Booked my room back in October 2012, it has tracked OK, but I'm still waiting for it to confirm. I booked with them last year and the money was confirmed and in my bank account within a month from booking! Very poor!

The retailer do provide a good service, that cannot be denied. But the tracking and payment of cashback is dreadful. 4 purchases in the last year and not a single one has tracked. I'm yet to have the claims I have raised confirmed and two of them date back to stays in September last year (booked in August)!!!
I would suggest using with caution... If the cashback makes a hotel your choice because it works our cheaper than elsewhere then don't rely on it. This retailer now owes me about £35 but I'm not expecting it to get paid. A definite case of "Buyer Beware!"

This used to be the speediest cashback payment retailer. Now that they have removed the 'faster paying' tab, the payment speed in comparison is shocking! Hotels stayed in during February have still yet to pay out! Average payment speed is 4 months plus! The only thing Hotels.com have going for them is that after 10 bookings you gt 1 free night. If another retailer had a similar promotion then I would stop using them.

If you book with Hotels.com you get cashback plus points in their reward scheme "Welcome Rewards" which means you get a free nights accommodation after booking 10 nights.
Also they have a Price Match Guarantee which is great, they replied within minutes at 11pm. I just been told they will refund £62 after finding my hotel somewhere else slightly cheaper.
I would definitely recommend using Hotels.com.

All the booking I made required me to raise a missing cashback claim although I have clear my browsing history and cache. It feels that they just hope that you forget about it and don't claim for your missing cashback. Awful Service.

I booked a stay through Hotels.com on 1st November last year for a stay in the middle of the month. I had to submit a cash-back claim as it hadn't tracked (which is a pain!) and it was finally 'approved' in March of this year (5mths later). It's now mid-May and I'm still waiting for it to be confirmed - what is going on Quidco??

I used to love using Hotels.com and the tracking and payment were fine. Over the last month or so Ive noticed it being patchy to downright bad. I use this site a lot for my business travel plans and I cant be doing with raising missing cashback claims most of the time. Or are they just hoping that you'll forget or wont bother raising a cahsback claim. I'm going to move away from this site if this continues which is a shame as I like the site.
To the previous poster asking the question about why the stay needs to be completed before cashback is raised. That is because many of the hotels have a cancellation option. So potentially, you could pay up front, cancel your stay before it begins, get a refund and get cashback too. If you complete your stay then they know that transaction has gone through to completion. Hope that helps.

Good service but tracking for this retailer has become hit and miss in recent weeks. Not sure if this is down to the actual tracking or changes they have made to their user interface. Cashback speeds also seen to have taken a turn for the worse in recent months. Great for the 3+ years I have used it, but am now considering using an alternative if tracking does not improve.

Not the fastest cashback I have ever recieved but I got it in the end.
Cannot understand why you have to wait until after you have completed your stay as you pay up front when you make the booking.
If anyone can explain this to me please feel free it may be that I am missing something.

I'll give up. I stay 1/3'd of the year in Hotels and always used quidco in combination with hotels. However over the last 2months hardly anything gets tracked resulting in a loss of over 100's of pounds for me in cashback and it just causes alot of irritation. Besides that all the sudden hotels.com doesn't pay anymore for weeks/months. Usually after a stay in a few days or week i had the cashback comfirmed and all was good. Now its taking months.
If they don't change things in a few weeks i'll be using other companies for my bookings.

Don't bother with this. Raised a claim in february after it didn't track and still no cash. Only reason I used them was because the quidco made them the cheapest! Aside from that they're expensive.

Never had any problems with Hotels.com in terms of bookings, however the cashback rates keep changing, and the speed they pay out your cashback after your stay goes from the sublime to the ridiculous - have had it pay out within a few days, other times have had to wait three+ months. Also had one occasion where it didn't track, submitted a claim which took an eternity to sort, but eventually paid out.

