took advantage of a generous cashback offer (£7) for a 3 month subscription which I bought as a gift. Literally within 24 hours of my giftee redeeming it, I got a 'claim declined' so had to go through the process of contesting it, eventually got 40p back.
Product itself is good for people like me comfortable using the internet, however my older generation relative using the gift got confused by the pricing on the website/app, e.g. you're supposed to have either credit or a rolling subscription at £7.99 a month, and there are audiobooks books listed as £33, although there is text that says 'or 1 credit' it's not immediately obvious to my relative with poor eyesight (which is why they want audiobooks in the first place) and I had to log on and do everything for them remotely. the ability to browse by subject/genre also wasn't as fluid as it could be.
