Using a comparison site, I found Expedia was the cheapest for the identical booking a few times. Even once I wanted to extend a stay and used hotel wifi to book as the hotel reception wouldn't match the price.
Have always found the cashback tracks ok and pays reasonably quickly.
A couple of times got confused with the standard email notification which is too generic for the hotel you are staying at (arrived too early to check in). Also confusing whether you have paid or just guaranteed a booking... even one hotel wasn't sure when i checked out!
Benefitted from 10% cashback which is fantastic discount. And Nectar points. Once got triple points due to non-Quidco Nectar promotion.

I will certainly not be using Expedia again. This is the second time a large Expedia purchase (£1500+) has not tracked- the first time the claim was refued. All future hotel stays will be purchased through Quidco but using another online holiday retailer !

I booked through Expedia for a few activities on my latest holiday simply because of the cashback offered. It didn't track and Quidco is on the case but it has been months now and I've heard nothing. I wish I had just booked direct with the attractions as it would have been much quicker, and when I forgot a print-out of one of my tickets the activity could have looked my booking up on their system, instead of me having to trek back to the hotel to retrieve it as Expedia bookings are apparently a whole different ball game to them.

Seeing as Expedia are not listed as a faster payer, I got my cash back within 9 weeks, got £90 back on purchase of 14 Day Disney Ultimate Park Tickets. And £12 on a hotel, cant fault it as the cashback made the purchase the best deal anywhere.

the service is ok if you don't have any issues or changes or questions, they do have good offers and great cashback rates, just a shame you have to go through a long winded process to claim the cashback offer that they used to entice you to their site over all the other sites. I made 3 bookings and am still waiting for the 3rd one to be paid.
You need to raise the claim manually for each purchase you do as these don't get tracked for some reason. I'm sure they have a reason but as a user i don't care about that i care about the ease of use and user friendliness of the process

Purchased our recent family holiday to Euro Disney through expedia. We were already happy with the price but decided to put it through Quidco to see if any cashback would come back to us, and it has! The speed of tracking was great, think it was within a few days and confirmation was about 3 months which was quicker than I expected. Would definitely purchase through expedia and quidco again.

I always try and use Expedia when booking hotels. I have booked hundreds of hotels with them over the years and never had any problems. They have always paid the quidco payments even on the rare couple of times that the transcation has not tracked correctly.

...or the correct amount, at least. I booked a holiday during the £60 cashback promotional offer last October. Cashback tracked at £15 (equivelant to 1% of my spend), I wasn't able to raise a claim as the Quidco site kept giving me a message that the way the cashback had tracked was correct, but would be amended when it was paid out. It wasn't, and paid out at £15. I have raised a claim but am not hopeful - I've had this situation before and the exact same thing happened.
Why do retailers/Quidco advertise a promotional rate if they don't intend to pay it out?????

I order theme park ticket for my holiday in orlando.
Cash back tracked ok. A month later recieved an email say that the tickets have been cancelled but I could re buy them at a higher cost. This company is a disgrace AVOID

I've used Expedia for years and the last couple of times through Quidco to book flights. No problems. Cashback tracking and payment were pretty quick. On my last trip the connecting flight was delayed then rerouted, and the airline counter staff said they had to do it through Expedia since I made the original booking there. It was done, no problems.
If you have a Nectar card, you can get points as well. All round excellent experience.

Expedia is a good site I have been using to book hotels etc for years. They have good customer service, mostly competitive prices (though it always pays to check elsewhere too!) and now I can claim cashback via Quidco too. Found the cashback tracking etc to be fast and fair

You usually find hotels with good prices, but not always.
When I had to book a hotel in stirling I had a look at the major holiday websites like expedia and couldn't find anything reasonably priced. So I was just about to give up and pay more than 100£ for just one night, but then I simply had a look on google and found a very nice hotel, well located for about 70£.

Expedia offer fantastic cashback rates on specials and good rates on normal day to day but their speed of paying up is - to say the least - PANTS! As long as you're not too bothered it's a good stash of cash that eventually arrives, but I booked 3 times with them in 2012 and it has taken 6 months and raising of 2 queries with Quidco support before I got my money. So as I say, worth the wait, but don't rely on it, and don't forget it - raise a query or you may never get it! Other than that, I got £100 back on a 12% cashback offer on US flights, so better than the average amount!

Expedia is a great website easy to use and nectar points too. Booked 4 different hotels through quidco/expedia over several days, 2 of the transactions tracked almost immediately but had to raise a claim for the other 2 transactions, will have to wait 3-6 months according to their terms and conditions for the outcome. . .

I am a seasoned Quidco user and have never had a claim declined before, but Expedia has suddenly declined a valid claim of mine. Reading other reviews, it appears that this has become a common occurence. My advice would be to avoid them until these issues are resolved, Use instead Hotels.com who pay back within a week or two of booking.

My claim has been rejected as the transaction can't be traced, despite my providing Expedia with their own internal reference number. I only used Expedia as their cashback rate at the time was better than the Hotels.com rate - the hotel price was exactly the same - but apparently they don't pay cashback anyway.

Booked a flight in November 2012 from Newcastle to Birmingham through Expedia. At the end of checkout the website jumped a page so I was unable to enter my Nectar card number though did receive an e-mail confirming booking and my credit card charged. My quidco account did not track the transaction so raised a claim. Have been informed today that the merchant unable to find transaction so no cashback - not happy

Read the poor reviews before using Expedia, however i have never had any problems before from purchases tracking through Quidco on other products, so I decided to go ahead. What a poor decision that was!! Purchase never tracked and claim declined. Quidco should seriously consider removing this site, as it isn't good for Quidco image. I will never use Expedia again. Avoid at all costs.

