Booked a hire car for Florida January 2013. Budget were not the cheapest but offered a good cash back deal via quidco. The car rental was excellent but the cash back never tracked. Now after months of waiting they have declined my claim.

I use Budget Car rental often and I never have any problems getting cashback. Don't forget to buy annual car hire insurance via Quidco to cover any car hire insurance access. Much cheaper what the hire firms offer.

Car hired location was closed when arrived in Portugal, had to contact main agent in another area via hotel reception. At no point via mobile or email did Budget contact me. When eventually picked up car, the car was clean but not new with lots of scratches and broken wing mirror. Now claim declined as not met T&C, can't see which but will no point pursue having waited 3 months for this outcome. Very disappointed.

Purchase did not automatically tracked and I had to individual claim. In addition, Budget didn't provide a proper convertible vehicle as described ... it was only a moon roof ..

Decent website, fair prices, service at the desk at the airport in South Africa was good, but only because they allowed a free upgrade to a Polo after first giving me a Kia, which was a surprise given the price difference of the rent categories.

Cashback didn't track initially but I raised a claim which was successful. After claim had been raised it was confirmed and ready to be paid within about 2 months. Watch out for their extra charges not quoted on the purchase cost e.g. Insurance, congestion charges. They soon mount up.
