New Cardmembers earn 80,000 Membership Rewards® points when you spend £10,000 in your first six months of Cardmembership.

*The 80,000 Membership Rewards® bonus points will be awarded onto your Account once you have been approved and you have applied after 00:01am GMT 12 March 2025 and before 11:59pm GMT 27 May 2025 and spent and charged £10,000 within the first six months of Cardmembership. Cardmembership begins from Card approval.

The Platinum Card comes with other benefits including:

• Global Dining Credit: New Global Dining Credited eligible Platinum Cardmembers will now receive £400 annually. This includes, £200 to spend in the UK annually, with a maximum of £100 to spend every six months. £200 to spend abroad annually, with a maximum of £100 to spend every six months. Expires on 31 December 2026.
• Up to £100 a year back when spending at Harvey Nichols – a new benefit announced in January 2022, now extended until 30 June 2025.
• Worldwide travel insurance for the Cardmember, their family and supplementary Cardmembers. Enrolment required.
• Hotel benefits including complimentary room upgrades upon arrival (when available) and a late checkout, when booking through Fine Hotels and Resorts. 
• Access to the world’s largest independent airport lounge access programme – Priority Pass. Access to American Express Centurion Lounges around the world, including Heathrow Terminal 3, which opened in October 2021. In total, access to over 1,400 airport lounges in 140 countries. 
• Cardmembers enjoy one-of-a-kind experiences at exclusive Platinum events from dining and lifestyle experiences, to fashion and iconic sports events. Bookable through the Amex Experiences app and subject to capacity. 
• 1 Membership Reward point for almost every £1 spent offering Cardmembers the flexibility to make the most of their rewards in a way that best suits them 
• Supplementary cards: Cardmembers can apply for up to 5 Platinum Supplementary Cards. The first Platinum Supplementary Card will be complimentary, and Cardmember can then select up to 4 additional Platinum Cards for a fee, £285 per card (same fee as with the Charge Card).

The Card has a purchase APR of 30.0% variable, with a representative APR of 694.9% variable, including the annual fee of £650, based on a notional credit limit of £1200
