Payment of cashback etc has always been fine with EuroCarParts. However you do have to be careful to check you have ordered the correct parts, and also check the correct ones have been delivered! Their dispatch/delivery notification system is pants... if it transpires that there is not enough stock to fulfill your order, do not expect to be told... I have had to chase them up many times.
I reserved supposedly in stock parts that incurred a surcharge that would be refunded on return of my 'old' removed part and arranged for a 'store counter' pick up. When I got there they offered me a box that had obviously been previously opened as the security seal was broken. I asked to see the item as I had previously had received a pattern part in a genuine box from this supplier for a similar item for a different vehicle. (however, once you take it away, try and convince them of that and they will laugh at you and tell you to pull the other one). I gave them another chance on this as with the discount code offer, the price on this part was very competitive. At first the counter man was very put out that I asked to see the part and he didnt want to open (or obviously in this case re-open) the box. I insisted and low and behold the item wasn't a new genuine item, or even a new pattern part for that matter, it was a very dirty old removed or returned part. It was the only one on stock apparently and I didnt really get a proper apology for my wasted 65mile round trip. If I had taken this out of the store, I would have been laughed at by them if I had tried to return it and very out of pocket. I will avoid this retailer in future and advise all to check what they receive from this supplier very carefully to ensure it is what it is supposed to be and not some 'cheap fake' part some devious person has returned in a genuine box. Make sure it is what it is supposed to be. Security seals on boxes are there for a reason!! If the seal is not intact, make sure there's a good reason why not. Probably not the retailer per se, more likely the staff who accept returned parts and don't thoroughly check that they are not being defrauded by some 'customers' returning an 'unused ' part for a refund having swapped it for a pattern part or just trying it on. They need to tighten up on fraudsters. Just my 2p worth. Make up your own minds though. Twice now for me and a good few quid out of pocket for petrol, there wont be a 3rd time!
Not only were Eurocarparts the cheapest. They offered a fantastic service, rapid delivery that was very well packaged. Aside from the cashback, they were over 50% cheaper than the high street alternative. Amazing.