Every time I use Hotels.com it fails to track. Every time. It's always necessary to put in a claim which delays payment by months.
I have two claims outstanding at present, and had several claims from last year outstanding which effectively took 6 months to pay.
I booked 3 more hotels this week, and none have tracked, so the 3 month estimate on payout will for me, once again, be a 6 month-if-I'm-lucky payout.
Not good, but their prices are good and they don't surcharge credit cards.

I've been quite a heavy user of Hotels.com via quidco, however, although I get slightly less cashback, I'm switching to late rooms as hotels.com have the worst customer service I have encountered anywhere. Their call centre is abroad and when you attempt to cancel a booking, you are placed on hold and promised email confirmation, only to have your credit card payment taken, the booking not cancelled and no email correspondence as promised. I have spent over 1 hour in the past week attempting to get the refund sorted and being placed on hold. If I were you, I'd avoid unless Hotels.com seriously review and revise their customer services.

I stay out at least one sometimes as many as 10 nights in a month. Always use Hotels.com through Quidco because the cashback always came really quickly. Once, Id only just stayed in the hotel and I had the payment in my account. I have had no payments for months now and have about £150 outstanding in cashback from nights ages ago. How can they call themselves faster paying and then extend their payout time to 6months when it was 8 weeks before. Im not impressed at all. Is there anything we can actually do about it, I doubt it. Eventually I guess it will be a nice little lump that will miraculously arrive in my account. Heres hoping its before christmas (I write this in May, lol)

This a warning do not use hotels.com I booked my reservation 8 months ago and still not confirmed cash back I have been loyal to this company over the years.
there loyalty programme is rubbish as well as I accumulated 5 nights last year, when I did another 5 nights thinking I am going to get 1 free night they said my previous 5 nights had expired. Do not use

Firstly, the cashback % was great with Hotels.com, as was the actual holiday. Booked a ski hol in August for travel in January and the cashback tracked immediately and the correct amount. After the holiday, it re-tracked for an unknown reason and then stuck there for several weeks. To Quidco's credit, they started chasing this and told me so before I was even able to query it with them. It did take a further 3 months for the payment to be confirmed. Come on Hotels.com, you're way too slow!!

Always excellent service, and now that the speed of their cash back payments has increased dramatically, it is absolutely my favourite site for booking hotels. The fact that there is one free night for every ten booked is also a huge incentive to use this site. UPDATE. After one transaction didn't track and one hasn't paid out after 4 months I have changed my mindI Faster paying is a joke!
Another problem!! What on earth is happening with Quidco and Hotels.com claims!!!! I made another purchase (£171.42) yesterday and now this appears not to have been completed through quidco, though it has been confirmed by hotels.com and I even have a ref. number.
I will continue to use this site, as lastminute.com is even slower for cash back, but I am not as fulsome in my praise as formerly!

Good site and good prices but don't expect to be paid on tracked transactions. The oldest goes back to June 2012, and there has been on response from QuidCo. No point in going to the effort of booking through this site as you won't get cashback.

I think hotels.com is competitively priced a lot of the time and I am sure in the past tracking and confirmation has been faster but on this particular occasion I have waitied 11 months for them to confirm the transactions and will be paid by Quidco when the next payment run is done.
I would be happier if the process was faster but at least the payment is confirmed as on other occasions I have had some that have been declined too.

Booked hotel room via site in November which did not track so had to wait to raise a claim in January. Once raised had to wait till March before it got confirmed and now just got paid at start of April. So took a while but got paid so can't complain but speed could be faster since I paid right away and stayed in hotel months ago. Have used site before and also got paid cashback then.

I made my booking in july 2012 and received my cashback in april 2013, that took sooooooo long, as my purchase wasnt tracked, and took about 3 months to track from the time I made a missing cashback claim, the hotel stay was in august 2012 and for the status to change from claim raised to cnfirmed, it took about 7 months!!! Except the delay, I am happy

I made two bookings with Hotels.com. The first of which was in France and the other was in Stratford Upon Avon. I've received the cashback for the latter stay but not the former, still showing as tracked. Funnily enough it's the larger amount that has not been confirmed or paid. The cashback is normally within 4 weeks of checking out apparently, this seems a little strange as I paid for both stays up front in advance of staying. Anyway I checked out of the French hotel on the 1st March and it is now the 8th April so it's been just over 5 weeks and still no confirmed status...