Purchased on 25 Jun 2012. It is now 8/1/2013 and still not received the funds. Just received an email saying the claim has been 'approved' and now Quidco are waiting for Expedia to 'confirm' the cash back. Lord knows when/if I'll see the money...

Considering this site is all about cashback tracking, Expedia is awful. Granted, they have been pretty competitive recently regarding the amount of cashback they offer, I have found them to be (BY FAR) the slowest payers of the hotel booking retailers. Currently I am tracking 4 expedia items, two are 3 months old, where other retailers have already paid similar cashback claims made after these.

Expedia and Hotels.com provide the best customer service I have ever experienced from a travel company. I recently travelled Asia/Australia and used Expedia to book flights and hotels.com for hotels. We had some issues with Virgin flights, check in staff refused to let us board. After a very frustrating time dealing with Virgin we called Expedia who got straight on the phone to the check in staff (who had made a stupid error). We could hear the conversation and we were boarded shortly after, thanks to the CS agent in Expedia who really fought for us.
There were a few issues in Hotels also, which Expedia handled for us. My advice is to book with an Expedia company when possible while travelling. It is great to have them to call if you have issues while travelling ( and there are nearly always issues)!

I use Expedia a lot, but the tracking is terrible, I have to keep raising a claim, and actually getting the cashback takes an eternity. I have had cashback just confirmed from flights I bought in September! I booked a hotel in November, didn't track, raised a claim, still waiting on it to track, no doubt come March I will get some sort of tracking.
It's almost like Expedia are trying to drag their heels, so you miss cashback out of neglect.
Please see hotels.com for fast cashback - they should be aiming to match them for speed.

Great deal and cheaper hotels than elsewhere. I did, however, expect them to be quicker with the payment (3 months).
They simply don't respond to claims raised!!

I submitted a claim as my purchase wasn't tracked. Its almost been a year and I am yet to hear back from them.
other than that, the cash back % is great and you can really save some money if you are frequently staying at hotels they offer.
Very hit and miss!

I have big problems with making purchases with Expedia through Quidco. My purchases never track, so I always have to raise manual queries to get paid them. IfI forget to do so then I miss out as it never does it automatically. Very frustrating when I miss out on cash back due to this, especially considering the sums involved in flights and hotels.
My advice is always check a few days after the purchase to see if it has registered.

This was absolutely ridiculous, in the time it took for expedia to pay up, I completely lost interest in Quidco as a concept. Not really sure if I'll even bother now.

I bought some flights and booked a hotel together. When I did this without the Quidco link, it came up with one price (gave me a discount for booking the 2 together). When I went via the Quidco link, it came in at a higher price (i.e. no discount for booking hotel / flight together). However, the quidco link did claw back a little bit more than the combined discount but did take around 8 months to sort out. It didn't track properly and I had to do a lot of extra requesting.
I suggest that if booking more than one item through expedia, you check the price with and without the Quidco link.

To date, I've never experienced any issues with Expedia service, range and amazing cash back incentive with Quidco for their hotel deals. They are often the first website I visit when booking holiday accommodation around the world. The cash back incentives have always been honoured, and I recommend Quidco / Expedia to others all the time.

Expedia offers some good deals on hotels and it has a wide choice available. I booked a hotel at quite late notice and after comparing a few websites Expedia proved to be better and cheaper. the buying process was very quick and everything was confirmed in good order. The Quidco cahback rate is also rather good.

I used Expedia to book my trip / holiday to Portugal. They offered the best cashback rates - had the most easy to use website. Had the best prices... It was such a bonus when the cashback was processed smoothly and paid into my account - great post holiday treat.
I've just used it again to book a business trip! :)
Expedia take there time, its only been 6 months......

i simply wouldnt bother really, i purchased in june and its take untill end of oct to complete. Could you imagine lending somebody some money and not getting it back until a few months later.

I have shopped on Expedia over 10 times this year already and have always received cashback every time. Quidco cashback deals + Expedia travel content which is already the best prices in the market make this a no brainer.

The only reason I went through Expedia was because of a good cash back %. And like others it didn't track even though i correctly went through quidco's link.... Now I have months to wait to see if I will get the cashback..... Not impressed, and certainly wont use Expedia again unless its the cheapest regardless of cashback.

1st and LAST time i'll use expedia......Problems:-
1. Cashback not tracking on quidco.
2. Booked holiday online and on the last page the price had gone up on the flights but was hidden into the overall holiday cost....same flights still bookable cheaper AFTER as i initially wanted but too late as i'd paid so i know it's a con....try booking flights then adding a hotel onto that booking (like they encourage you to do and watch the flight cost go up but only if you click on the flight cost on the last page of booking AFTER you've already thought the price you initially said yes i'll have those flights has suddenly been altered.....bait and switch tactic which is actually not legal).
3. Complained to expedia asking them to refund the difference in the overcharge...guess what?.....NO reply in 2 months just some indian guy phoning me to say non refundable booking many times in his best english and "it's a live system".....yeah i know it's live as i can still see the cheaper price but was conned into booking a higher one!!
I've had no problems with Quidco in over 14mths.....1st one is Expedia and it's the last booking i make with them.

Expedia always give a good choice of hotels and I always get a really good price. The only drawback is the pop-up asking me to answer a survey which never goes away even when you answer the survey. Very annoying.

Bought 3 items via Quidco at different times, 1 item didn't track but eventually was tracked after escalated it via Quidco. 2 and 3rd tracked ok. Paid cashback approx after 5 and 4 months.
