in the regular batches.)

When submitting an enquiry, please include your policy number, the date of purchase, and the type of policy (whether home or car) as well as the expected cashback. If you visited the merchant more than once, please select the date of your transaction in the dropdown list (the time doesn't matter, but the date does.) We have increased the time limit on these, so everyone should be able to get their enquiries submitted. However, if you encounter problems when submitting your enquiry, please contact us here.

Is this Blog still active

I have been waiting since March 2008 for Churchill Car Insurance to pay me, it has now been declined. Why

MiniEmma December 29th, 2008 a 03:09 pm

I too have been waiting since May for my Nationwide payout :(

Dodeuk1 December 10th, 2008 a 05:59 pm

Hi there it has now been 7 months since I purchased my Nationwide Insurance and still waiting! Fed up asking for an update as to what is happening.

Baker200 November 26th, 2008 a 10:01 am

Im still waiting :(

Wish Quidco would reply to this blog

deaglecat November 21st, 2008 a 10:40 am

Still no news on my Nationwide insurance. It was "added" some months ago but there is no sign that it will ever be validated or paid - despite repeated requests via the ticketing system the reply just seems to be "no news".

So what action is really being taken to chase up these requests ?
Are quidco chasing this stuff down ?

walkertony November 6th, 2008 a 12:27 am

Why nearly 5 months after the original Privilege and Churchill declines of 13th June have all earnings enquiries not been resolved and settled? You state on the MSE thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?s=7d974b93dccdefef774ca4072293f65f&t=1101877&page=30 that you're trying to get matters resolved but give no details of problems you're cleary encountering. Your decision to provide very little information in the way of what the hold up is or any deadlines that the network/merchant may be working towards are doing Quidco no favours as far as affected members are concerned!

callum05 October 1st, 2008 a 03:03 pm

yes baker they are taking their time paying it out, mines now gone to october

Baker200 September 30th, 2008 a 01:46 pm

I'm still waiting for mine too, I did ask on one of my many equiries and they said some time this mo th (Sep)... however its now the last day so I doubt it will be Sep now :(

Getting frustrated

cutlaroc September 21st, 2008 a 11:02 am

My Churchill home insurance validated after being declined but it still has not been paid - please can you let me (and I'm sure others) know when (if ever) it will be paid?

These problems with larger amount payouts are hugely damaging to Quidco's reputation.

Baker200 August 13th, 2008 a 03:09 pm

My 2 transactions for Privilege Home and Car insruance have now gone to Validated :-) so I'm now happy. A long wait since Jan, but got there in the end.

Lately however, any large transactions seem to not track, whereas my small ones for like itunes and play do. I just purchased a £3.5k holiday from thomascook.... but it never tracked, so had to raise an enquiry, just seems I'm now forever raising enquiries on Quidco, same with a digital camera I just bought, not tracked... getting rather annoying now.

Churchill owe me £100 - as with most of the others I would not have bought other than for the Quidco discount. No doubt that Churchill have increased their customer base as a result of this 'offer'. I don't think that it is worth cancelling the policy but I will not be buying any other insurance from Churchill unless they get this situation sorted out.

Do Churchill not realise that they are getting bad press all over Quidco and Money Saving Expert - I expect they will notice this time next year when the renewals fail to come in

Mabon August 6th, 2008 a 04:38 pm

@gillianmac - I have the exact same message and mine too is showing as declined. Would be nice if quidco can let us know exactly what is happening.

gillianmac August 6th, 2008 a 09:40 am

Hi, similar to Bricky, I put my Churchill Home Insurance (for £80 cashback) transaction through an enquiry. Yesterday I received a message 'We have been advised by the network that your declined transaction will be validated soon. This enquiry has now been closed for you'. However, my Enquiries page now shows this as declined. Is this normal? Do I have to wait for validation all over again? Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

bricky August 5th, 2008 a 05:29 pm

HI QUIDCO ,ANY ANSWERS TO MY POST ABOVE?

bricky August 5th, 2008 a 05:27 pm

hi,i purchased car insurance with churchill in february which tracked at£100.i also purchased home insurance with churchill in march which also tracked this time for £80.both of these policies are stiil live but have now been declined.i am beginning to see a pattern developing on my account where any large payments get declined but all the small payments get validated and received.my declined transactions are now £300 plus.becoming very suspicious!

jdybnsn August 3rd, 2008 a 08:44 am

Sorry, should have said my LV transcation had been 'tracked' since April (not 'validated') in the comment above.

jdybnsn August 3rd, 2008 a 08:40 am

Just had my LV car insurance of £70 declined - it had been validated since April.
To say I am disappointed is an understatement and feel that the lack of these larger payouts is seriously damaging the credidibility of Quidco.
I've read all this stuff about other cookies etc but really I think it is time for Quidco to renegotiate the terms of their agreements with these guys.......they are getting away with misrepresentation at the very least (and by 'they', I mean the insurance guys that put their deals up on Quidco, not Quidco itself).