Well, booked all my holiday hotels with them. They have declined all the cashback pretending I never completed the sales via Quidco which I did. Never had such issues using Quidco for over a year now with all other retailers. Very frustrating. Simply doesn't work. Absolutely useless.

As far as what they do Hotels.com are very good, booked a great hotel deal in central London saving quite a bit on booking direct. The problem is with any expected cashback when using Quidco, firstly the cashback did not track so I had to raise a claim. Booked the hotel room in July 2012 paying up front on a non-refundable deal, used the room in August 2012 but it's now April 2013 and I still have not had my cashback despite raising a claim 9 months ago. Would use Hotels.com again but will try a different cashback site next time.

Good site and easy to use in terms of finding a good hotel at a decent price. Tracking was quick and after I got back from my trip the confirmation and payment came within a few days. Even if you find hotels cheaper elsewhere they have a decent price match system which is useful (read the conditions though).

Always had good service from hotels.com. Usually (if not always) the best rates, and always a good selection of hotels no matter where you're going. The cashback rate fluctuates - I've even seen as high as 15%!. Recommended, cashback from stay a couple of weeks ago is ready, still waiting on a different chain but fully expect to receive soon.

Have used hotels.com a few times on quidco now, have not been paid for any of the referrals through quidco and my purchases date back 7 months now. The actual site Hotels.com can help you find cheap rooms but be careful, whilst travelling in the USA we arrived at a hotel we had booked through hotels.com online only to find they had never heard of us (the booking was never made, even though we had a hotels.com confirmation). I tried writing to Hotels.com and they just said we were lying, really? why would I need to lie? a little suspicious.... Overall not bad but be careful and don't expect your money from Quidco any time soon!

Even though I use this retailer monthly to book hotels for myself and family they show absolutely no interest in making the process easy. They know I have stayed and paid for the hotel because they credit me with points but the cash back is drawn out until the last available moment. If you wish for speedy recovery of cash back, Hotels.com is not the site for you.

I have used hotels.com several times but only for a night or two. The one time I made a larger purchase I was told that it had tracked at £0 but that this was normal and it would resolve itself. Well I have now had my holiday and the claim has now disappearred completely. I feel like they have lulled me in on the small purchases and then let me down as soon as I trust them to make a large purchase. I am really not happy and I can't find contact details to get help.

I use hotels.com lots. It has competitive prices and with an average of 10% cashback and a good loyalty programme is sometimes hard to beat. The length of time waiting on cashback has improved over the last 6 months, however if you need to raise a claim this can be quite lenghty!

I book a lot of hotels via various websites, but hotels.com track and pay cashback fastest and with some of the most generous rates around. I have never had an issue with any of the hotel bookings via hotels.com and also find their own loyalty scheme a great incentive to book.
Pointless, used twice and they failed to track both stays. Still awaiting outcome of claim

I used them on 2 separate occasions in Aug-12. They failed to track both transactions even though I am very careful about following the link, not using other offers etc ...
Submitted claims for both stays and still haven't been paid ... 6 months later !
Not sure why you would advertise in this way. All that happens now is that I purposefully avoid using them and always book hotels through Late Rooms who have tracked and paid my cashback without problem and without delay. Prices tend to be the same across most of these sites anyway

Having booked and travelled with these last July, I'm still waiting for my cashback payment 9 months later. We had issues with the booking being wrong in the first place and were left to sort that ourselves at the hotel. Then the cashback amount was incorrect as the booking was incorrect and eventually they admit they have got it wrong. But that doesn't encourage them to confirm the cashback, so I'm still waiting 9 months later.

I generally research local hotels first and then use hotels.com via quidco unless there is a price difference that negates the use of quidco. Booking a hotel via hotels.com is always easy.

