I had been with Virgin Media for 18 months and yet another price increase made me look what other telephone and broadband services there were. I found by moving to Sky I would get virtually the same services for £10 a month less. Also on top I would get the first six months half price saving even more. I then found out that I would get £100 cashback. So I signed up on-line and then there was a problem as Virgin would not let me take my telephone number with me. So It had to be all re done over the phone. I was concerned that as it was done on the phone the second time and not on-line I would lose my cashback. However a couple of months after starting the service I received £50 and I have just received my second £50 cashback payment which came payable after £50.
I have had no problems other than the slight problem signing up. The service seems just as fast as Virgin which was suppose to be a faster service. The telephone service also seems okay. I don;t have the TV and never get pressured into getting it or contacted about getting it. Overall with the cashback and first six months half price after 12 months of service I am on course to be about £300 better off.
