Good facility, excellent staff, substandard CCTV cameras

We've used the Multistorey car park in Liverpool Airport many times, and although the spaces can be a little tight, we've had no problems at all - until Oct 2015 when we came back to find our (white) car had been hit by a dark blue car (their paint was on our car) who clearly had trouble getting out of the parking space next to ours. Of course no note was left on our windscreen(!) so a member of staff checked the CCTV but because the cameras - I quote: "aren't very good" we were unable to get any information from them. (We had always parked there thinking that the car was 100% safe not just because of the staff who patrol the car park, but because of the CCTV cameras. We were less than 50yards from one such camera but it wasn't able to detect the car next to ours reversing/driving out of it's parking space!) The staff, although no way at fault, were very apologetic and did their best to assist us. We were given a written report and the manager offered us his name and number in case he could help us any further down the line. I contacted Liverpool Airport in the weeks after and was given 20% discount off our next booking - which we did take advantage of BUT used in the Fast Track car park. (We have since used the Fast Track car park again.) Although the Fast Track car park is not undercover. the car parking spaces are bigger, there are less cars and so we feel for the peace of mind it is worth paying the extra. Liverpool Airport are not the quickest in paying the Quidco cashback (not many companies are to be fair) but they DO pay it eventually.
