No cashback received with no reason given

I bought a light for my mum for Christmas from the Original Gift Company. Whilst she was pleased with it, it wasn't cheap and it's frustrating that the cashback claim was not upheld. It has taken four months to find out the claim has been refused. It's disappointing and is enough for me not to use the Original Gift Company again in the future. Usually tracking on Quidco is excellent and submitting missing claims, which happen from time to time, is usually easy and painless enough.
