I went with Policy Expert as they offered close to the cheapest insurance policy (probably by £10 or so). Everything tracked fine then there was a massive wait. I submitted a support ticket continued to wait. The claim was rejected despite fulfilling the requirements set out. I know cash back is not guaranteed but to offer a 'high value' amount only for it to be rejected many months down the line is rather poor.

Overall the offer is good ....it was going to be very good, when and if I received the cash back. After 6 months they declined the cashback in such a way I was unable to challenge it (Commission claimed elsewhere!! don't know who got my money ... know I didn't). Extremely poor. Clear your cookies and temporary files just before you action your claim ... it may help to ensure you get paid.

Did a home insurance comparison through Quidco, never heard of this provider before but competitive with their pricing and after registering an online quote I called them before going ahead to verify all the policy details were correct as they were listed online. I spoke to the persistent customer services team a couple of times, knowing that with the promised cashback they would be cheaper, but not convinced they would pay out. I had to ask them to ensure my cashback was registered, just don't take any nonsense if they tell you that by calling them you haven't taken the Quidco offer. They agreed to confirm my cashback if I called back after completing my quote online which I did, and after 90 days they accept and verify the tracked cashback. I got paid in just over 5 months, but £70 was a good amount and certainly helped to reduce my premium. I would recommend them but just make sure they accept your cashback before you commit to anything.

I've today got confirmation that my £70.50 will be paid in the next run. I originally got a quote with PE in January but never took up the offer online, I received a couple of calls from them asking why not, I still had to cancel my previous insurance renewal which they were fine with. The guy on the phone called back a couple of days later and confirmed the new policy and that the cash back would still be valid even over the phone. I then read quite a few horror stories on here saying how they just got a cancellation and was pretty much expecting the same, so it was a pleasent surprise today to receive the email confirming the payment.

Nearly 9 MONTHS to come back with a decline, what a JOKE this company is. *** UPDATE *** UPDATE*** After contacting Policy Expert via a social network site, I am very pleased to say that they acted very quickly on my complaint & payment has now been confirmed. Commented on the Friday & resolved by Monday afternoon. WELL DONE Policy Expert.

Policy Expert are having a laugh. Took out a home policy through them on 27th Sep 2012 and still no cash paid! Why say they are Faster Paying when they are clearly not. Only used them because of the cashback offered, never again. Come on Quidco, sort 'em out.

Avoid policy expert at all costs. Still waiting for cash back to be paid. Now been advised it takes six months from when a claim is raised. The policy is more expensive than most other comparison providers. Service is rubbish. Disguisting service from Policy Expert and Quidco!!!

Policy expert came out second cheapest through Moneysupermarket by about £15 so with the £65 cashback it made them considerably cheaper, especially on a £180 per year policy. Anyway, cashback tracked after a few days and when I got a courtesy call I ask about the cashback and they said it was showing on their system and would take around 60 days. Well I'm very pleased to say it has been confirmed and on its way to my bank account. On top of that they also did the usual and rang me up to try and sell me a few "extras". I decided to take out the home emergency cover at £50 per year. This covered central heating, electrics etc. Zero excess and no effect on no claims bonus. I gave them a few scenarios where my boiler had failed in the past and although I fixed it myself I still had to pay for parts, she assured me these repairs would have been fully taken care of. A month later and the boiler stopped supplying hot water, I diagnosed the fault to be a faulty diverter valve. I rang up the company who I was given cover with and basically the boiler was fixed in a few days (needed to wait for special order parts). If I had fixed it myself it would have cost easily over £100 so my home emergency cover has already paid for itself and I can claim as many times as needed. Result I know there are conflicting reviews about this company and their cashback offers but I can honestly say they have been excellent for me.

Took a policy out over a year ago. Took nearly this long for the cashback to track at the correct amount. Nothing paid after around 8 months, raised a claim. This process then took another few months before it was declined because 'the cashback had been paid out elsewhere'. How on earth is that my fault, and why should I loose out. Both Quidco and Policy Expert showing very poor service. AVOID!

