bought from glasses direct 24hours ago, still hasn't tracked can't submit enquiry for 12 weeks. when will this track quidco?

can someone confirm what this means please?

"Each Quidco-tracked purchase that a team member makes at a participating merchant will âstampâ one of your bingo squares"

Does this mean any purchase from a merchant that is on the card, so for example 02 is on the card but you don't earn cash back for accessories so if you purchased an accessorie should the card stamp???

I have now made purchases from Magazine Group, Ebay and M&S (Magazine Group and M&S have now tracked but not yet Ebay) and not one of the three have been stamped on my card. Quidco advised last time I had changed my card hence why my previous transactions to this hadnât tracked, but these transactions were all done on my new card and not one has tracked. How can I have any faith that if I go ahead and shop on all the other merchants to try to get a line that they will actually track???? An answer Quidco please.

i've ordered from gizoo as well & it hasn't shown up as tracking yet as well will we still get paid £20 for our completed line where gizoo, firebox & game have't shown as tracking yet?

Just realised that I'd bought from 3 of the companies on my bingo card before I signed up for the game. Saying that, even if they were all stamped, it would still only give me a max of 2 on any line!

i would settle for pixmania tracking and a new card!

£5 for each of the 4 team members rather than £1.25 would be nice!!

The Quidco staff member who posted last is wrong. You CAN have team members removed, our team did it, the team member who wants to be removed has to request to be removed themselvs. We did it a couple of weeks back so i know for a fact that quidco will remove members if asked to.

13 stamps now with 4 in a line at most, theres no line that we can complete without making a dear purchase that we dont need, not changing cards at his stage, waste of time, i hope the promos are worth it!

For me, there are too many mobile phone retailers on the cards. Like a lot of people, I had already done a lot of my Christmas shopping and just have a few bits to get.

I think what is a shame is that when the bingo first started people didn't realise you could delete the cards to get the best one. The other problems didn't help like the tracking and stamping. I think it was a mistake putting some of the retailers on the bingo list. It will be impossible for most teams to complete if they have the high priced merchants on there line that is nearly completed. I also am disappointed Quidco have failed to come on the blog and update us all. I am hoping this is because they want to tell us good news about all the promotions coming up for the crimbobingo.

I agree! 14 stamps ( well done kristieoliver...lol ) and another two untracked ( Glasses Direct and Vodafone ) which would make the most in a line 5 if these came through... It's a complete waste of time.

We've got 14 stamps (well done setzanswell!), but most is 3 in a line, and the merchants in between are generally high value purchases. I appreciate it sounds like ungrateful sour grapes, but I didn't expect the reality to be so difficult - nigh on impossible - for £1.25! Isn't there a way of making this as rewarding as it should be? It seems that most members are frustrated and disappointed with the reality of the game.

The idea seemed so good and when i first started to read about it i thought great. I have just realised that if a team even completed one card, which really would require all 4 to make purchases in real reality to get £5 between them, the chance of completing a 2nd or 3rd would be really slim. How many times will 4 people buy from similar shops over 1 month?

Really I think quidco made a big mistake. Each card should have had a much higher prize and allow bigger teams.

I thought this would be a bit of fun and when I saw my bingo card realised it was actually going to be extremely difficult to get a line of 8 with the merchants in the orders that they are on mine. However, my team have made several purchases that we would have made for Christmas anyway and I must admit to one totally unnecessary one, albiet a small one, just to get a stamp. Unfortunately HMV, J PICS, AND The Hut haven't tracked, (two purchases from different memebers for The Hut as well!). When I read the blogs that some people have had cards randomly completed after attaining 8 stamps it spurred us on as this at least gave everyone a chance but no when we get 8 stamps this has been stopped.

Quidco how do you expect to get rid of your other thousands of Crimbobingo cards now?? ? I think you'll be left with quite a lot as there is not much time now and most believe savvy enough to using Quidco for their Christmas shopping will be nearing the end of it too!

How on earth are you going to "giveaway" 12000+ more cards when people have to get 8 in a row. The cards were hard enough to fill when you had to get 10 "anywhere" (due to the glitch!) - your original figure hasn't gone down by much has it - despite us all shopping away to get 10 stamps per card. I guess you won't be giving away much more of the allocated fund then before the deadline. Come on Quidco - why not revert back to the 10 anywhere stamps? The cards even then weren't exactly flying off the shelves!