I had my cashback tracked in Oct 2011, then about a year later it was randomly declined. I put in a claim & it was finally paid in Feb 2013, 10 months after I returned from my holiday!

I made a purchase from Hotels.com through Topcashback in Dec 2012. I stayed in mid Jan 2013 and I am still waiting for my cash-back. I then made a booking (Hotels.com) in Feb through QUIDCo and stayed end Feb 2013. I have this cash-back. So there you go It is official Quidco is quicker at paying their cashback.

Great site, although cashback is only paid after you complete your stay (as other hotel sites).
When things go wrong with an hotel partner, I've always been able to call hotels.com and they have always been helpful to found a solution.

I have used hotels.com for a number of years until they recently started to miss some transactions and decline some others. Still an interesting retailer in my opinion, but I'd recommend you look for alternative retailers if you want your cashback to be paid!

Hotels.com are efficient and they pay quickly. Unlike some other hotel retailers, I've never had to raise a claim. Also, free welcome rewards nights aren't always awarded if you use one of their discount codes, but you can get 10% cashback through quidco and the free nights.

I booked the hotel in April 2012, I stayed at the hotel in August 2012. This retailer was classed as a faster payer, but despite numerous emails I did not receive cash back until end of February 2013. I could have booked the same hotel through a different company for about the same cost, but as I was new to Quidco thought I would use this. Based on my experience I wouldn't recommend using Hotels.com for cashback it turned out to just waste my time and effort to chase cashback. I queried with Quidco why this retailer was showing as a faster paying retailer, but they declined to answer my question.

I have tried several online booking agents with quidco,been using Hotels.com since August 2012 due to the simple ease and speed of payment. Only time my cashback has been denied is when I cancelled, otherwise it has been quick and simple. I try to use Hotels.com rather than others unless their cashback rate is poor, I usually wait for 10 or 12 % as this is reasonable!

On the plus side, payments are really quick now.
On the downside, my latest booking attempt popped up a window for a hotel which was £154 via Quidco, or £126 if booking direct on Hotels.com. I haven't seen that before.
That's not how cashback is meant to work!

I'm still waiting for Hotels.com to pay my cashback and it's been over 6 months now. They even tried to decline it after the first month for no good reason as it was a perfectly valid booking. Quidco raised a claim. I will be putting my business elsewhere in future.

Hotels.com offers a great cahsback rate (although similar rates are available from others).
My 3 purchases have never tracked, I raised a claim and the retailer has a standstill period.
Its quite alot of hassle and quite poor, I would use another retailer even if you got 1-2% less cashback its worth it more than waiting months to even see if my purchase was tracked.
My advice - don't use this retailer.

I really do wish Quidco examines how these hotel websites track cashbacks. I seem to be spending a lot of time making lost cashback claims and Hotels.com is a prime offender. Hotels.com usually has good hotel deals, you are not allowed to use any vouchers for cashback but even then something goes wrong and you have to manually raise a claim. Not good.

I've used them several time without issue and now every cashback is a problem. I am awaiting payment from hotels in August, November and December! It took nearly three weeks for January to track, I had a claim from a £700 hotel bill declined and it just goes on!!! Since they've become a faster payer they've got slower!!! I wouldn't be so bad but I'm not talking about pennies, it's nearly £200!! Going to use someone else from now on!

Booked few hotels last year, all were declined. So give it again this year, same result.
Booked on Lastminutes.com, it was tracked within few hours. The price for the same hotel was a bit more expensive (10p or something) compare to Hotel.com but I got £12 cashback.
Hotel.com has very well designed website, easy to use specially the map features, so now I check hotel on Hotel.com and do the booking on lastminutes.com which has not so user friendly website.

I purchase often on booking.com, laterooms etc - but never on Hotels.com before so at 12% Quidco cashback, I thought I would give it a try. I was very disappointed - where I would normally proceed through click per click on the site when I had scanned the results, I found that every one I had chosen was actually not available when I then tried to purchase? The search results did NOT match my requirements but I only find this out when I tried to book. This doesn't happen on other hotel sites. If its not available to the dates I input, it shouldnt come up on the results. I had the same hotels open on Booking.com in another window - and they went through fine, and because they were better deals in the long run I forefitted my 12% cashback with Quidco.
Hotels.com need to sort their website out if they want to be affiliated with Quidco, as Quidco never disappoints.