STEVECDVD July 21st, 2008 a 12:53 pm

Hi
Just noticed my original declined churchill insurance transaction is now showing as validated.
Does that mean they will be paying out after all?
Thanks

QuidcoCarol July 17th, 2008 a 03:10 pm

Hi poss, the status of the enquiry won't change after it's sent to merchant now. That's part of of the new SureShop 2.0. Please see this blog for more info: http://www.quidco.com/blog/?p=172

poss July 15th, 2008 a 07:03 pm

Hi, I raised an enquiry on 14th June for CO-OP car insurance. On 25th June it was ready to send but nothing has happened since despite sending requests for it to be looked at. Please could someone check it out as it is over a month? Thanks

QuidcoCarol July 14th, 2008 a 12:16 pm

Hi miffyl, the admin status of enquiries submitted since the implementation of SureShop 2.0 is kept on the internal backend of the system because they're irrelevant in the new timeframe, which puts a limit of 60 days from the creation of an enquiry to its resolution. Please take a look at this blog entry for more details.

miffyl July 10th, 2008 a 05:39 pm

Why have you not updated the enquiry status?
Mine is still showing as pending despite being sent to merchant.

QuidcoCarol July 10th, 2008 a 12:30 pm

@prhul, @callum05 - please see our blog post entitled "Declined Insurance Transaction? This may be why" as well as our Help section on tracking and transactions.

Quidco receive commission - and can pay it back to you as cashback - only when we are the referrer for the sale. If you use other referral agents, we cannot guarantee cashback.

callum05 July 9th, 2008 a 03:11 pm

just had a e-mail from clayton dean of the financial ombudsman service with a case ref number for them to take the case up. but e-mailed him back asking to put it on hold until my earning enquiry is sorted.

prhul July 9th, 2008 a 12:21 pm

I received this message from Quidco, about my enquiry about eSure insurance (se above):

Hi, Thank you for your enquiry. The affiliated network has investigated your enquiry and found out that your transaction was credited to another site. Unfortunately we are unable to proceed further with your transaction. To prevent this happening on other transactions please refer to our help section http://www.quidco.com/help/123 Kind Regards, Quidco

I've not had a problem using Quidco before. I don't understand, as it tracked correctly. How on earth did it get accredited to another site?

Thanks,
prhul

mollytrundle July 4th, 2008 a 12:44 pm

all done.
thanks for your support during this and hope we all get paid.
molly

QuidcoCarol July 4th, 2008 a 12:18 pm

@p111dom, it's under Help / Earnings Enquiry Submissions / What Happens After I Submit an Earnings Enquiry.

@deaglecat, please put the policy number as given to you by the merchant.

@mollytrundle, We created these tickets because RBS have asked that enquiries created for insurance transactions declined on 13th June include the name of the main policy holder. We thought the quickest way to get the message out to everyone, including those who had already submitted an enquiry, would be to create a ticket which would generate an email.

If you have already submitted your enquiry, you don't need to submit another one; just please make sure to update your enquiry with this information if you haven't already given it.

karengraham July 4th, 2008 a 12:07 pm

Hi, My insurance from Co-op is now showing as £120.00 received. Thanks for your help.

mollytrundle July 3rd, 2008 a 08:03 pm

On Friday 13th June 08 you had a declined insurance transaction appear. As this happened to many members we investigated it with the tracking provider. We have been informed the transaction was declined because the commission was paid to another referral agent (i.e. comparison site, blog, search ad). If you are confident that you did not use another channel together with Quidco (particularly comparison sites and retrieved quotes) and your policy is live, you can raise an enquiry using the link below. You will need to confirm the policy number and full name of the policy holder on this enquiry so that your declined transaction can be investigated. We will do everything we can to pursue this and resolve it for you.

just received this today, even though all my details were submitted in a ticket last week......

deaglecat July 3rd, 2008 a 07:13 pm

My Nationwide home insurance has not tracked correctly.. despite doing all the recommended things + rubber chicken voodoo.

Can someone from Quidco confirm the correct format for the policy number when submitting an equiry (see earlier post from pastmaster and dodeuk1).

