I purchased Sainsbury's pet June 2012 and I still haven't received the £80 cashback I was promised. The only reason I went with Sainsbury's was because of the cashback, I had been waiting 9 months for it then it was declined, im now going through the cashback claim process, which is taking some time. This is not what I expected and I will not be renewing with sainsbury's

I am disappointed with the speed of payment of the cashback.
However i have unfortunately had to use the insurance. The service was excellent and claim settled the same day it was received by Sainsburys and cheque posted the next day. I havent claimed on pet insurance before, so cant compare it to anything except car insurance companies.
With this in mind i wish i could insure my car with the same team of people!

I've fortunately not had to use the policy, and the cover seems good, but I probably would have chosen a different company as its quite expensive without the cashback (worth £65)...which doesn't seem to be turning up any time soon.

The product itself is pretty much of a muchness compared to others on the market but don't expect to get your cashback quickly, I'm now well past the 7 months (were alledgedly 100% are paid). I don't know who's to blame Sainsbury or Quidco but emails to quidco seem only to generate a pre scripted response.

Policy bought early September. Still waiting at end of April for any payment. Dates keep being put back without explanation. Would not recommend if cash back is important to you. (and after all, that is why we use cashback sites)! i have just got a third pet and insured elsewhere because of their poor attitude to paying customers. Price is no better than competitors without cash back consideration, in fact more expensive than my most recent policy for the same type of pet.

Awful, you buy the product then cashback gets 'declined' - Mine was August, I have raised a claim in March and still no news. Quidco should be much more on the ball to such obvious bad service from Sainsburys, awful.

After over 6 mths Tracked, payment was declined having taken out the product on Direct debit terms and paid monthly premiums
Well its 9 months now and still not had any cashback, will not be renewing with sainsbury insurance at all

A disgrace, took the policy out in mid September, now mid April and still nothing. Having now reviewed other comments on Sainsburys Cashback I do not expect they are going to honour it !!! Will not buy anything from them again even if it is a case of they are offering a better cashback than another competitor.

Seems a lot of people are in the same boat, I purchased mine June 2012 and got the claim declined after 6 months too, raised a claim and it's now March 2013 and I'm still waiting. Quidco need to get a handle on this...

£65 advertised Cashback for Pet Insurance still not paid after 9 months!!! Sainsburys have declined claim twice for no reason. Will not be renewing my pet insurance with Sainsburys - it would seem that cashback only advertised to get new business and then it is not paid. Very disappointed.

I took out pet insurance with Sainsburys in June 2012, the insurance itself is very good and I do not have any problems or issues with this side of things.
That said when I took the insurance out the cashback offer was '£65.00 cashback'. In January 2013 I had my cashback claim 'declined' out of the blue AND after 7 months!! No explanation given, no reason why that I can see as I have paid for this product.
I raised a claim through the site days after it was declined and we are now in March 2013 and I still do not have any cashback and indeed have not even had it confirmed yet.
Very poor and very disappointed with this, the only reason I haven't cancelled the policy is because it offers a good level of insurance for my pet.
...Sainsburys please don't offer these incentives if you aren't going to honour them.

They weren't the cheapest pet insurance but with the cashback it made them a good deal - 6 months in I had the claim declined, so appealed & a month after I put the claim in Quidco sent it to Sainsburys, so 9 months into policy & I still haven't had any cashback! Won't be using again, can get better insurance elsewhere!

Sainsburys have provided some great cover and are quick to pay out when making a claim. The cashback tracked immediately and has been paid on time. Very impressed, I would highly recommend.

Have just waited for 6 months and 2 days to be declined payment. There is no valid reason for this, having raised a claim i will now surely have to wait for the duration of the entire policy to be lucky enough to get what was promised. From reading other reviews this seems to be the rule for Sainsburys Pet Insurance.....avoid them as a retailer if you want the cashback to which you are entitled!

I took out a policy in Feb and was paid 6 months plus a week later. No problems. Good level of cover for my dog. With such a high value cashback they are going to want to make sure the policy wont be cancelled as soon as payment is made. Be aware that many of the insurance policies state in the small print that if you get a quote through a comparison website then buy through quidco the cashback will be declined.

If only I'd read the reviews before taking out this policy...... Like many others on here I only took the policy out with Sainsburys because of the cashback offer. It's coming up to 6 months since I took the policy out and after reading the reviews I'm starting to realise the cashback will either get declined or take another 6 months to come through. NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!

Purchased as they offered a set fee excess (no longer te policy it's excess + 5% of total cost) and with cashback were cheaper than petplan and their competitors). Filled in policy number and waited the 6 months period as documented and like all other bad reviews, it appears they have just mass declined cashback. Just taken a second policy out with them, still within 28 days cancellation so will be calling them First thing to cancel.
1* tracking speed, and that's only as I can't give it 0!

I compared lots of pet insurance prices as I have to insure 3 cats, 2 of whom have policies in July. After weighing up the pros and cons of various policies and taking into account the generous cashback offered, I took out two policies with Sainsburys. However, only 1 tracked. I raised a claim for the other one and 6 months later, the one that tracked has been declined and the one that didn't track is being worked on by the claims team! We're not talking a couple of quid either, the amount is £80 per policy, so I'm waitng for £160 back. Not a happy bunny.

Only really chose this pet insurance for the cashback, as it was better then everywhere else, but I've waited 6 months to be told my cashback has been declined! I've raised a claim but if it still declines me I'm cancelling! If they can't get something as simple like cashback correct then I'm dreading what any service from them is going to be like!

It's taken !!! 7 !!! months to get this much promised cash back - which was a key influencer in getting this policy - and it's taken a lot of chasing to finally get this confirmed. Hurray! I would almost throw a party if it wasn't for the fact I am still waiting for my Sainsbury's Home Insurance cash back - also over 7 months waiting for that one and still counting.... will I go for them again next time round? Probably not....

Six and a half months in from taking out the insurance, still no cashback. It's getting a bit ridiculous now especially as they're showing as paying 100% of cashback within 90 to 180 days.

Sainsburys are one of the better insurers for pet insurance. I had no problems when I claimed over a period of months when my daft dog broke his toe and it refused to heal. But.....cashback doesn't seem to track. Had to raise a claim on both policies that I bought last year, and the ones I bought yesterday haven't tracked yet either.
So cashback amount is good, policy is good, but you may well need to chase to make sure you get your money. This is not rocket science Sainsburys - sort it out!

Over 6 months and still waiting for the cashback payment. Had to raise a claim as it didn't even track. The cashback amount is good but the service re cashback is very poor. Quidco are on the case so hope to receive the money soon.

I waited just over 6 months before having to get in contact with quidco about my payment, they did however resolve the issue very quickly and I have now received the payment. As for the pet insurance it was simple to set up and haven't had any problems with them.

OK so the payment speed wasn't fast (but which insurance provider does pay fast?) and initially the they didn't track even though I followed the all usual precautions. So I submitted an untracked transaction query, this was a little more challenging as I'd bought two back to back policies for two new kittens but I did have the policy numbers. Anyhow all was verified and paid out so overall I'm quite pleased.

Pet Insurance itself seems good, but I only chose this as it was a good cashback offer. It has taken so long to get the cashback (over six months & still no sign of it) that I just wish I'd gone elsewhere. It seems ridiculous to have to wait for so long; & Quidco themselves seem to find this entirely acceptable; they don't do anything to speed up the process. Next time I'll just use a different site, as I really object to being misled.
