cashback declined - no reason given
2-weeks Holiday hire car purchased through Argus. Transaction was fine as agent/ broker, using Thrifty Car hire. Thought we had booked "medium" SUV (Jeep Patriot or similar), turned out we had Kia Sportage (or similar), which I'd say is a small SUV, and was showing as a different size on the hire car website. For the hassle to-from airport I can live with that, as for 2 weeks driving around the size was fine.
Biggest issue however is getting declined cashback notice 12 weeks after hire was completed. No reason given, even despite follow up claim and providing booking evidence. In this instance, my purchase was influenced by the cashback. Slightly more expensive hire with a slightly better cashback = lower nett cost.
Not so if you don't get your cashback. I'll not use them again.