Thanks

Deag

"@p111dom, âpendingâ is explained here⦠Help / Earnings Enquiry Submissions / âWhat happens after I submit an earnings enquiry?â"

Sorry but still can't find it. There's declined, processing etc but can't see an explination for pending?

prhul July 3rd, 2008 a 06:11 am

Hi, to anyone who might look at this blog, I used Barclays Motor Insurance a year ago and they were great with their cashback, and very fast. Highly recommended if they can offer you the cheapest deal, as their customer service was really good when I needed a proof of no claims bonus.

This year I used eSure, as did another Quidco member above, and my transaction was also declined - I'm awaiting the result of an earnings enquiry, which I submitted mid-April and sent to them early-May.

emmsa76 July 2nd, 2008 a 02:04 pm

andrewpaa - same thing has happened to me. I took out my policy out on the 2nd January, It tracked and validated fine. My payment was showing as validated for nearly 3 months, then just before it was due to be paid it changed to declined. :-(
I submitted an enquiry and this was sent to the merchant on the 18th April. Nearly 11 weeks have passed since this was sent and I still haven't heard anything (It's now been 7 months since I took out my policy). Considering they are meant to be Sureshop merchants this is a joke. Sureshop in my eyes is a complete sham.

andrewpaa July 2nd, 2008 a 01:41 pm

Sheilas Wheels declined payment when I took out car insurance. It validated ok then it was declined. If I had known it would be declined I probable wouldn't have gone with them as they were not the cheapest without the cash back.

QuidcoCarol July 2nd, 2008 a 01:41 pm

@karengraham & unsure, please submit a ticket to the support team... you can do that in Help / Earnings Enquiry Submissions / "I would like to make a change to an existing enquiry"

@p111dom, "pending" is explained here... Help / Earnings Enquiry Submissions / "What happens after I submit an earnings enquiry?" :)

Misterguitar July 2nd, 2008 a 09:03 am

I have had no problems with Privilege Insurance either, bought car insurance at the end of April it tracked the same day (as home insurance), it validated the next day then I got the £70 cashback on 1st June. Quidco does work!

unsure July 2nd, 2008 a 07:50 am

I purchased Norwich insurance back at the start of the year. They had a £90 deal. I could have chosen other cheaper quotes but this influenced me to buy.

The txn never tracked and despite raising a query early on, it is still unresolved. I feel it isn't fair and wonder what more can be done. I don't expcet Norwich (or whatever they are now) to get any repeat business from me!

VirusUK July 1st, 2008 a 10:05 pm

I took out a Privilege car insurance for my mum, the £70 tracked straight away but was labelled as Home Insurance, it was validated quite quickly and then recieved the £70 today, thanks quidco!
Also took out my mothers home insurance which was £120 cashback which has just been validated and now i'm just waiting for my betfair, and my own car insurance with prudential to validate, luckily they have all been tracked though!

Anyone have any ideas how long prudential insurance takes to validate? keep up the great work quidco!

p111dom July 1st, 2008 a 09:20 pm

What does 'pending' mean on my Churchill insurance? Can find a definition for everything else but that.

Dodeuk1 July 1st, 2008 a 08:26 pm

I have just had my Nationwide home insurance validated...weh hey... Thanks to anybody that helped in this matter. Maybe I shouldn't jump for joy too soon!

My Lloyds Home Insurance didn't track end of April. I put an enquiry in May 2 and cashback has been manually added to my account today almost 2 months later.
Result - thanks Quidco.

karengraham July 1st, 2008 a 12:40 pm

Hi, My Co-op car insurance did not track and I opened an enquiry regarding this.
I have since had £70.00 added but it should have been £120.0.
I opened another enquiry and it is now closed, saying that you are aware of the problem and are contacting the network regarding this, this was in May.
I have not had the further £50.00 added yet do I need to open another enquiry?

Buxton1 July 1st, 2008 a 12:08 pm

Hi Carol,

I may have not explained myself very well I have had many things paid on time with Quidco and think it is a great service however it does seem in my opinion and also by looking at other members comments on here that Insurance payouts (which are usually of the highest value available) are failing to track on a regular basis

Both my Lloyds TSB buildings/contents and Churchill Car Insurance failed to track and it took 8 months+ to get my 120.00 commission with Lloyds I am still awaiting the outcome on my churchill insurance.

thats 2 out of 2 for me 100% failure to track

I understand that cookies must be cleared before taking out insurance through Quidco to makesure that the comparrison sites dont get the commission instead so I know that that is not the problem with my transactions and I have successfully made one claim it seems odd that the same thing has now happened with my second insurance transaction - they should be straight forward,

You might be interested to see what Moneysavingexpert says about quidco on their website

QuidcoCarol July 1st, 2008 a 11:32 am

@pastmaster, could you raise a ticket so someone can look into that for you please?

