Helpful Information

Shopping Just Eat

Do you want to know how to make the most of your Just Eat cashback? Read on to get inspired on how you can start saving!

Cure the hunger with Just Eat takeaways

Choice, that’s the best thing about Just Eat. There’s so much choice. No longer are your tastebuds restricted because you only know a couple of local restaurants in your hood.

And, as orders are all placed online, there are no awkward phone calls trying to explain what you want from a menu that’s been stuffed into a drawer so many times it’s folded in all sorts of places.

Just Eat has taken that burden off you. You simply search for nearby restaurants and filter by cuisine, name, reviews and distance; it’s so quick and convenient.

You can browse hundreds of restaurants and cuisine types to find the dish you’re after, whether it’s for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Simply visit the Just Eat retailer page on Quidco, click our link and you’ll soon be seasoning your delicious takeaway with cashback. What a bonus!

Order a classic, such as Just Eat pizza or fish and chips

Today, there are more than 30,000 restaurants to choose from on Just Eat. Obviously, there are regional restrictions on delivery; there’s no point ordering a curry from Edinburgh if you live in London! But still, the choice is huge.

What you might not know is that some of the big restaurant chains have also joined the Just Eat revolution. You can now order your Boneless Banquet from KFC or your Whopper from Burger King with Just Eat and have it delivered right to your door.

Getting your mates around for the evening? Get some pizzas in to share from Pizza Hut or Papa Johns who are also available to order from Just Eat. And of course you can always opt for your local takeaway since you can probably find them on just-eat.co.uk too!

Cuisines of the world, unite! Get cashback on Just Eat Chinese and Indian food

Most of us crave the occasional sinful fast food feast. Luckily, you don’t always have to head to the same kebab house. Just Eat will take you on a culinary trip around the world. It’s a great place to treat your tastebuds.

Chinese takeaway has always been a favourite in the UK. Whether it is sweet and sour pork, your favourite dumplings or even a portion of Peking duck - you can find it on Just Eat. But also other Asian cuisines are easily found if you wanted to broaden your taste.

What would takeaway be without a good biryani or a chicken tikka masala from the Indian takeaway of your choice? Stock up on sharing platters too, with onion bhajis, saag aloo and chicken satay.

Not keen on Indian? Why not order your favourite Thai meal through Just Eat? A Thai green curry is always welcome in our eyes. And if these options are too boring for you, why not go off the grid and try Romanian, Brazilian or African food?

The world of food is your oyster - and with cashback through Quidco you even get some money back on your order with Just Eat!

Seeing which cuisines are available in your area could not be easier. If you are using Just Eat through their website, simply type in your postcode - you will be taken to a page where all restaurants that deliver to you are displayed.

On the left-hand side, you see different filtering options. Under “cuisine” you can filter for the type of world food that tickles your fancy just now.

If you are using the Just Eat app, it works similarly. Type in your postcode and see all the restaurants that you can choose from. The filtering option is behind the button on the top-right of your screen - scroll down until you get to the “cuisines” section and make your choice.

If you know what type of food you are craving and you don’t want to go down the “inspire-me” road and restrict your choices to one specific type of cuisine, you can also just use the search field on top of the screen.

Fancy a pizza or a kebab or maybe the all-time English classic fish & chips? Just type it in and see what your area has to offer. On Just Eat you can even search for halal, vegetarian or vegan and gluten-free restaurant options.

More than just dinner. Open your door to Just Eat desserts and breakfast

Just Eat is not only a great option when you just don’t feel like cooking or you want to try something new for dinner, they also do breakfast! And cake! So if you wake up with this insatiable desire for a full English breakfast – don’t fret, the solution to your problem is just a click away.

Are the in-laws coming over for a surprise tea-time? Why not whip up an impromptu sumptuous chocolate cake (we leave it to your discretion whether you want to take the credit or not).

So remember: breakfast, lunch, dinner, midnight snack, desserts or even a Sunday roast - chances are quite high that you can sort this out with Just Eat.

Keep the party going with Just Eat alcohol

Have you ever been in that situation when you had friends over for drinks and suddenly (and all too early) all the drinks have gone? We’ve all been there, no more wine, no more beer, but it’s way too early to go home.

Well, with Just Eat you can even have drinks delivered to your doorstep so the party can continue. Note that you have to be at least 18 years old in order to order alcohol through Just Eat and your ID will be checked upon delivery.

How does Just Eat work?