We cannot complete our line

2 team members (myself included) have purchased from the remaining merchant Pixmania and neither has tracked or stamped. What a waste of time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No tickets can be put in for 28 days and it's ruined our chances completely, why are these merchants even allowed on Quidco?

Hi everyone, We apologise for the problem with the random stamping. That's been fixed now, and all cards will require completion of a line before the card is completed.

Unfortunately it's not possible to remove members once they've accepted the invitation to join. There is more information in the Rules of the contest, linked in the original post: "Each team can consist of 1 to 4 Quidco members. The membership of a team cannot be altered, changed or disbanded once a membership invitation is accepted. Team membership will persist for the duration of the promotion. A team may only be disbanded by the team admin if no other members have joined."

Finally, we appreciate the suggestions about the leftover stamp, etc. As pinklady756 mentioned above, please keep an eye out here for extra promos!

We have two team members in Crimble Fairies who haven't stamped or communicated... missing one stamp from Glasses Direct too and can't enquire until 2 weeks have passed.

We are missing 3 stamps we should have had, are nowhere near a line, and have a team member who stopped communicating the minute they were invited.

Kind of agreeing with you!! I did the Jpics one anyway....11 stamps, but nowhere near a line - I don't think it's working the way Quidco was hoping unfortunately. Still waiting for a response to all of the issues raised in this Blog.

It's ridiculous... I've bought from at least three merchants I wouldn't normally have bothered with and still nowhere near a line! All for £1.25p... I'm a fool.

well we have 12 stamps now and 1 pending but still no chance of a line, im not expecting any team member to bust a gut to buy expensive items for a share of £5, when theres little chance of us completing another, very disappointing

they need to launch them very very soon as this wasnt thourght out very well and they still have well over £63 to give away lol

Had response to a quidco ticket I put in, re: random number of stamps completing the card for some teams. They confirmed this was happening but has now been fixed.

I really like the idea of this "competition" but something really doesnt add up.

If £64,000 is to be given away, that means that 2,500 rows/columns have to be filled in PER WEEK! According to the main crimbobingo page there are still 12,776 cards left which means that only 24 have actually been filled in! So where will the extra £63,000 go?!?!

well its been 11 days and only 24 cards taken? thats £120 IF they are compled of course lol, only another £63,880 to go lol, before dec 20th? so 24 days left!! still on our first with possible no chance of completion even with 11 stamps and 2 pending

We have had more than 8 on a card and it didn't complete the card so not sure why others are saying it works. Another team also seemed to get two cards completed at the same time which is starnge. We completed our card and got £5 they completed 2 cards at the same time and got £10, you tell me how 1 team can complete two cards at once??? There is flaws for sure just not in my favour lol.

sentzanswel - yes I did! I will be stamping Photobox or Jessops in the next couple of days, but not sure how far it will get us. Would be really useful if Quidco could clarify the rules. I have also read others who have said they had cashback for 8 stamps anywhere on the board!

Shame this crimbobingo started now for me, I'm waiting for the january sales to buy goods, So i didn't think it was fair to join a team as all I have bought since this started is a £9.99 purchase from play.com.

I've read at least 3 comments from people completing cards without 8 in a row. Ranging from 8 anywhere to 10 anywhere. Has to be the same rules for everyone, otherwise it's just a complete farse. Either something is going wrong or people are posting rubbish to wind others up.

Another flaw in this whole thing is transactions not tracking, the amount of time some merchants say you must wait before you can raise a ticket, means you might never complete your line in time.

Hi kristieoliver! Did you stamp feelunique and the body shop? I know that I did the other 8 (9 with the untracked glasses direct!). Just wondered if the other 2 members were contributing at all...

Would also be interested to know whether 8 in an 'indirect' row count eg going up, then sideways, then down? We have 10 stamps but not all joined. It seems nigh on impossible given a lot of the missing merchants for a straight row would be huge purchases!

Ive asked this a few times, the first was about a week ago then 5 days ago on here, can left over stamps can be carried over onto a new card once youve filled a line. Still no reply from quidco about it or anything about how they plan to give away £64k in the near impossible bingo game.