@Buxton1, there are no problems whatsoever with payments, systematic or otherwise :) We pay cashback only after we receive the commission from the merchant, and payments are usually made at the end of the month. Please see the Help section "All About Payments" for more information.

Buxton1 July 1st, 2008 a 09:27 am

My insurance money has been received from Lloyds TSB for weeks and has still not been paid out. I thought Payments were beginning and end of every month.

8 months I have been waiting.

There is a blog on money saving expert about Quidco payouts, wished I had read it first before doing my Car insurance through Quidco, seems that there seems to be systematic problems.

pastmaster July 1st, 2008 a 07:34 am

@pastmaster, We will double-check our information with the merchant - thanks for letting us know. :)

Carol. Thanks for your help. Nationwide now validated. Can you get onto my More Th>n above now please?

pastmaster July 1st, 2008 a 07:31 am

I have a More Th>n car insurance policy validated then declined. added then declined again all in the last few weeks. I fail to see what the matter is with what I have provided. I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST THIS COMPANY. It's also unfortunate the Quidco have failed to provide a solution too. Extremely puzzled and disappointed.

astirrup June 30th, 2008 a 02:20 pm

I purchases car insurance with churchill, £100 cashback tracked then declined (tracked ashome) also home insurance via privilege £70 trackeed then declined also, I've submitted enquiries but not all that con fident!!
However am pleasedto say have got the £50 from betfair!!

happiness June 30th, 2008 a 02:03 pm

I have had nat west validated recently and then changed to Declined. Then you send mea message saying it was added, but as yet I've never received it. Policy is still running with them and I completed the trasaction correctly through quicdco and did my bit. PLease can you check this has been sorted out as it's worth £100 to me :-( I submitted an enquiry ASAP since then you have closed the enquiry ???

tallman June 30th, 2008 a 10:09 am

Privilege car insurance has been strange for me too, tracked as home insurance very quickly, then declined a couple of weeks ago. I've submitted an enquiry so fingers crossed. Have to say, I've never had a problem before though.

Rasputin June 29th, 2008 a 11:32 pm

Privilege car insurance tracked as Home insurance, but paid within five weeks! No complaints.

Chewy1305 June 29th, 2008 a 10:48 pm

I have problem with Priviledge Car insurance, also tracked as Home insurance and then declined, I have submitted an enquiry. If this transaction does not pay it will be the first in 2 years. I have all confidence in the quidco team to sort it. Long live Quidco!!!

sheba2006 June 29th, 2008 a 08:13 pm

i was going to do our house insurance through quidco but not after reading all this!

Janelec June 29th, 2008 a 04:34 pm

Like many others I have also lost out by £100 from Churchill Insurance (car).I purchased in Feb. it took til June to decline. Do not understanding how they can suddenly decline with no explanation. only went for this one to get the offer. I rang Churchill but had no success. I will lnot be insuring with churchill next time.

louisewalker June 28th, 2008 a 09:55 pm

I've never had any tracking issues, Churchill, More Than and Swiftcover have all paid out in past and in last few days have also had the Betfair and Mylotto money. A bit worried about trying agin though after reading this lot - my car ins due this week and Prudential cheapest (with or without cashback) but clearly nice bonus! Hope everyone gets sorted quickly.

Dodeuk1 June 28th, 2008 a 06:57 pm

I also did exactly the same as Pastmaster I have now had my Nationwide earnings declined for my house insurance, when I phoned they didn't know of the format Quidco required in order for me to get my earnings. Don't know what I did wrong, 1st time I have used the site.

roonster June 28th, 2008 a 03:43 pm

cass1> Sainsburys Life was fine with me; I took a policy out and was 'declined' online as needed further information. But it tracked and I got paid too

rfmcewan75 June 28th, 2008 a 03:35 pm

I have been waiting over 3 months for an esure commission payment of £35. I've chased quidco several times, but don't seem to get past the retailer 'declined'. The transaction was clearly submitted and tracked by Quidco; I have the policy; its paid for....don't see what there is to discuss. I will involve local Consumer Standards in order to resolve.

cass1 June 28th, 2008 a 12:21 pm

Did Sainsbury's life assurance through Quidco about a week ago, got to the end and it said that it was unable to offer me the policy. In the post a few days later I received it. It hasn't shown up in my earnings that I've been on the site. Anyone else had a problem with them?

Esiotrot June 27th, 2008 a 10:43 pm

oh no - wish I had read this thread before taking out my insurance with Privilege I only insured with them due to the £70 Quidco. Keeping my fingers double crossed this pays out for me and everyone else.

