Origin Broadband

Product order appeared smooth but had to phone them a couple of days before switch over that my router had not arrived, it turned up on the day of switching over, I'm not convinced it would have got there had I not reminded them. Service has been reliable, but the asus router they sent just would not work well with my canon wireless printer, so reconnected my old router instead. My main gripe with Origin is that they refused any cashback via Quidco even though I placed my order through Quidco in one transaction and did abide by the terms and conditions. Quidco were unable to get an explanation from Origin as to why my cashback was refused.

Don't bother. They're hard work and no cashback.

Well 6 months in there was no cashback and the Ombudsman was involved. Poor service from the start. Customer service a joke. Unable to solve issues or listen to what your telling them but for the most part pleasant. But getting through to them average of an hour for technical support. So average of hour and a half from start to finish. If you are having trouble, email probably quicker but they only respond to 2 out of 10 emails. Kept saying they would send an engineer so I would book day off but then he wouldn't arrive and they would say he didn't need to come to the house. But I still wouldn't have a working service. Sent us a router with wrong info in which wouldn't work. Stopped responding entirely. Even customer complaint dept. wouldn't respond to me after I got them involved. Got Ombudsman involved. Wouldn't respond to Ombudsman many times. Told Ombudsman they had completed requirements laid down by law but hadn't. Jokers and well worth an avoid. Took me 9 months to resolve as issues started on day one. You have been warned.

Very Poor

Still waiting for cashback 10 months later. Actual service really poor, false advertising, poor connectivity, poor customer services. Had to refer them to the ombudsman in the end.
