Remember, remember the fifth of November…in style
November 5th - the one evening of the year when it’s acceptable to celebrate the execution of failed assassins. And how do we commemorate such an event? Well for a start, no matter what our age, we happily watch wood burn, play (sensibly) with sparklers, stare in wonder at fireworks and imbibe a suspiciously warm fruit and wine concoction.
Of course given the onslaught of winter it’s usually cold and muddy, so a pair of dashing, sturdy boots is a pre-requisite…good, old-fashioned English boots to be precise. These tan leather brogue boots from Grenson (£195) are the type of thing we mean. Featuring traditional punch detailing, a wing tip and all the class of a classic countryside gent, they’re not just practical but incredibly stylish.