Pablo June 27th, 2008 a 07:39 pm

Checkout the MSE referrers thread , seems someone has been contacted by Churchill regarding the missing transactions .

wemoman June 27th, 2008 a 07:23 pm

Hi all ,Iâve also received my £50 from Betfair into my Quidco account.Hope everyone gets sorted with their declined insurance.

stuart0742 June 27th, 2008 a 06:40 pm

I purchased a Churchill Motor policy through Quidc and it did not track and my enquiry has been at "sent to merchant" for 2 months.

It seems pretty obvious Churchill have just used Quidco to gain custom and had no intention to pay cash-back

My policy cost just under £200 the £60 cashback seemed like an excellent deal, but obviously not.

At least Churchill seem to be getting some negative comments, this will make me think twice about renewing through them next year.

allywaterhouse June 27th, 2008 a 05:31 pm

I submitted an enquiry for privilege insurance in september 2007 for insurance bought august 2007, this was added November 2007 (£70.00).
But I have still not received the money!!!!!

bongofury June 27th, 2008 a 01:20 pm

I don't know where else to celebrate my joy, but I've received my £50 from Betfair and £15 from MyLotto24 :) I hope everyone else gets theirs soon.

mletters June 27th, 2008 a 01:11 pm

Hi, I purchased a Car insurance poliy from LV=, where I wouldn't normally have (due to their generous £70 cashback). This was months ago, and my status just says tracked in earnings, with an estimated payment month of June. The status hasn't changed.

Is there something wrong?

Mike.

chrisriley52 June 26th, 2008 a 11:25 pm

Esure car insurance was declined. Submitted a ticket with the amount and policy number and then showed as pending the next day. Now, the next day, it's showing as declined again. Didn't go through a comparison site so don't know what's going on. Have had other insurance earlier this year and they went through OK. Perhaps, it's costing them too much and they don't want to pay.

Pablo June 26th, 2008 a 10:41 pm

Have you sent the total amount of tickets forward to Churchill for reviewing now Quidco ?

When do you expect to hear from them ?

I hope it is days , not weeks or months .

pandapop June 26th, 2008 a 08:55 pm

I've just come back from holiday so I'm a bit frustrated by the deadline today and also very confused as I don't know if it even applies to me. My status is 'added'.

How long are Churchill taking to pay up as my transaction took place in February?

Brucie24 June 26th, 2008 a 06:20 pm

As some others here my Churchill car ins didn't track and, as others, the only reason I accepted quote was the £100 made it best value!

To add to the insult the green flag breakdown cover (£20 cb) didn't track either. Hmmmm wait a minute they're owned by Churchill! Me thinks they are having us over.........

Have submitted enquiries for both, all very suspicious. Especially considering the volume of people having problems.

jannene June 26th, 2008 a 04:37 pm

QuidcoCarol

I too had a motor insurance track and be subsequently declined (as a home insurance). I raised a ticket to ask how raise an enquiry against this.

I was asked for my purchase date and policy number which I provided. Does this qualify as me raising an enquiry as I still have not had a response to the question of if I raise the query against the declined home insurance or not.

J

treesh June 26th, 2008 a 03:18 pm

Thanks QuidcoCarol - all done now!

Fingers crossed for my £50 :o )

sellis June 26th, 2008 a 01:10 pm

I had the same problem with regards Churchill Insurance i.e. declined on the 13th June, strangly enough a seperate transaction with Green Flag breakdown taken out on the same day, was also declined on the 13th! One thing I noticed when I submitted my enquiry, was that the declined Churchill Car Insurance transaction showed as Churchill Home Insurance - not sure if anyone experienced the same thing?

QuidcoCarol June 26th, 2008 a 12:29 pm

@pastmaster, We will double-check our information with the merchant - thanks for letting us know. :)

QuidcoCarol June 26th, 2008 a 12:10 pm

@sparkyPaul, gooner1960, I'm afraid we're not privy to the details of the ways comparison sites do their tracking. Additionally, tracking methods used by affiliate networks vary, and they use proprietary software, so they don't always give a lot of details of how their technology works. We also don't have access to the software that merchants are using to de-duplicate referrals. (We provided links at the bottom of the recent blog about declined insurance transactions a few days ago for those who wish to look further into this.)

We posted the blog a few days ago because members need to be aware that Quidco cashback is paid when we are the referrer for the sale. If other referrer sites are used, we cannot guarantee Quidco cashback.

@markmc999, if you find that the price for a product on a merchant's site is higher when you click through Quidco (ie, identical quotes; different price), please raise a ticket and let us know the details. That is not supposed to be happening.