Purchased a policy for my mum last year, didn't get the cashback. Raised a claim, still nothing. Quidco sent me a notification that an investigation was in progress on a number of failed cashback claims. More than a year passed now, still nothing. Went to another insurance company this year. They lost my custom this year, their loss!!

Worst experience I have ever had on Quidco! Cash didn't track so had to raise a claim which was subsequently denied! I contacted Policy Expert who informed me that many customers had the same troube, so they had decided to refund me directly but ONLY when I renewed for another year. That's called blackmail. Never again.

DO NOT BUY A POLICY IF THE CASEBACK IS THE ONLY REASON!!!!!!!!!!I brought a policy through them via quidco, policy expert have declined the cashback and all they say is that it was paid via another sorce, well I have never received the money!!! The cashback was the only reason I brought the policy and unfortunatley even after 12 months of me and quidco chasing them - I have now been told that the case is closed (quidco told me I was not the only one to be declined).

I've never believed those "we can save you £000's on your home insurance" however I thought I'd give policy expert a chance - to be honest I didnt believe the price to start off with as I live next to a river (Never flooded in memorable history) so didnt think of it - they phone back the next day and they confirmed the river was no issue, so I did something I've never done, ditched Budget Insurance and Switched to one of theirs on the panel (VFM insurance). So far, so good - I note the uncertainty of the cashback claim but to be honest I feel I've saved more than enough already (nearly £250!!!) Good fun had by all. *(I am not affiliated with the company at all!)

1) They got the cashback calculation wrong. 2) They didn't track the cashback until month 6 after the transaction. 3) It's now month 11 and they have finally confirmed the cashback amount. The choice of using Policy Expert for my motor insurance was solely based on the premium minus the cashback rate, with a year nearly passing it hardly seems worthwhile using their offer.

Easy enough site to use. Seemed a good price (allowing for cashback) but as they declined cashback perhaps not so good! Beware. They have been quick to contact me for renewal this year but perhaps I will shop around.

I bought home insurance from this company in Jan 2012 and they have not honoured the cashback terms offered. A claim raised through Quidco has had no result. Proceed with caution!!!

After searching numerous insurers for home insurance I went for Policy Expert as based on their quote and cashback it was the best deal. That's where the plus side ended. Firstly the cashback never tracked, then after making a prompt claim it's taken an appalling 10 months for the cashback to be declined and sadly I can't dispute this. Who knows how many more people they've done this too and who really had my cashback if anyone ever really did. Very very poor indeed. Avoid at all costs. I've had no dealings directly with Policy Expert so can't comment on how good their service is.

Dont use these people. They have refused my £50 cashback twice despite Quidcos best efforts. My renewal is almost due and needless to say I will be going elsewhere.

Took out insurance with POLICY EXPERT in March. Cash back tracking was confirmed on 8th May Although not the cheapest they seemed to have a good offer.The product was comparable to others I looked at and all that part of the transaction is fine. They have recently been listed as "Faster Paying" but I assume that is not retrospective as we are now some nearly 7 months after the event and no payment has been made which is very disappointing

The cost of my Home Insurance for both buildings and contents was very well priced & came with a sizable cash back offering. I received an email immediately after my purchase confirming the tracked cash back value. The cash back is overdue because I didn't fill out the bank details on Quidco in the BACS section. An alert to this would have helped so a slight error there! I took policy expert up on a two year fix paid by DD so I know what I'm paying until 2014. All in, a very simple process and one that I will use again.

I have been searching for quotes for my renewal of contents insurance and have used quidco's own search but thought I would try Policy Expert as they offered a very high level of cashback. Unfortunately although their site was very easy to use they were not able to provide me with a single quote! I have used several search engines and all of which have been able to provide me quotes from the most well known insurers so the fact Policy Expert were not able to offer a single one is baffling - additionally because I tried to get a quote, in my quidco summary it shows the potential cashback I will receive from Policy expert even though they could provide me nothing so I am never going to be able to purchase from them or receive the cashback offered. So although the experience of entering details was good the service was not.
