Jon Hulme and John Burke, business school friends who met while studying in Madrid, hit upon the idea for Craft Gin Club while reminiscing over some of their favourite Spanish-style gin and tonics in a London bar. The pair founded Craft Gin Club in January 2015 with the mission to reinvent the way gin lovers discover and enjoy new gins, all while supporting amazing craft producers.
In the summer of 2016, Jon and John appeared on BBC Dragons’ Den, attracting offers from four Dragons before winning the investment of entrepreneur Sarah Willingham, who now works closely with the company as a member of its board.
Craft Gin Club can now lay claim to being the biggest (and our members would say the best!) gin subscription club in the UK. Even as we continue to grow, the same driving principles that led Jon and John to found the company still remain – helping smaller, craft distillers reach a wider audience with their amazing products and, at the same time, delivering the best gins in the world to the UK’s gin lovers. Whichever way you look at it, it’s a gin-gin situation!
Craft Gin Club is the perfect way to discover the world’s best gins as part of a bigger gin-loving community, all from the comfort of your own home. Being a member offers so much more than just picking up a bottle of gin off the supermarket shelf – it’s a whole gin experience!
Every month, Craft Gin Club sends its members a different surprise Gin of the Month box through the post. Each box contains a full-sized bottle of very special craft gin – including brand new, one-off or specially imported spirits. The gin is paired with hand-selected mixers, cocktail ingredients and foodie treats, as well as an issue of Ginned!, its monthly club magazine.
Each Gin of the Month box is £40, and members have three frequencies to choose from: monthly, bi-monthly and quarterly. Joining Craft Gin Club is commitment-free, and members can upgrade, downgrade or cancel their membership at any time.
If you’re not yet sure if you want to dive headfirst into a Craft Gin Club membership, you can try before you buy. You can find all of that come with the subscription available on the shop section of the site.