I actually found a good deal on a merchant site that I wouldn't normally have used because it was on the bingo card.... £10 off a £50 spend and free delivery at House of Fraser. So got a Christmas pressie with £10 off plus cashback

Seems a rubbish competition. Chances of people getting even 1/4 of £5 are slim. I wonder after the competition is closed if Quidco will state how much it paid out?

Quidco, Last year you were attacked for having too few prizes and a competition that was dominated by businesses, this year you are being attached for a vurtually impossible competition that gives very little for a spend. Maybe next year, a few months before Christmas you can run a competition that asks people for ideas, then Quidco chooses a few viable ideas and puts them to the vote with the winning idea getting a prize.

Stop being tight and donate a few pence to a worthy charity - Ty Hafan Childrens Hospice In Wales - for charity.

I've received an invite for a card but apart from the name of the group and the motto I cant find anything about it/them. Am I missing something? I'm probably not going to be able to participate a huge amount so dont want to ruin someones chances are completing it. Also I take it there is no way of communicating with the members of the group other than by spamming the quidclan?

seztanswell - if you send a ticket about this they will be able to change it for you. I sent them a ticket listing bingo team and the quidclan I wanted to change it to and it was changed really quickly.

I'd also like to change the associated quidclan.... will this be made possible?

I deffo think the people in a team who are no longer buying for the team should be removed. It shouldn't be to hard to get a line if you get a decent card and everyone picks two shops. It is unfair if a team member disappears and reaps the rewards whilst other members then have to buy from extra shops. Hopefully Quidco will find a way round this.

I didn't know that at the beginning either, I thought you were just stuck with the first... no chance of me getting a line, especially as the other member is neither stamping or communicating!

I didn't know u could change cards to the best that suits you, if our team has already got stamped, is it still possible to change cards or will we loose the stamped retailer?

Nice suggestion pinklady: Our team have talked about this. It is also discouraging us to buy thing that are not on the line and waiting. Which is not working in the merchants favor or ours!

Quidco - please, please could stamps not forming part of the winning line be carried over to the next card?

I think a lot of people were not aware that these extra stamps would not count. Our team personally will have at least 3 in addition to the line we've almost got. It would be great if these were not wasted, recent offers with many high street merchants have meant purchases had to be made there and then to take advantage of those prices.

@quidco - i was only joking about staff buying new cars with the left over money, i know its for a big party really lol

my firebox has not tracked or stamped. Nor has ebay and I have bought twice from both mrechants and it just not tracking.

quidco - I would say that the best way to prevent any abuse of removing members would be to only allow members who have not contributed any stamps to be removed from the group.

hmv does stay at 0.00 till dis[atched, then it will show your earnings, maybe your stamp will come then?

i don't understand how this works - bought something from hmv which has been tracked and validated but my bingo card is empty and i'm showing as zero earnings. how long does it take? it validated a few days ago now

Re: slackers, see your point with giving admin rights. Is there a way for you to automatically detect those members who didn't contribute anything to the bingo card, so they don't get a share of the winnings/are removed from it? Not sure if that's something that's possible, would be fairer than just taking someone's word for it.

Going through the comments it's hard to know if people mean tracked or stamped? If something isn't in your Earnings let's use the word 'tracked' - if it's in the Earnings but not on the card let's say "stamped". Hope that makes sense? That will help us troubleshoot any problems!

There is a delay between when something is tracked and when it gets stamped as a script has to run but it should only be less than an hour - not a day!

About slacker members. The problem is if the admin can boot members off then the admin could technically abuse that buy getting members to stamp cards and then booting them from the team! If anyone can think of a way around this let us know.

@mutsnuts - The prize fund is for giving away to membes. 100% of that is going to be gone to members by the end of the promo. We are not keeping any of it for ourselves!

@loupomm - We are taking feedback on board and there will be some promos happening to help people complete the cards. We want everyone to win - that's the idea of this!

Firebox hasn't tracked for me either and quidco said they were not aware of a problem with the merchant.

It was a great idea, and well done to Quidco for setting it up, and have to admit I stupidly have bought stuff from retailers I would not normally use (HMV) so it has worked to some extent. But the only reason I'm doing it is the hope that towards the end Quidco change the rules and I'm lucky enough to meet the new conditions!

Some Ideas:

Make it more like real bingo, each team has a strip of 16 cards (or 4 cards for each member), each stamp is across _all_ cards - this would make better sense for a team as more likely to get £5 each.

