Instore cashback is very slow to pay out, 5mths plus, online purchases cashback paid out much quicker and was very efficient.
Overall would recommend using debenhams as you can buy a wide variety of products at a reasonable price and they always have some sort of discount offer on. You just have to have a bit of patience when it comes to getting the cashback.

I went with a friend for a wedding outfit - very helpful personal shopper. My friend managed to get a lovely outfit at a good price.
I then saw a couple of dresses and the personal shopper provided me with her attension. I purchased the dresses. I possibly wouldn't have bought anything but that the personal shopper was very helpful.

My instore cashback tracked perfectly - in December. It is now April and still no sign of any getting further than tracked. Good service instore and instore cashback nice to have but disappointingly slow to process.

they are big name and they do stand up to that no doubt. The prices are not as good as Tesco obviously but some good deals if you keep an eye and product quality is good too. The only complaint i have is their delivery. They deliver to store for free but it takes 4-5 days!! most other retailers do next day but somehow a major name like Debenhams can't do it.
definitely buy from them though in all departments. good retailer.

I cant speak for all Debenhams but the one in Blackburn has terrible service, and they never remember to take the security tags off. I complained to the manager but two months on I am yet to get a reply

Never had any problems with the tracking or payment of cashback. Even when I return items that I no longer need, they get the tracking right. Most of my cashbacks have been from in-store purchases.

I find I regularly have to chase Quidco for my cashback from in-store purchases at Debenhams, payment is typically 6-9 months behind purchase time and, frankly, is becoming more trouble than it's worth. If you're going to do cashback and your transactions typically track inside 2-3 days, why does it take up to 9 months (and chases) to pay that cashback?

I have received cashback from in-store transactions and was amazed by the tracking and payment speed. I am now waiting for my first cashback payment from an on-line order, very surprised with the speed of tracking again.
With regards to the quality of products, I have my favourite lines and was never forced to return goods, products were always top quality.

As the title, great to get cashback from shopping in store with registered cards. The bit BUT is that they are very slow to pay - mine are taking on average 6 months. Much quicker by buying online - that pays out within one month usually. Come on Debenhams, there's no excuse after the 28 day return period has expired.

I ordered a Pulsar watch from Debenhams, it took 8 days to arrive in the store for collection, not the advertised 2-4 days. When I opened the packaging, the outer box was crushed on one corner and the actual gift box broke apart, ie the hinge snapped. The display cushion appeared to be for a different watch and had an orange mark on it.
I took it back to the store for a refund and would not order jewelry online from Debenhams again. Especially disappointing as was to be a birthday gift.

It seemed as though no one wanted to serve me. I stood there for a while whilst the staff argued about how should be serving me. I found the service to be in poor taste at the shoe counter in Croydon on that Thursday evening.

Multiple transactions with this retailer, only 1 or 2 tracked, the rest had to be claimed. 10 months on from some of those transactions and I am still waiting for the money. Quidco have been brilliant in chasing these on my behalf, but Debenhams are incredibly slow to respond or pay.

It takes 10 months to be paid. This is really rather disgraceful! Utterly disappointed. Assuming the refund policy is standard at 28 days, the cashback should surely track after 28 days and be paid within 3 months.

poor amount of cashback from such a large retailer and very slow to pay - 6 months from purchase date.

Takes a few months for cashback to be confirmed but there's nothing to lose when you would be using your registered card to shop there anyway. I keep forgetting I will earn cashback so it's always a lovely surprise. Quidco - more "In-Store stores" soon please!!!

Extremely poor speed in receiving cashback. Tracking cashback was pretty swift! Would use again as a regular customer at Debenhams.

Very slow, but it does come through. just accept you can't rely on it too much if you desperately need the cashback

I had forgotten I had registered for instore cashback but Debenhams didn't and it was tracked and paid within days.

Debenhams are being slayed by the competition when it comes to speed of payment. I'm not sure why they choose to be so slow, but it does make me more inclined to make my purchases elsewhere.

Their products and stores are very nice to shop in but its a waste of time trying to get cashback, you could spend more time than you have spent chasing it up. This retailer and others who don't pay or who take so long to pay indicating that they want you to give up, don;t deserve any customer loyalty. Vote with your credit card folks; there are lots of retailers, who do invest the time to get the whole deal right for the customer including speedy cashback- Debenhams ain't one of them!

Purchases are tracked quickly, but that is all. Have had to chase for monies. Still have monies tracking from end of 2011. Very disappointing.

Same issue as previous reviewer, currently have 14 in-store purchases being tracked, some as old as 1st Feb - would be nice if they A. sped up the payment processing, and B. grouped same company payments so that it doesn't take up my entire page of the same company name.
Takes too long to pay cashback!

Have so many instore cashback claims waiting to be paid and they seem to taker far too long! Would like if this aspect was addressed, but otherwise fine as a retailer!
