Nothing but praise for my experience of O2 Recycle. I set everything up on the website on Sunday, packing arrived on Tuesday. Posted Tuesday and they confirmed receipt of the phone and payment sent on Wednesday. Received cheque for full amount on Saturday and the cashback confirmed two days later. Brilliant!

Recycled two mobiles; asked for packaging to be sent to me, this never arrived, so I used my own. I had shown the phones in the local O2 shop who commented how excellent the condition was; didn't recycle them there as the shop couldn't do amazon vouchers. After sending them in, I was offered the cashback amount for phones with cosmetic damage; no response to my several emails. Also the amount shown for one of the phones at the time was higher than when I raised the order; they did not adjust the amount. I would have been much better off recycling in the shop! Also cashback tracked at £3 when it should have been £6 (£3 for each phone). Waiting to hear back for that claim...

Tracked & paid quickly through Quidco. O2 service was very fast and professional, from sending the phone off to receiving the money took a week which was impressive, they even gave me more than they quoted. The price they paid for my phone was one of the top 5 and they are a large company rather than one of the companies i had never heard of.

Quick payment. Good experience would recommend as a quidco retailer. Please read the up to date reviews of the O2 recycle service before choosing to recycle. At the time I used it there was a spate of 10% reductions for handset damage. My phone was one of these despite sending a perfect condition handset.

As a company they're very slow, have very poor communications etc. I posted them a six month old iPhone 4S, they reduced the price for it being damaged (when I eventually heard back from them as I didn't receive an e-mail about the price) I spent a long time trying to get through to them as I constantly got a voicemail then they instantly said that I could have the amount they promised. Once I got a date the payment was made on time which was the only positive thing about the process. I've just used Envirofone for a different phone, there was literally pence difference and they sorted the whole process in a day and paid what they said they would first time.

I sent in my phone within a few days of them sending the pack through. It took them 5 weeks to tell me they had received my phone, I had tried emails without reply, phone calls where nobody answers. They then tried to offer me a lower price because it was after the 2 weeks until I pointed out the delay was on their side. They replied to that email and paid me the difference between the original offer and the first offer, but I haven't received the original payment yet. Still waiting. I sent the phone in 6 weeks ago. On the plus side, quidco tracked. Without doubt I would suggest people use a different mobile recycling company, I certainly will be.

Sent a virtually brand new phone to them, then once they have your phone offer lower price giving no reason other than read t&cs. Just be careful. I have used fonebank and fonehub and always had full amount.

offered a better price for the phone that other companies, emailed me saying there was damage so a lower price was offered but this was a fair point and only knocked £4 off. cashback was quick and painless, perfect really.