@mpowell1946, If you mean the validation form for Privilege, it would be on your home page if you had a Privilege transaction that was made since the beginning of June. But it's not retroactive for older transactions, so it won't appear if your transaction was made prior to that. WRT the utilities contract, there are no validation forms on the site for those.

@treesh, if your original enquiry was for an untracked transaction, and then it tracked & was declined, then please submit a new enquiry for the declined transaction.

julnan June 26th, 2008 a 10:29 am

Hi Pastmaster,
I had exactly the same problem with Churchill and even though I had submitted all my details previously including the policy number etc etc Quidco asked me to do the same.
After a few phone calls I was told that sometimes for correspondance puposes they add your date of birth to the policy so it would become ---------policy number/date of birth-----
I found it very hard to accept that an organisation who knew all your details including date of birth was unable to add the date to a policy number in the correct format !!!!!!
Perhaps the Nationwide use the same format ???

pastmaster June 26th, 2008 a 10:11 am

I took out house insurance through Nationwide and submitted an enquiry with my policy number. Quidco informed me that "The format of this number should be 45******/0***** ".
I phoned Nationwide and they informed me that none of their policies are of that format and that the policy number which I gave with my enquiry was correct.
Why is there this confussion?

treesh June 26th, 2008 a 09:08 am

Hi,

Openend an enquiry on 14th Feb, for my YES Car Insurance - do I need to start a new enquiry?
It was showing as validated, then declined, now sent to merchant :o /
I've sent two messages via the enquiry but no response yet!

Be great if you could let me know, before mid-day.

Thanks!!!

mpowell1946 June 26th, 2008 a 09:08 am

I to have had problems with 2 Privilege Car insurances both tracked successfully showing for 3 months and then suddenly declined and then showing as Privilege house insurance. Have submitted enquiry but am not very hopeful. Can someone tell me where this supposed form is that one is supposed to enter details of the insurance etc and also for a ultilites (gas/electricity) contract.

moorjock June 26th, 2008 a 07:36 am

Hi, just to be positive for all, i used Yes for my car insurance and after submitting an earning enquiry have had it validated and paid. Many thanks Carol? and Quidco

doodledooer June 25th, 2008 a 10:40 pm

Yes my tesco car insurance hasn't tracked either. I've submitted an enquiry so fingers crossed. I made sure I didn't use ANY comparison sites. Made that mistake before!

EFC1878 June 25th, 2008 a 10:03 pm

On 15th June I took out car insurance with Prudential to take advantage of the £75 cashback. So far I have had no indication at all that the transaction has been tracked

flyingflea June 25th, 2008 a 09:39 pm

My tesco value car insurance never tracked either.

Krzyzanowski June 25th, 2008 a 09:29 pm

Has anyone had any problems with tesco car insurance it hasn't even tracked. I submitted an enquiry and it has being saying sending to merchant for ages now.

TheAllenFamily June 25th, 2008 a 07:21 pm

Churchill worked for me too..

28 Apr 2008 22:50:28 Churchill Home Insurance 0.00 100.00 paid 01 Jun 2008

(even though it was for CAR Insurance)

markmc999 June 25th, 2008 a 07:19 pm

sparkypaul - I am totally guessing here. I have a feeling that once the data has been passed it is going to be retained on the servers for quite a while. In saying that I looked at one comparison site for my car insurance quote (due tomorrow) and esure was by far the cheapest. Came to look at it direct through here and it was then £100 more - even after cashback!

sparkyPaul June 25th, 2008 a 07:14 pm

I would like to ask the same question as gooner1960.

How long should we leave between visiting comparison sites and going through Quidco? is 24hrs sufficient, or is there no hope once the comparison site has passed identifiable details to the insurance companies?

JULIAMBUCKLEY June 25th, 2008 a 03:58 pm

I used Quidco to organise my home contents insurance with Halifax - no problems re the cash back.

Transaction done late March 08, tracked then validated and then paid in early June 08 - full £55 received

Sorry for all those who have had problems - but Quidco does work - at least it did for me

claire0208 June 25th, 2008 a 03:35 pm

My Churchill car insurance hasn't tracked either from April - I do have an inquiry in. The only reason I nought from them was for the £100 cashback!

QuidcoCarol June 25th, 2008 a 01:36 pm

@sureshsamtani, please submit an earnings enquiry if the transaction has tracked at the wrong commission value. You can do this by clicking on Help / Earnings Enquiry Submissions. There is a link on that page for submitting an enquiry. :)

bongofury June 25th, 2008 a 01:29 pm

Priviledge are showing as 50% tracking reliability, and out of the enquiries, only 14% have been successful - the figures say it all.

bigdude40 June 25th, 2008 a 10:28 am

Pru Health are very poor at handling enquiries it seems.

