Slow cashback and disapointing hotel

The cashback did not initially track, so I had to raise a claim with Quidco. Over four months after my stay, Britannia Hotels finally decided to pay the cashback. Good job too, since my stay at the Palace Hotel in Buxton was less than impressive. Initially I was given a room which resembled a converted broom cupboard. After a conversation with the manager I was offered the room I had paid for. The hotel is in a poor state of repair (buckets in the corridors catching water from the leaking roof) and it was seriously understaffed. If this is how Britannia runs all of its hotels, I will be avoiding them in the future.

Poor service

slow at the cash back, bad customer service (no complaints dept). complained to 3 different sections, never heard anything back. Paid for parking with hotel.. turned up at hotel, no parking taken out... had to pay more money! Went for an evening meal the night we stayed there, turned up at restaurant to be greeted by a nice girl, who asked if we had a reservation. We said no and her response was "sorry, we are fully booked tonight" - On looking in the restaurant, there were approx. 10 people in a restaurant that could have fitted 100 easily. We ended up having bar food opposite and their restaurant never got busier than the 10 people. Very poor indeed. Will never stop at one of their hotels again.
