Cashback still outstanding
I was previously with FU then transferred to GB Energy as it was incredibly cheap, I decided to switchback following the end of my fixed deal. FU were not the cheapest but when the cash back was taken into account it wasn't far off & it was a well known company I'd had dealings with previously that were without complaint.
Unfortunately the cash back has yet to materialise & it'll be 4 months on Friday (2/9) since I signed up, so don't always believe what is written. I requested a refund from them as my account was almost £180 in credit due to a drop in usage, whilst I got it, I wasn't impressed that it took 2 weeks to return my money, yet if I owed them they'd want it the same day. initially, there were issues in relation to my switch, the establishing of my online account & the acceptance of meter readings, my gas is supplied by an IGT which took ages to transfer & they wouldn't accept my readings, yet it was me who provided those same readings to my previous supplier, not sure what that was all about. Been with them 3 months now & things appear to have settled down, but please ensure you review your account regularly & you maintain control, also don't be sucked in with smart meters, review the Facebook page on this matter, it doesn't make for good reading.