When you are about to make your first order with Just Eat you will be asked to create an account. It only takes a couple of minutes to sign up - either by typing in your details or by creating an account with Facebook.

Takeaways near you - see what is on today’s menu

Just Eat might remember your postcode, but you are by no means tied to one location. You can order your takeaway to your home, to the office or wherever hunger overcomes you.

The choice of restaurants that deliver depends on your location; therefore, it is important that you indicate the right postcode in the beginning. Otherwise you might be disappointed later.

Just Eat naturally offers the biggest choice of restaurants in the bigger cities like London, Edinburgh and Manchester. But fret not if you are living outside of the big smoke, as Just Eat won’t let you down.

Smaller towns like Bromley or Rochester are being served by Just Eat as well! Just log in, type in your current location and see what’s on the menu for today!

Placing your order

Once you have typed in your location, you will be taken to a screen that displays all the restaurants that deliver to your area. They will show you all the restaurants, but depending on the time of day some of them might be closed or only available to pre-order for later.

Some of the restaurants might also not deliver at the time you are looking for food, but you can still order through Just Eat and collect your food yourself from the takeaway.

In order to find the restaurant that is just right for you, Just Eat gives you a lot of filtering options. You can arrange the display order by best match, average ratings, distance or you can have it sorted in alphabetical order.

The filtering options on the website also let you choose a specific cuisine - Italian, British, Thai, you name it - while on the app you can additionally filter by restaurants that only offer collection or those that deliver.

As well as the filtering options you can of course always use the search bar to find the food that’s going to satisfy your cravings.

Pay close attention to the additional information that is presented to you on the results page: you will see each restaurant's average rating, the number of reviews, delivery fee and distance.

You can even click on the restaurants if you want to have a read of their reviews.

When you have found just the right restaurant, you can choose whatever you fancy from their menu. And just like you would if you were in an actual restaurant, you can ask for extra salami on your pizza or leave out the onions – just add a note to your order and the restaurant will sort it for you.

Once you have placed your order, you can track it in your account summary.

Changing or cancelling the order

Have you ordered a pizza just for yourself but out of nowhere your best friend suddenly materialises in front of your door? If you need to change your order, you should contact the restaurant directly and let them know you’d like to amend your order.

They will do their best to help, but it does depend on the individual restaurant if it’s possible to change your order once it’s been placed. You will find the restaurants contact number on the confirmation email that Just Eat sent to you.

If you need to cancel your order for some reason, you will have to contact Just Eat and have your order number to hand. They will do their best to contact the restaurant and cancel the order for you.

You will need the order number for this, which can be found on the confirmation mail as well. Whether the order can be cancelled and you will receive a refund will depend on the circumstances, but it’s best to contact them as soon as possible, ideally before the restaurant have cooked your food.

Just Eat does not really have opening or closing times, however, their customer service is usually ready to help from 10am until midnight. If a restaurant is open and taking orders, you should be able to place an order with them.

This is great when you are craving a midnight snack and your fridge once again is shockingly empty - why not check if Just Eat can help?

Payment options at Just eat

The payment methods at Just Eat are plentiful. Currently, you can pay with debit or credit card when you place your order online, pay with cash on delivery and with supported devices you can even pay with Apple Pay.

Unfortunately, Just Eat currently can’t accept PayPal payments, but hopefully this will change this in the future.

Collection or delivery?

Just Eat isn’t just a delivery service. You can also order food for collection. which is perfect for when you’re out and about, or when you’re on your way home from work after a long day and fancy something quick and easy.

You’ll see that many restaurants do offer collection as a method, which is great as you don’t want to spend your precious time waiting at the counter. Be smart and plan in advance on the go with the Just Eat mobile app.

For those who are in the comforts of their homes, there is no reason to leave if your favourite restaurant is delivering the food. Information about this can be found in the restaurant's information and on the restaurant results page.

Delivery times can vary and will depend on how busy the restaurant is, and how far it is away, so make sure you check this before you place your order.

If your food is late the best way to find out what is going on is to call the restaurant. Their phone number should be on the confirmation mail and they will be able to give you a status update.

If this does not lead you anywhere, however, you can get in contact with Just Eat either via phone or via live chat. Make sure you have the order number at hand so they can get your food to you as swiftly as possible.

Just Eat offers, discounts & voucher codes

If you want to use a discount or voucher code for Just Eat, make sure that it has been published on this page as well. When you are using a code that comes from a third-party site, your Just Eat cashback may be declined. Please read the terms and conditions for more information.
