I now use Virgin Trains exclusively to buy all my train travel tickets. There are no hidden extra fees and the journey does not have to be on a Virgin Train. Virtually all my journeys are on the London to Brighton line and I can collect my tickets from the machine at the departure station for no additional cost.
Additionally, the cashback tracks quickly and is paid in a very short time (I'm still waiting for payment from Southern from February, but have been paid from Virgin Trains for journeys as recent as a week ago.
Definitely one of my best finds on Quidco, as I use trains so much.

I use virgin trains cashback now for all my ticket buys (about £100/month) since the 6% offer with southern railways was removed. All the journeys are never on virgin rail routes.
Great service, free first clas delivery and 2% (sometimes even 4%) cashback. Some providers do offer slightly higher rates but they do charge a service charge which wipes out most of my cashback!
Cashback tracks quickly and pays in 3-6 weeks, no problems so far.

I've been using Quidco for a year to book my hotel and train travel. Virgin is by far and away the best retailer experience, due to the prompt tracking and cashback payments.
I've never had any issues and must have notched up a good 30+ bookings over the past 12 months

Nice and easy purchase, tracking and payment from Virgin Trains. It's also really helpful that Virgin Trains pay cashback for journeys which are not made on Virgin's trains or from their stations (unlike other train operators' cashback offers).

Virgin don't charge a booking fee or credit card fee, so they are above average and the 2% cashback is as good you'll get now the Southern 6% deal has gone. Only a pity they charge for delivery of tickets - ScotRail don't.

In 18-months commuting from London to Manchester on a weekly basis I have nothing but praise for Virgin Rail. In these 18 months I have NEVER had a cancelled train and NEVER had a train not leave on time. I can count on one hand the number of times my trains has arrived more than a few minutes late.
Impeccable service every time.
BUT, nothing can be perfect though and my only criticism is the constant LOUD ANNOUNCEMENTS blasted out of speakers inches from your ear. - Whatever the reason, be it Health and Safety, Disability Act, Equal Opportunities IT IS JUST TOO LOUD - We as commuters just want to chill and relaaaxxx, we don't want to know when the shop is open or that they sell coffee - and we don't need reminding to take all our belongings - Just leave us to to manage our own journey, in peace on your (almost) perfect service

I love the Virgin brand and love that you can get your Virgin Trains tickets through Quidco. It's not a huge amount back, but it tracks correctly and quickly every time. A nice bonus for all those train journeys :)

Without any tricks from the retailer cashback is always paid. I like the fast cash back promise too. I gave three stars to the 'delivery speed and packaging' because I believe all tickets should be printable at home not just certain categories. Would make my life easier....Virgin if you're reading this please consider, Many thanks!

Our journey from Glasgow to London got off to a poor start as we were given little details as to late departure time. I appreciate delays happen but travellers would appreciate information especially when delay was just short of an hour. This would have had a detrimental effect on travellers with timed connections. When the train did arrive, boarding was exceptionally speedy as opposed to relaxed but staff were very helpful in putting luggage on to allow departure. The space for luggage was limited but again, staff were most supportive. We were given the seats we requested and were grateful to face the direction of travel and have a table. The heat within the carriage was extremely high and we welcomed the continuous short walk to the buffet car to replenish our water supply.

I found Virgin Trains, cheap at times or fairly reasonable for train tickets. They have fast, direct trains. My travel was mainly from London to Birmingham, and found it very quick. Trains leave on time and arrive on time, during my time of travelling back and forth, I was never delayed.

Booked tickets to London 2 months in advance costing £25 return from Warrington with reserved seating. Absolute bargain! Tickets arrived a couple of days later by which time the purchase had been tracked with payment following 4 weeks later. Wouldn't hesitate to use Virgin trains again. Lets hope Mr Branson keeps hold of the west coast mainline franchise

I order virgin train tickets on a regular basis and every time without fail they have arrived the next working day (with £1 first class postage added to the price of the train ticket). I would highly recommend buying them directly from the virgin train website for an easy speedy experience!

The service from Birmingham down to Euston is fast and comfortable (I recently travelled on the slow London Midland train to save a few quid - seats were more like bus seats and there was nowhere to store my case), and cheap if you book early enough in advance. No booking fee is charged on the site, unlike the trainline. They also pay the cash back quicker than any other retailer I've come across on Quidco. Top class!

A 1st class ticket to London was remarkably cheap, ticket printing was convenient and the journey was a pleasure. Cashback payment was very prompt. Maybe Usain Bolt is having an influence on all Virgin products!

Virgin Trains' own web site is the place to book Virgin tickets - the best offers on their fares, easy to understand options, and NO additional fees! Just don't use it for other Train Opersting Companies services on the same route (eg LondonMidland) as the site is NOT designed to show initially fares cheaper than Virgin's on slower trains. Don't forget that as well as cashback you can claim Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points for Virgin Trains journeys, and, as of Sunbday 9th Dec 2012, Virgin's profits are apparently going to charity...

Virgin are a credit to Quidco. Some retailers will keep you hanging around 6, 9, 12 months for a payment. Not so with Virgin. Payments are FAST, they are reliable, and they are hassle free! Tracking is speedy, payment is speedy, what more can you ask? I have so far booked three journeys via Virgin Trains (none of which were actually travelling on Virgin trains), and I've never had a problem. Excellent, Virgin Trains! You set a good example for others to follow.

They pay the cashback very quickly. Excellent. The website is also the most user friendly of the train compamny website, and they off a 2% cashback on tickets for trains run by all the train companies, not just their own.

We always use Virgin Trains to get from the North West to London, the service is very quick and frequent. If you book early there are some fantastic deals available and getting paid cashback makes it even better.

Cashback was paid in about a week, I find Virgin Trains especially good as they don't have an online booking fee/card fee like a lot of other train sites. Therefore you get the cheapest price!

On a trip to London from Scotland we used East Coast (East Coast Line) line southbound and West Coast line (Virgin)Northbound on the return journey. First class both directions. The journey south was much more pleasant with East Coast. Virgin train felt cramped and tired. Across from us there was some kind of seemingly unused metal storage or catering thing and it rattled the entire journey. I could see other people had tried to wedge paper in it to stop it rattling without result. Southbound we got a cooked meal, wine, coffee and a snack. Northbound with Virgin - 2 snack boxes and coffee that they wouldn't have given you on their aircraft. Now I am led to believe that the service is different depending on what day and time you travel but even without the direct comparison I thought the Virgin service was quite poor. Oh and it was almost twice the price despite being booked only a couple of days later than the East Coast train.
Given the level of service and comfort on the Eastern Train I had been expecting good things from Virgin Trains, especially as I have used their airline before, but I was very disappointed.