Not only did my transaction not track with them, i had to wait 120 days to raise an enquiry (seems slightly over the top).

This has now been sent to the merchant a month later, and two months later not a word back. Very poor.

Buxton1 June 25th, 2008 a 10:08 am

Insurance seems to be a sore point for Quidco I have had to make a claim for every insurance policy I have put through as they did n't track.

Lloyds TSB Buildings and Contents took over six months to be tracked, approved and paid
Churchill Car insurance also failed to track and is now being investigated.

sureshsamtani June 25th, 2008 a 08:00 am

Vodafone says that it will track for £90.00 on a sim only package but when it has actually tracked it comes only to £46.00. Is this a mistake by the merchant or quidco and i would be great if quidco could chase this up!!
Vodafone 0.00 46.00

MidasTouch June 24th, 2008 a 11:31 pm

I also bought car insurance from co-op in March which, after submitting a successful enquiery, has been âaddedâ as only £20. However the cashback on offer was £120.

quidco said they were aware of the problem and it would be updated in due course. Seems a long time any idea when I might get full payment

must be many more in the same boatâ¦.

pepsidave June 24th, 2008 a 08:54 pm

i had the same problem with churchill and when i phoned to cancel they said i had to pay £50 cancellation fee and that they have nothing to do with Quidco

Quinton June 24th, 2008 a 08:51 pm

My Priviledge Car Insurance although showing as tracked has now been declined and is showing as House Insurance??? Have logged an enquiry.

My Churchill House Insurance though by comparion went through a dream, was tracked same day, validated 2 days later and is now paid:-) and that was done only a few days later.

davroduk June 24th, 2008 a 07:48 pm

Thought it was only me having problems with Churchill.
Seems to be a bit of a pattern forming here dont you think.
Me thinks Quidco has been stitched up by the insurance companies.

pawpurrs June 24th, 2008 a 07:08 pm

Very concerned about privilege mine is tracking but I just dont trust it now, after reading all this. It seems it is unlikely to pay out.

pinzamoss June 24th, 2008 a 06:35 pm

@Callum05 - I had the same issue, again with Privilege care of their £100 Quidco bonus offer. Car insurance policy tracked in error as home insurance, but correctly showed £100 as the total due. Transaction got stuck, sent in an earnings enquiry - and it's now in the system awaiting an answer. In my case it's doubly annoying - because I renewed my other halfs car insurance for her on the same deal. Two policies, two transactions, with two tickets, one showing £100 due - the other now showing £30... Am sure Quidco will try to sort out the mess. If not, Privilege won't be seeing any of my business again... Wonder if the £100 cashback offer was a little too successful for them... :-(

gooner1960 June 24th, 2008 a 05:14 pm

How long should you leave between a search on a comparrison site before ordering via quidco. I have just taken up contents insurance via quidco after comparing(both on the same day) so i take it i can forget the cashback now then.
I think it should be highlighted on your links that this can happen.

emmit21 June 24th, 2008 a 04:44 pm

I had the same problem as jhiker. The only reason I went with Churchill was for the £100 cashback!!! Will be submitting in my enquiry later, before 26th June though!!

ryoooh June 24th, 2008 a 01:23 pm

i still dont get how surely if it tracks in quidco then it MUST be coming through quidco. even if someone searched a price comparison site the day before, prices can still change ! they've still made a pretty much independent decision to go for that one product, through quidco, with the price search as a rough guide. Also do you have any info on the legality of these companies all sharing people's surfing habits and personal information for purposes other than searching for a product to buy i.e. for affiliation purposes. im sure that in just the same way as you would infringe data protection by giving out specific details, their tracking software is infringing it by taking data entered in a price comparison engine and matching it to seperate data through a different source....

QuidcoCarol June 24th, 2008 a 12:59 pm

@marielou1860, we're in contact with the network on these; sorry for the delay :)

@mjradders, how long ago did you submit your enquiry, please?

QuidcoCarol June 24th, 2008 a 12:47 pm

@callum05, you only need to submit one. If you have a choice of type on the date in question, submit one for the type of insurance you purchased. Submitting two only clogs up the system for everyone.

@abc456, you're not doing anything wrong, but as Muzz says, you need to wait before submitting the enquiry. It can take a few days for transactions to track, so you may find you don't need to submit one. :)

Muzz June 24th, 2008 a 12:08 pm

abc456 you have to wait another month just like it says :o )

mjradders June 24th, 2008 a 08:47 am

I had a similar problem to marielou although mine was with essentialtravel.

