How to disable hardware based security
There are too many different types of networking hardware with integrated security to detail. The best approach is to consult your hardware documentation and disable any component that might block cookies or site referrals.
Typically networking hardware will use web-based settings configuration, so a good place to start is to browse to the devices IP address.
The following is an example of how to disable problematic security on a Netgear router.
- Log in to the router configuration page. In your web browser access the site http://192.168.0.1/start.htm where 192.168.0.1 is the IP of your Netgear router.
- By default, the username is admin and the password is password.
- Click on WAN Setup under Advanced.
- Make sure the "Disable Port Scan and DOS Protection" is checked.
- Click on Apply to save the settings.
