Diablo® IV is the ultimate action RPG experience with endless evil to slaughter, countless abilities to master, nightmarish dungeons, and legendary loot.
I got into Diablo III a few years ago and was instantly hooked by its storytelling and dark fantasy design. There's a large selection of classes to play and endless gear and skill combinations to play the class your way. It was a game that made grinding fun for me, always wanting that next 'best piece' that I had to have for a new build or to push a new tier. The feeling of an always present threat made the game feel fresh and clearing hordes of monsters and challenging bosses felt like I was making a difference in the story. I'm really looking forward to the new chapter of Diablo IV in June!
Diablo 4 takes place later in the timeline of the series and sticking to its style is a top down RPG. In this latest rendition of the game series I found that you have a lot of flexibility to make the character that you want with no set pattern so your character is truly what you make it! You can make them look how you would imagine them too with the added character customisation added in. From my experience playing the Beta I found the story left me wanting to know what's next while still being different enough to not get dull. Well done Blizzard!
Diablo IV is Blizzard's attempt to go back to the success formula it had with the Diablo 2 - highly customizable talent and paragon systems, gear customization and seemingly no "broken" classes or builds. Overall it feels more alluring to hardcore gamers and Diablo series enthusiasts than Diablo III - so far I've been impressed! We'll just have to wait and see how the end-game looks like - I've a feeling it might be very grindy and repetitive, but it's worth giving it a go even if it's just to explore the storyline and all the side quests once.
