Having had issues previously in store at Homebase with a pricematch and a refusal to refund me 10% as advertised and still no response in relation to this. I decided to give Homebase the beneit of the doubt - silly me! Despite spending almost £400.00 at Homebase and my Quidco account showing a credit of around £15.00 I got an email the other day stating that Homebase had declined my cash back! As the purchase was partly based on the cashback amount - (Homebase were slightly cheaper than another store) I feel very cheated by this. On a plus side - I also spent approx £450.00 at B & Q but this appears to be being paid - so it looks like B & Q have gained a new customer.

Ordered new garden furniture through quidco, at £ 500 a fair spend so cashback was a nice extra. But 2 months after purchase cashback declined - I cannot see any vaild reason. At time of order was also advised delivery would be within 28 days but it took nearly two months. Would approach this retailer with caution.

Bought a dining set after seeing you can get cash back here and their being a 20% off offer. However today I get an email saying the cash back had been declined. Terrible and should have expected it from a budget retailer.

Ordered some basic Dulux paint which the website said was In-Stock. 1 week later (after it was suposed to be delivered) they emailed to say it was not in stock and never would be again so would be cancelling the order. With very little effort they would be able to sourse this product. If you actually want things to arrive so you can use them DO NOT USE these people.

Had to put in a claim for the cashback from a reserve and collect. I had all the necessary details for the claim - receipt and order number, but Homebase couldn't trace the transaction, I've obviously made up my own order number and created my own receipt. Very disappointed in the hopelessness of a large company.

Used Reserve & Collect. Had to chase up cash back. Now declined 2 months later and I still have the receipt. Reason Homebase has given is that it cannot be traced. I must have an imaginary receipt then!

Had two reservation cashback declined for no good reason. Quidco expect you to have kept your receipt from months ago to claim. Seems the reservation number is not enough. Won't be shopping at Homebase again so their ineptitude will cost them long term

Was given a delivery date at time of purchase, then a phone call the day before with a 2 hr time slot, plus a call on the day 30 mins prior to delivery so very pleased with service. One of the chairs was faulty (manufacturing fault) but it just needed a quick phone call to customer services who arranged for a replacement to be sent out a few days later.

I ordered a camera from the Homebase website and arranged a date for delivery of this item, on the day of delivery after waiting in all day for the item it doesn't arrive. I phone them the next day to enquire where my item was and to rearrange delivery only to be told that the item had been delivered to me on the Saturday even though I had arranged it on the Monday. I had been home all day on the Saturday and so knew it had not been delivered on this day, Homebase said they would contact the delivery company to ask them what had happened. I rang back 2 days later as Homebase had not got back to me about the delivery company had said. The delivery company had said that they had left the Camera in my porch, I told the operator that my porch was kept locked even when i'm in the house so that would be impossible, they were going to get back to me!! I rang them back again and they said the driver had put the parcel through an open window!! I informed them that it was the first week of January and I wasn't in the habit of having my windows open when the temperature is around Zero degrees Celcius. Leave it with them and they'll get back to me. I rang them back the following day and the driver has said he must have left it with a neighbour, I told the operator I had checked with all my neighbours and none of them had taken delivery of it. I asked for them to rearrange delivery only to be told that they no longer had any stock of this camera, but I could collect one from my local Argos if I wanted to so the operator reserved one for me and gave me the reference number. Upon arriving at Argos I gave them the reference number and they said that'll be £129.99 please, so I explained what had happened and after phone calls lasting about an hour with Homebase from the Argos store I eventually got my Camera. Homebase absolutely terrible service won't be using them again.

Got a great discount through quidco for Homebase, and their service was very quick and the price was very good anyway, even with the discount. Cashback tracking etc was average; would be nice to be quicker for a large retailer.

My order was easy to place, and delivered as promised. I had advance warning, a reminder the day before and a call about an hour before. Items were placed exactly where I wanted in the garage no problem. Quidco cashback was paid no problem, but still took about a month for the 'faster paying' retailer. Watch out for Homebase prices - they are a bit on the steep side. Always worth checking on the sister company Argos, as often exactly the same product is cheaper (and even delivered by Argos!). But when Homebase have their discount offers, plus the Quidco cashback and Nectar Points it can work out a good buy. I've not used the reserve and collect service.

Don't expect to be paid cashback from homebase. I spend over £700 with them on wall tiles and didn't get a penny! The reserve and collect at the local store wasn't very good either as they hadn't put aside the tiles for me to collect.

I've constantly had issues not just with tracking, but with Homebase as a company. Reserve & Collect cashback constantly gets declined even though I've collected and paid for the items. Then the website is unstable and constantly stalls/fails to loaf/does weird things. Also the website will let you complete an order only to, after confirmation, tell you several items are not available (despite being listed as available), forcing you to pay for postage on just the part of the order that is available. Then it's a costly 0845 phonecall to speak to a miserable and disinterested call centre employee. Abysmal.

B&Q is good on the range of products and prices are reasonable in the sector it operates. Special offers and deals can be particularly good. In store staff are very helpful and good to see they employ older staff who can pass on advice and support based on experiance. THE QUICKEST PAYER I HAVE COME ACROSS ON QUIDCO.

Please, please DOUBLE CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNT as I was charged £23 more than my online order actually came to, and then had to fight the simpletons to make them understand, even though I had original invoices and online email confirmations stating correct price. Took over four weeks of endless expensive calls to get MY money back, no real apology or even a good will voucher. Refunded by cheque too so more hastle to bank and wait to clear. First point-of-contact staff were ok, but whoever they passed complaint onto were useless, & when I asked for manager she was rude and unhelpful. It would never have come to light unless I had spotted the error myself. Totally useless, will never deal with again. Also my order was for paint - very poorly packaged and they had to resend 3 times due to split pots. Decorating delayed for weeks. Very frustrating to deal with all round. Never again AVOID ....AVOID .....AVOID

I used Homebase on the Click and Collect service and was pleased at the prospect of receiving cashback for this. However I was to be sadly disappointed! Around 3 months later they have DECLINED my cashback for no reason as I collected my order, paid in full, and have not returned any of the products etc. Of course, because it has taken them so long to decline my cashback, I no longer have any of the click/collect order details to pursue them on a declined cashback claim. I will never be using Homebase click and collect again or ordering online with them, as I am experiencing the same if not worse problems with their online service. MY ADVICE IS USE B&Q!!!!! I have used their Click and collect service, got better cashback, and paid VERY fast with no query or decline. B&Q service excels, and they shall be receiving all of my future business.

I bought a garden bench from Homebase via the quidco site, they took 3 months to decline the cashback saying they were unable to trace it. Rubbish. The bench was very oily when it arrived and we were afraid to sit on it for a few weeks in case it stained our clothes!