I've made some incredible savings by booking at the right time. Add to this the cashback and it makes it excellent value. Get the timing wrong, however, and you;ll pay substantially more. Always do your research and check multiple suppliers to get the best deal.

I've used Quidco with Hotels.com three times over several months and I've had to raise a claim each time. I've even tried different browsers on different PCs to try and figure out what's going wrong.
Having said that the claims raised aren't disputed and they do pay after a while. I think that's a 'well done, eventually' verdict.

Having read about problems with not tracking, tried a few times yesterday and today to book, and every time I went through Quidco link, the Quidco page did not tell me that my visit was recorded, making me think that there is some problem and risky to book.

Spend over £800 on hotels with a promise of 12% cashback - never tracked. Second time this has happened now.
I did raise a claim for the last incident which was resolved months later but only after I chased it up with Quidco.
I am losing faith and would probably stick to expedia from here on.

Have spent thousands on hotels.com over the last 7-8 years, having booked nearly all our hotels through them, but as regards their tracking and paying on Quidco it can be extremely poor. I currently have 6 claims, with 3 in dispute. 2 unpaid from Jan 2012, and tracking at half the published cash back rate, and one from July still not tracking at all despite a dispute raised straightaway. As regards faster paying , no, I don't think so. Seriously considering not going through quidco for Hotels.com and exploring other options for discounts.

If the cashback tracks then you will be paid within 1-2 weeks, but if it doesnt then you will be waiting forever. Just lately the transactions have not been tracking so I may switch to Expedia who offer a similar service and track too.

The actual hotel I stayed in was great and using hotels.com was a great experience. The payment of cashback was not so good. I booked the hotel in July, stayed at the hotel in November. I understand I wouldn't get paid the cashback until after my stay but it took a further 3 months before the cashback was confirmed.

Cashback is generally paid promptly, and when combined with the "free" night for every ten paid and completed this makes hotels.com very competitive... if the cashback is actually paid.
In most cases it is paid fairly promptly after the stay is completed, but I have two stays booked 16 months ago and completed over 10 months ago which didn't track initially and against which I raised a claim. The claims (amounting to just over £100) were raised promtly, have been supported with valid booking details and have never been rejected, but I'm still waiting with no indication as to why it is taking so long and no indication of when and whether it will ever be paid.
***Edit: Cashback has now been paid thanks to a further chase up from Quidco. I still don't know why it took so long but at least it did get paid in the end***

I use (or rather I used to use) Hotels.com a lot and I am a member of their Welcome Rewards loyalty scheme. They are consistantly late in refunding cashback (most recent example involved having to wait for over a year and raise a claim twice) and I regularly have to raise a tracking order on purchases. Not good enough. This company does not deserve it's faster cashback claims.
It used to be competitive when it came to booking hotels but over the last 2 years this has not been the case any longer and it is usually one to avoid nowadays. Out of habit I always check their prices when I'm doing a search (and because I want to book with them because of the loyalty points I would accrue) but 9/10 I am forced to go elsewhere (Trevago usually list the most competitive company and their cashback is usually a lot faster too!!!)
Sorry - I'm not impressed with Hotels.com.

I've made 4 separate bookings through Quidco with Hotels.com, each booking was made on the same computer (mac and Firefox).. so far only one transaction has tracked successfully, with the other 3 I've had to make missed cashback claims, which going by the other reviews I've read can take months to resolve.
So a good rebate rate, but let down by really poor tracking, which makes dealing with Hotels.com a bit of a lottery

I cannot fault Hotels.com. They deliver exactly what they promise. Booking is simple and their website easy to navigate. % cashback fluctuates between 5-15%. Competitive prices and on top of the Quidco cashback is a win/win situation. I've never had cashback paid quite so quick. Well done Hotels.com!

