We currently make payments via either PayPal or BACS. There is a max £50 limit on PayPal payments for security reasons, so if your scheduled payment is higher than £50, you will need to switch to BACS. Failure to do so may delay your payment.
Please make sure you select a payment method; otherwise we cannot pay you! You can select a payment method by clicking on the "Settings" link when you're logged into Quidco.
It is free to set up a PayPal Personal Account, but PayPal charge transaction fees for payments you receive into your PayPal account. You may wish to consider using BACS, as it is free.
It is the email address you associated with your PayPal account when you registered with PayPal. We need it in order to pay you.
We do permit multiple accounts to use the same PayPal details. In order for us to prevent fraud, please understand that they will be closely monitored to ensure that one person is not manipulating multiple Quidco accounts.
For security reasons, payments over £50 must be made via BACS. PayPal payments are only an option if your payment total amounts to less than £50. Please be sure to adjust your settings accordingly, or your payment may be delayed.
BACS (Bankers Automated Clearing System) is a system in the UK used to make direct transfer of money between bank accounts. As long as you have a UK bank account, all you need to do is provide us your bank sort code, account number and the name of the person(s) the account belongs to (you do not need to register anywhere or set anything up!)
BACS payments are free.
To select BACS as your payment method, log into Quidco and select "Settings." This is a secure page; you will see the padlock either at the bottom of the page or at the right-hand edge of the address bar, depending on your browser.
When you first change to BACS payments or update your BACS details, there will be a 10-day security hold before payments will be made into your account. After the initial period, monthly BACS payments will generally take 3-5 working days to go through to your bank, but can sometimes take a week or two.
We pass on 100% of the commission we receive on transactions, which means Quidco cashback rates are generally double that of elsewhere. All we keep in exchange for that is £5 per year as an administration fee.
The £5 admin fee is only deducted when you have earned enough to cover it. It is deducted annually based on your registration date (and is only deducted from transactions made from that date). It will always be deducted from the first £5 earned in each year of your membership.
Joe signs up to Quidco and never buys anything through the site. He has never earned any Quidco money so there is no money for us to hold our £5 fee from. Nothing happens.
A: Alex signs up to Quidco in November 2006 and earns £140 in his first month. On his first payment, £5 is held back and he is paid £135. Nothing more is held back by Quidco for the rest of his registration year until November 2007.
B: Alex keeps on buying! In November 2007 Alex doesn't buy anything through Quidco, but in December Alex earns another £95. Quidco keeps back the first £5 he has made since his November registration anniversary, leaving him with £90 earned since November 2007. Again nothing more will be held back until his next anniversary in November 2008.
Alison joins Quidco in February 2006. Between February 2006 and February 2007, she only earns £3.40. As Quidco keeps back the first £5 earned in a year, she does not receive any money. However, in April 2007 Alison starts an online shopping spree, earning £87 through Quidco. Her first year's activity (or lack of) does not affect her second year, and Quidco only holds back £5 as usual, making her first second year payment £82.
If you see a deduction in your earnings of less than £5 marked as 'admin fee', it means you have not yet earned enough to cover the full £5 amount in the current year of your membership. The fee in your account should reflect all 'received' amounts on transactions placed since your joining date. Transactions that have not yet been marked 'tracked' or 'validated' won't be counted towards the admin fee until they are marked 'received'.
The administration fee amount that shows in your earnings is a cumulative amount of every year's administration fees charged since you've been a Quidco member. For example, if you've been a member for 2 years, your admin fee will show as £10; £5 for your first year and £5 for your second year.
This is how much you want to accrue in your Quidco account before you are paid. By default this is £0.00, meaning you will get paid each month we receive earnings for you, even if they are only a few pence.
If you decide to change this, enter the amount you wish to set as your minimum payout, minus £.01. This is because once the default Minimum Payout is changed, received amounts that are exactly the same amount as the designated Minimum Payout will not trigger a payment. For example, if you want your minimum payment to be made at £50.00, you would need to set your Minimum Payout to £49.95.
Payments are made on all 'tracked' or 'validated' amounts in your earnings only after we receive the money from the merchants, which usually takes 2-3 months. At this point we will mark the earnings in your account as 'received'. Only then will they be payable to you.
Payments are normally made automatically starting at the very end of the month. Sometimes payments roll over into the start of the new month. The final payments usually go out by the end of the first week in the new month.
In order to get paid, you must have selected either PayPal or BACS as a Payment Method, entered the appropriate payment details and have your Minimum Payout set (to less than your received earnings) in My Settings.
For security reasons, no payments will be made from your account for 10 days after you have changed your payment details. If this occurs during a payment period you will have to wait for the next payment period before your payment will be sent out.
To get an idea of when you can expect payment for a particular transaction, go to My Earnings and click on the appropriate month. Estimated payment dates are indicated by a '~' in the Payment Date column. Please note that these are estimates and not guarantees of when you will be paid.
If you have earnings marked as received you can check if they are scheduled to be paid by clicking on the Payments tab.
Don't panic! We try to get most payments out in the last few days of the month, but some often slip over into the start of the next month.
Please be patient. All payments should have been made by the 10th of the month at the latest, but we will often give more details in the Quidblog - please check there first to see if payments have finished.
If your payment is still marked as scheduled after payments have finished, please check to make sure your minimum payout is set to less than the payment amount, and that it's not over £50 if you use PayPal (if it is, you will need to switch to BACS). If neither of these apply, and your payment is still showing as scheduled, please get in touch with us.
Payments can take a few days to clear (and sometimes even longer!) Please wait at least 2 weeks before contacting us, as the vast majority of payments do clear in that time.
If you are on BACS payments, please check your email spam filter, because if a BACS payment fails for any reason an automated e-mail will be generated, requesting that you log into your Quidco account and correct the BACS information. We cannot attempt payment again until this is done.
These statistics are only a guideline and NOT a guarantee! They are also only an indication of Quidco and its members' experiences, and not an opinion or judgment on the merchant.
This is an indicator of how long it takes the merchant to report transactions to us.
This is an indicator of how likely transactions are to track automatically. Merchants that have quite detailed requirements (such as gambling sites) may be more prone to transactions not tracking as expected. The percent of successful enquiries is an indicator of how effective the merchant has been at tracking down missing transactions.
This is an indicator of how long it takes merchants to pay us.
The major reason is that not enough members have used the merchant and we do not have enough data. We are also unable to publish reliability statistics for merchants where the average earnings per transaction are less than £1. This is because we cannot ask merchants to investigate small amounts and can therefore not determine the true number of missing transactions.
The stats are updated automatically within the system, so they're effectively real-time.
If a merchant changes affiliate networks, the stats are reset. In other words, they're not necessarily cumulative figures unless the merchant has been with one network all the time.