I've made a number of purchases at one retailer but will only get one stamp, even though the amounts were quite large. Perhaps just have normal bingo style cards, and each purchase randomly stamps the card. Appreciate some people may abuse this by doing lots of small purchases at ebay.

Probably too late to change the rules significantly though. Presumably as all the participating retailers have to agree? So I'm hoping that in the last week Quidco do a lucky dip or something, teams with the most stamps get the cash back?

I agree, I think that the competition is good in theory, but this is the first time it has been done so there are bound to be things that need changing.

I think the main issues are being able to remove inactive members, excess stamps carrying over on to a new card and offering bonuses in some way (e.g. for having a stamp for a particular merchant, or getting x amount over the whole card)

I think a few tweaks are necessary, in particular letting us carry over unused stamps to the next card, but let's give quidco a break, I'm sure they're doing the best they can.

well looking at the stats they have 3 cards with lines so far, thats £15 in 5 days, at that rate they may have to pay out a whole £100 by the end of the bingo lol

Well im glad im not the only one! I raised the point of this competition being a farce ages ago. Where is the fun in spending hundreds of pounds at shops.merchants you would NEVER usually use for a measly fiver? Im guessing that the £64,000 pot that quidco has is probably from projected extra comission.

This "competition" is a sly marketing ploy to increase sales. Maybe im being synical but i doubt there will be ONE person who soley qualifies for the bonus credit as nobody will use such a broad spectrum of merchants EVER, nevermind for the duration of this competition. And as for the chrimbo clans, im guessing the few that do get the bonus fiver wont be over the moon at the £1.25 or so they recieve after shelling out a fortune.

Come on Quidco, change the competition to something everyone can win for just entering, not having to spend a fortune. This competition is miserly at best. Its christmas after all!

This bingo lark is actually stopping me from shopping, not encouraging me to shop more! I could stamp these right now: argos, tesco, mothercare, asda, avon, pc world and orange but they are scatered all over the card so its stopping me from using these till a later date when we get a new card. Anyone else found this?

I have to agree with Strawdogs comments - it's crazy that you need to shop at 8 retailers (at least, probably a lot more to actually complete your line) for £5 you'd probably need to spend a few hundred pounds across the board some of which will be at retailers you wouldn't usually use. I generated 1/2 a dozen cards before finding one that I'm even vaguely comfortable with but I have to be honest that I probably won't even bother with the competition as it feels like collecting 100 stamps one for each time you buy a coffee just to get one free cup of coffee - the reward compared to the cost doesn't stack up. It's also not really bingo, as bingo involves an element of luck whereas I don't see that in Crimbobingo - it's all about spending a stack of money at retailers you wouldn't usually use.

So when you complete a line the extra stamps are worthless? I thought you could work on the same card building up more lines. That's complete pants then, we have 1 or 2 extras in addition to the line we're working on, are these wasted stamps then?

another idea could of been to each week announce a few random retailers and if your team had them stamped you win x amount, this would still mean each team try to get as many as possible to increase their chance of a prize. then a new card starts untill the next batch of retailers are anounced, as it would be random, everyone would have a chance.

if you want someone removed from your card you need to get them to request to be removed with quidco, there is no other way.

Still problems with ebay stamping

I would like to join a group please so am happy to receive invites. Can I join more than one card? Got lots of shopping still to do and I will be doing it all online.

Quidco this seems like a very poorly thought out game to me - last years competition was a bit of a joke with the resellers bulk buying to shift on via eBay along with those people who were lucky enough to be buying items on behalf of their companies meaning most catergories were completely out of reach for the vast majority of members but it at least seemed like fun.

This just seems fairly pointless given the tiny reward for filling a line, needlessly complicated and doesn't contain that staple of all good competitions - the chance for someone no matter how limited their buying power to 'get lucky'.

I think after the amount of work you've no doubt put in you'll not be in any rush to withdraw it but I'd be interested to know if you've done any calculations based on buying patterns to come to conclusion you'll be able to award £64,000 in prizes before the closing date because personally I think you'll have a large amount of that pot left when this competition finishes.

I agree, it might be better to offer smaller prizes for getting x amount of stamps.