Booked via quidco as it worked out the cheapest holiday option. However, if I had been told up front it would take 18 months to get the cash back, I would not have used hotels.com or quidco. There were better holiday deals else where.

We've never had any problems with bookings made via hotels.com. They're often cheaper than going to the hotel directly. And with Quidco and free night stays once you've stayed more than 10 nights with them - what's not to like?!

after i booked the hotel room i found that the last check in time is 8pm, which is not possiable for me to arrive before 8:00 from the airport.
try to call the hotel, it takes ages to answer the phone . they are not helpful at all, they could not do anything even leave the key in front of the reception, hotel.com staff tried their best to negotiate with hotels to get me refund.
in the end , still have not get refund. a little bit shame.

If you are on the Fivestar Customer Service programme the service you receive is second to none! You get a number of benefits but the best one is that they will help you sort out any cancellations even when the hotel in theory does not allow cancellations!

I've made bookings on hotels.com 4 times now, via QuidCo.
None of the purchases tracked and I therefore had to raise a claim for each one.
None of them have yet been paid, despite the oldest of these having been made in July 2012 (it's now January 2013).

Would recommend as prices are the same as going direct but you get cashback on top as well, they also offer a 'book 10 nights get 1 night free' promotion once you have registered, will be using them for all my hotel bookings from now on!

Having used Hotels.com about 10 times in the last 18 months I must state I have nothing but praise for them. Payments having been received quickly after my stay; they offer price matching up to the cancellation window & given the ease in which you can do this I think it reasonable that cash-back occurs once you have stayed.
On one of my bookings I made the stupid mistake of booking a hotel in Vienna (to fall in the middle weekend of a fortnight stay in Salzburg) the weekend I was due to fly home (from Munich)! As I went for a non-cancellable option, I initially (as expected) got the "tough luck" response. I realised my mistake and having thought I had lost my money decide to book a different hotel for the correct weekend. When confirming the re-booking, this prompted a conversation with Hotels.com who negotiated with the hotel to cancel my stay and waive any booking fees. Understandably, I now always use hotels.com (via Quidco of course) when booking hotels.

What I don't understand is why they don't pay the cashback quicker as they take the money straight away. They wait until you've completed our stay and in my experience sometimes I book my hols up to a year in advance so waiting ages. I understand if you weren't payn the balance until the actual stay but you don't.

Although the speed of tracking is good, payment sometimes takes a while, especially for a "faster paying" retailer. The unfortunate thing about this retailer is that it often offers 10% discount codes, but if you use them, your stay will not be counted towards its loyalty program or any cashback. Competitors such as lastminute.com don't have this issue which is why I have used them with a discount code. The pricing does usually match other sites and they do have a price promise. However if you try to claim on it they will make it as difficult as possible.

Hotels.com is well priced and offers additional benefits such as free reward nights after 10 stays. speed of tracking is excellent - speed of cashback average to slow and I have had some issues in the past ion securing legitimate cashback that Quidco has successfully chased up for me

In addition to the Quidco discounts, hotels.com offers its own reward scheme, with one free night for every ten booked. So its overall value is good. However, even though it advertises itself as "faster tracking", its payment through Quidco is very slow. In late December, I have still not received my cashback for bookings made and paid for in June and July.

Hotels.com is simple to use, and when compared with other hotel sites it beats them hands down. I was fed up of finding a great hotel at a great price and then discovering that it was payment up front with no cancellation policy.
I started looking at hotels.com as the pricing was only a couple of pounds different from the other sites and discovered that a lot of the hotels I booked with hotels.com had a cancellation policy where you could cancel 2 days before the booking. This is invaluable to us as we never know what is going to happen in business and whether an emergency/weather on the farm will prevent us travelling.
Hotels.com is now the first site I go to when booking a hotel. If I'm satisfied with the price, I don't look anywhere else.