Spent £69 on travel insurance but only got cashback on £28. Put in a query and heard nothing since.

marielou1860 June 24th, 2008 a 07:55 am

I bought car insurance from co-op in March which, after submitting a successful enquiery, has been 'added' as £70. However the cashback on offer was £120.

When I queried this i was told it would be updated in due course - any idea when 'due course' is likely to be....? :)

I'm sure there are many in the same boat....

sbaddams June 24th, 2008 a 06:35 am

Hi, submitted an earnings enquiry in Feb which has not been updated. At the start of June it suddenly appeared as tracked/validated (can't remember which one) on 1st May. Then last week it was declined though my enquiry still shows as submitted. Do I need to submit another ?

Cheers.

abc456 June 24th, 2008 a 02:20 am

Hi there guys can someone PLEASE help.

I bought car insurance on 19th June from MoreThan - it has not tracked. I tried to submit earnings enquiry and it won't let me. It says I have to wait till next month to submit query.

What am I doing wrong?

callum05 June 23rd, 2008 a 11:33 pm

i have put in 2 enquiries in, 1 under car insurance and 1 under home insurance because my car insurance tracked as home insurance, so i have put the 2 in to make sure.

Karjon June 23rd, 2008 a 11:11 pm

I did not use any comparison site and yet my privilege insurance tracked and then declined.

QuidcoCarol June 23rd, 2008 a 10:18 pm

@rogercor, if yours is validated, you don't need to submit an earnings enquiry. :)

QuidcoCarol June 23rd, 2008 a 10:10 pm

@gary_rip, robbyw, you guys wouldn't believe how red my face is right now! Thanks for catching the error about the SureShop timeframe. As you so rightly point out, SureShop doesn't work that way anymore. These enquiries will be subject to the new timeframe outlined here. That was my mistake, and I apologise for the confusion.

@dratcliffe, that would have been after our blog on the 18th, so it's a little soon to be hearing something just yet. :) Your enquiry is in our system.

@harwookf, it looks like your transaction tracked on its own separate from the enquiry and then was declined, so please submit a new enquiry since it has been declined.

robbyw June 23rd, 2008 a 09:12 pm

I agree gary_rip, there surely wouldn't be any problems processing a large number of sales!!!!!
If they don't pay up they should be banned for life.

rogercor June 23rd, 2008 a 08:57 pm

Is there any problem with More Than insurance.

I had £75 "validated" on 11 February but not paid as yet. Is there any need to raise an earnings enquiry?

jhiker June 23rd, 2008 a 08:14 pm

Surely once it's been tracked, validated and pending all the checks re correct referrals have been made. Mine got this far with Churchill, it was pending for several weeks, then suddenly declined.

harwookf June 23rd, 2008 a 05:13 pm

I submitted an earnings enquiry about three weeks before the insurance transaction was declined. Ironically, it was sent to Churchill the same date as the decline. Do I need to submit another enquiry or will my original one be looked at again?

dratcliffe June 23rd, 2008 a 05:06 pm

Bit off topic but what about the GAME problems? I submitted a ticket and as yet have heard nothing?

QuidcoCarol June 23rd, 2008 a 04:55 pm

@adrian2000, all the enquiries that have been submitted will be investigated. However, the declined insurance transactions we posted about are not the result of a tracking issue. As always, Quidco cashback is paid when we are the referral agent for a valid transaction. The point of our previous post is that using comparison sites or any other referrer can mean that Quidco will not be the referrer for the transaction. We feel it's especially important for members to remember that now because more merchants have begun using software to eliminate duplicate referrals.

@sandraspeight, that should not normally happen. Please submit an earnings enquiry with the details so it can be double-checked by the merchant.

sandraspeight June 23rd, 2008 a 03:23 pm

Can something be validated then declines? I would have thought it wouldn't get past the tracking stage. My sheilas wheels £35 was declined. I wouldn't have bought through them if I'd have known

adrian2000 June 23rd, 2008 a 02:20 pm

Hi, I have submitted an enquiry for Esure, which has been declined. I am not sure of the exact date that it was declined, but you should have all of the info you require. If you have not can you please contact me. Is in now safe to make another insurance purchase now as I have my Car insurance to do soon, but do not want to do it via Quidco if the tracking issue is not fixed.

Adrian

gary_rip June 23rd, 2008 a 02:07 pm

If they go over 30-day SureShop time frame they should be chucked off the scheme!

Its there for a reason, a large number isn't an excuse.