Also, there should be a way of getting rid of a team member if they have not yet contributed something. We have a member on our team who has stopped contact since this started, and collected no stamps. Yet they will benefit from us shopping through particular merchants at our own cost. We knew this person beforehand and could not foresee this.

From the people I have spoken to, it seems we are not the only one this has happened to and some people are purposely joining a group and then just sitting back and hoping for £ to come their way

I agree with loupomm! A line of 8 in any direction inevitably includes an expensive brand. Sharing £5 between 4 is pants and it's not even that likely that most teams will achieve that when you consider the above. Come on quidco, perhaps a re-think on this. I think there are enough members saying the same thing.

@mutsnuts Crimbobingo started on the 15th, but Quidco might be nice and stamp it as it was only two days before. Really unlucky if they don't!

to be honest as great as the idea is and it could of been fun, but i think its a bit of a long shot for our team, we already have 8 stamps but none to form a row, all of which all have an expensive site on, which no one could be expected to buy from to get a share of a fiver lol,maybe a certain number of random stamps on each card would of been fairer even if it was more than 8. so i doubt we'll get to card 2 lol, but a fun idea and good luck everyone

i was advised by a quidco staff emeber that if you deleted a card without realising your stamps would be removed, to open a ticket and quidco will add them manualy for you, not sure if that only counts if you did it when the cards wernt displaying properly or not though.

Ah found now what you mean by "cycle card" : BEWARE anyone else doing that - it seems that DELETING a card also deletes any stamps on it - kinda implicit I guess, but NOT spelt out when you do it.

Can't see us getting a line anyway - maybe worth trying to get one if the reward was more worthwhile eg £50 shared between the group, but £5 shared is frankly a bit of a let down. Still can't look a gift horse in the mouth - participants are getting something for nowt and aren't required to participate.

Is it me or is this Christmas Com not as good as last year. I agress that last year could have been split to allow more winners, but I can see a New Year competition coming with the left over un used cards.

It looks like you clearly have to spend a lot more than £5 to get your cashback (which is split through the team). Where as last year the winners came out well.

Maybe there should have been half as many cards, with £32,000 going to a prize draw that everyone could win that has purchased.

@mariejader - Give it a few hours after it tracks to stamp your card. If you still don't see it please get in touch through Contact form so we can take a look. If something didn't track get an enquiry in asap.

@mutsnuts - Transactions map to the card that was valid when they happened. If you delete a card then and get a new one the only transaction that will map to the new one are those that happen since that new card was open. If you deleted your old card by mistake raise a ticket and let us know and we'll mark off those transactions manually.

@mutsnuts - Yeah we might make it an option for the clan admin to turn off those messages. We put them in so others could see progress but on some big clans there is a lot of messages.

The other day when the cards where a mess I deleted our card and got a new one only to find that didnt display properly either, I then left it a while and Quidco must of fixed the problem. My question is why arent the stamps showing now? there werent any showing before I changed the card and a member has used a couple of the merchants since and they arent showing!

I should have at least three stamps on my card, I cannot see any difference, my purchase on one has not tracked either, do I need to raise a ticket quidco?

@Vicous77 - Last year we had super huge prizes but the complaint then was not enough members won. So this year we are trying to get as many prizes out as possible so lots of members can win. We will make sure that by the time it's over all the bonus CrimboBingo cashback has been given to members.

Don't forget that you can choose to complete any row horizontal or vertical or diagonal and you can refresh your card when first claiming it.

I dont want to sound a scrooge or anything but its going to be really tough to get a line on your card and is it really worth it? You need EIGHT merhcants, some who only sell expensive electrical items. Id guess you might have to spend about £200- £300 just to get your £5 bonus. Even less if your in a team, quite a huge outlay for a little return. Methings this £64,000 cashback stash is actually going to be future comission for Quidco bringing in the extra custom for these merhcnats.

@adamuk82 - You need to have the card claimed and then do the transaction. I think the stamp delay was related to the problem other members mentioned above but that should be fixed now. If you deleted the card the transaction won't count for a new card... Maybe raise a ticket and the admins can manually stamp it for you?

Anyone else reading - Don't delete your card if you want to keep stamps for any transactions during that time!

@xpander - You can associate your team with a Quidclan and chat in the clan. The idea is that Quidclans will show how many winning teams they have so you can rank your clan against others.