I needed an overnight stay for the works Xmas do, close to the ICC in Birmingham. Hotels.com gave me the best price for a hotel close to where I wanted to be. I liked the email a couple of days before hand with all the details and noting that I'd already paid so I knew I had it to hand should there have been any issues, which of course there weren't.

I really like using HOTELS.COM. The website is very easy to use and the price breakdown are very comparable to other websites. I work away from home a lot, so they fact I get free nights for booking with them is great for when I am actually on holiday. The cash back rate is very competitive as well.

I have used hotels.com for all my hotel rooms worldwide and as yet not been disappointed. So far, every time I've arrived at my hotel the reservation is in the hotel system, no awkward moments which is just what you want when you get off a flight at midnight. I've found that Hotels.com always seem to be the cheapest. The fact they are part of Expedia reassures me. The 12% cash back is fantastic and the fact you effectively get another 10% as they give you a night free for each ten is the icing on the cake. Out of preference I will look to use them for my bookings.

I like(d) hotels.com I use(d) them a lot. But I don't like waiting for cashback and I am always waiting for it with this company. Currently a booking in February and following the one month wait, a claim in March is still outstanding and yet to be acknowledged let alone pending or tracked or anything.
Quidco updated only after I chased after 4 months to say don't worry we are on the case and they are taking 6 months to pay. Well I have news for you it is now 8 months (yes EIGHT MONTHS!) and nothing, they owe me over a hundred pounds. Not to mention the latest booking in August, that hasn't been paid yet either.
5 years with Quidco and a priority client of hotels.com (hotels.com own words) and I'm having trouble getting my money, hate to think how a non priority new Quidco member fares..
Needless to say I am not very happy and hope to post a follow up confirming receipt of payment and that I am happy to recommend them in the next 48hrs. We'll see.
Meanwhile 100% guaranteed payment in 180 days is misleading and incorrect I'm waiting 240+ days and counting. 11/11/2012
UPDATE1
I am now due to be paid on the 29th. I will continue to use Hotels.com but I think the tracking and payment system needs to be reviewed and improved as it is clearly taking longer than declared on the site for payment and I appear to be not the only one incurring these delays despite the recently introduced faster payment facility.
I'd like to thank all concerned at Quidco for finally resolving the issue, it's only disappointing that it required chasing from my side to do so.
UPDATE 2
Finally Paid on the 22 November a week earlier than informed but precisely 9 months from the original booking.

I am so happy with Hotels.com. It offers generous cashback rates, super quick payment of cashback - usually 2 to 3 days following the completion of a stay - and I have never had any problems with the bookings. The rates for the rooms offered are competitive and when I have needed to cancel bookings (that I had paid the free cancellation rate for) I didn't have any problems and got immediate refunds. I would definitely recommend Hotels.com

I've only had one problem and that was when I booked two hotels, only the second one tracked. I've cancelled and re-booked so hopefully this will now be recognised. Everything else with hotels.com is excellent. The speed of the money being paid back is unbelievable. Highly recommended.

The cash back is average but that you can earn free nights makes it's seem like a good offer (never tried it yet though).
However I have used them several times and it has NEVER tracked so a seperate claim has always been raised.
Perhaps it's much faster if it had tracked but in my experience the claims process is very slow, even after the stay has been completed. For some reason, I've only ever had an issue with Hotels.com purchases tracking.
Currently says Tracking reliability is 98.6% tracked but it's failed 4 times in a row, guess I should be thankful they don't make condoms!!

Have chased Quidco but get the same 'standard message' saying they are on the case. The hotels were great and the prices good but the cashback time scale is far too long.

Really good site to use offering hotels are great prices. You can also collect hotel rewards with Hotels.com to get a free stay. Quidco purchase was seemless and cashback paid really quickly.

Never more than 2/3 weeks for confirmed payment. Hotels have been good value and good quality. Have booked 3/4 times now and payment is quick.

Good service, no problems with any of the hotel bookings. Would definitely not quote them as faster paying though. I have three transactions from May which have been tracked but not yet confirmed...

It is easy to compare hotel prices across the various websites and Hotels.com come out favourably on many occasions. I have used them for a number of bookings and have never had any issues with the hotels that I have stayed in.
There website is easy to use and the confirmation emails contain all the information that you need for your trip.
As far as Quidco cashback is concerned I did have to chase up my payment. This was dealt with promptly by the Quidco support team and I received my cashback as promised.

I always look at Hotels.com first when booking an hotel booking as their prices are usually there or thereabouts when compared to competitors and, in addition, they offer 1 free night for every 10 nights books and on top of that there is Quidco cashback - what a combination!

Fast tracking & fast payments. Their loyalty scheme is also worth joining. I have occasionally had visits that didn't track (I use Hotels.com a lot), but claims raised have been dealt with satisfactorily.

Hotel.com are consistently excellent with regards to cashback on Quidco.
Also, if you travel a reasonable amount, then signing up to Welcome Rewards to effectively double dip with the cashback is a great way to earn more. (You get 10% of the room rate towards a free night for every 10 nights you book)

despite being advertised as a quick paying merchant, recent payments have taken a while to appear as payable. Shame because the rate is very good and the Hotels.com welcome rewards programme is equally good

We often have weekends away and always try to book via Hotels.com for their 10th night free offer. I always try to remember to book via Quidco too, but would warn you to check that your booking is picked up/tracked. This may be due to not actually booking the first time you do a search? I have had to open a couple of cases to chase over the past year, but saying that they have both been sorted and cash back eventually received. Would recommend

Love Hotels.com, they offer great cashback, always pay quickly and even offer a price promise so if you can find it cheaper they will refund the difference.
They also offer welcome rewards so when you have booked 10 nights through them you get a night free.

Decent site, usable if a little clunky when making refinements.
Deals are generally good, though the add-ons that the site charges can be frustrating. Always worth looking at the direct-purchase options from the hotels once a good deal has been found. Usually, coming through the quidco referral site makes it cheaper to book from hotels.com, but not every single time....
Overall, a site I refer back to regularly, which is a vindication in itself, though it's only one of many in the market, and it's worth shopping around, even if you end up back on the site you started from.

Made 3 purchases. 1st one tracked without any problems and paid within 3 weeks. However 2 purchases since have failed to track and have had to raise claims. But the website has stopped processing claims for now and say they will let me know when they reopen the queries. Pretty frustrating if I have to raise claims for every purchase from Hotels.com

I booked for a hotel stay in Hong Kong for March 2012, anything that could go wrong with this cashback claim did go wrong. I booked on the last evening of an increased cashback rate offer, it tracked at the lower rate. After completing my stay I waited patiently for my cashback to update, it didnt so I contacted quidco support on this and several other occassions. Each time I was told that they were sorry I was having to wait, but to keep waiting. The Hotel.com listing says 100% of claims are paid within 180 days , not an accurate statistic as I waited 180 days plus 1 month before chasing it again. Finally been paid today 213 days after the completion of my stay. Cannot believe they now have the faster paying icon on their listing! The odd thing is that I never have this trouble with expedia who are the same company, will stick with them in future.

Certainly not a fast payer, despite claims to the contrary!

Tracked immediately, but 8 months after completing stay still no confirmation or payment of cashback - very poor customer service, would not recommend for cashback. great for hotels and prices, but really poor for cashback - such a shame

I booked a room for 11 nights in January 2012, I still haven't received my cashback even after raising a claim back in July I'm still waiting... Over 10 months to wait for £68 is a bit much I'd say...

Hotels.com offered the cheapest price for the Best Western hotel I was looking at, even better than the hotel 'Special Deal' booked direct. Quidco 10% tracked without a hitch and was confirmed less than 3 days after I returned. A cracking good deal all round.

The website is easy to use and their deals are competitive. However as a regular customer I'm on my third cash back claim which is putting me off using them again. Also promoting themselves as faster paying is misleading - I'm still waiting for cash back from July (this example is not subject to a claim, so no reason for such a long wait!).
