It took four months for me to get my cash back but since I had read the reviews about how long it takes I was ready for the wait and was happy with that. My credit card gives me cash back once per year and it is a lot less than what I got from two purchases using Quidco. If you are buying a product from a reputable supplier at a price you are happy with then treat the cash as a bonus - I do and the return is much better than any bank will give you.

Took this policy out in October and am still waiting for my cash back - why do they have a faster paying symbol when this clearly is not true? Was told when I first posted this that the 6 months they had to pay was not up so it wouldn't be posted. It is now just under 7 months and my new payment date - which has already been changed once - is the 10th June! Something needs to be done - no problems with any other company and certainly shouldn't have the faster payer title

Like many, I was persuaded to purchase AA breakdown cover because of the great offer through Quidco. Nearly 6 months on, I am STILL waiting for my cashback to be confirmed and paid. I am disappointed with both Quidco, for falsely listing AA as a 'Fast Payer'',and AA for not taking these cashback scheme serious enough to honour their pledge to their customers.
WARNING to all potential customers: Be prepared for a long wait, one that doesn't even guarantee if you will ever see your rightly deserved cashback.

I am not impressed with the AA. The breakdown service is good, but waiting six months for faster paying cashback is a farce and when it comes to the mechanical breakdown cover they try hard to avoid paying out.

I haven't been paid yet. Months later and still no word of getting paid. No complaint method works and I just get fobbed off with "the retailer hasn't paid us yet" Its a crucial part of the purchase that the cashback was part of the deal. Its tracked and confirmed.. SO WHERE IS MY MONEY!!!!??????????????????????????????
If I owed this amount I would be in court already. This is dreadful and shameful behaviour.

Purchased from the AA as opposed to the RAC as it was a "faster payer." 7 months on, and no sign of the cashback. The expected payment date is constantly being pushed back by Quidco. I will not be renewing with the AA, come renewal, and certainly will not let a Quidco cashback offer influence my choice in supplier again!

I purchased AA breakdown cover, as with the cashback it seemed a good deal. That was in January 2013 and two requests later I am still waiting to be paid. There are other cashback sites out there and other breakdown insurance providers. £30 cashback is a significant amount when you're on a pension as I am. I feel cheated.

I chose AA over RAC due to the faster paying option, thinking 'hey, I'll have the money faster'. Not the case. Now 4 months in, nothing has paid and it's still tracked. This shouldn't have been logged as faster paying and will check reviews next time before using Quidco.
*Update: Now exactly 6 months on, the cashback still hasn't paid. I won't be using AA again after this as the speed of payment is too long. Cheaper alternatives exist.

Well eventually it happened and I got my AA cashback for breakdown cover. I purchased in Aug 2012 and it tracked in Sept 2012.... after writing a review about how slow it was Quidco support looked into it. I guess they must have greased the wheels and got things moving as I now had the cash in my bank (May 2013)

Bought AA cover through quidco only BECAUSE of the cashback offer in September 2012. Still not received my cashback even after 7 MONTHS.
VERY unhappy. Quidco support have said several times "they're investigating". Investigating however doesn't give me the money we agreed to when I used quidco for the referral does it.
AVOID AA THROUGH QUIDCO. There are MUCH better options for vehicle cover, even within quidco.

I was worried after reading other reviews, that it would take forever to get my cashback from the AA.
Maybe I was lucky, but I was paid in less than 2 months. Took out cover Feb 2013, paid cashback early April 2013. Hopefully a sign that AA are starting to get faster at paying out.
With the cashback discount it made my AA cover great value.

I signed upto AA breakdown to get cash back and this was the only reason could of gone with RAC as they also had discounts but AA worked out better. I have received my cash back from talk talk who I made an order with at the same time but nothing from AA been waiting 6 months!!!

I was a little worried having read reviews of people not receiving their cashback however I have had mine now. It's took roughly 2 months to get paid from when it tracked.
I bought cover in one go up front so not via direct debit and it tracked quickly.
Overall I'm very happy now having received my £48 cashback :) A great offer!

I have just renewed my membership as I was happy with the actual service.
One year on and I have not received a penny in cashback. Quidco, please remove the AA from your site. It is actually misleading new customers with hope of money. There is none.

What can I say, it's taken over a year and multiple emails back and forth between myself, quicdco and the AA before I finally got my cashback. The AA initially said that they had no record of the transaction, but copies of the breakdown policy forced them to change their story. Since then it has just been delay, after delay. If you do use them make sure you keep all correspondence, and don't let the matter drop until you have been paid, even if it does take over a year!

it would seem a lot of people that write reviews for the AA dont read the statement here on Quidco -
If you use direct debit payments rather than paying via up front debit card, the AA will only pay the cashback after 6 months!
So, you've been told in advance and it's not a valid reason to rate the AA down
:-)

AA Purchase made September 30th 2012 - its now 4th April 2013......OVER 6 MONTHS LATER AND STILL NO PAYMENT....!!
The only reason I opted for the AA over its competitors was because of the cashback offered via Quidco.
I did read the previous Quidco AA reviews but rather naively thought they must have done something wrong, and I assumed that if I followed all the Quidco rules the promised cash back would follow.
Well 6 months later and I am still waiting I paid in full up front and since joining the AA have not made a single AA call out so whats the problem..??
I certainly wont be re-joining the AA upon renewal, and my advice to anyone considering joining the AA via Quidco and expecting to receive any promised cash back would be to listen to the vast majority of the Quidco user feedback and simply DONT BOTHER..

Also the original offer included a free MOT but there was no garage available, despite it being a national chain, within 40 miles. I live in central Norwich so this should not have been a problem!

Other than that, the AA service has changed a lot since I remember it as a child when my father's car broke down. Pretty appalling service so unlikely I will be renewing. I will be trying RAC or another service next year.

I bought home insurance from them last June - still in tracked status at this moment in time. I did not chose to take the home rescue option for my home insurance and I had 7 phone calls (3 within a week and then months later 4 within a week) selling me the same thing. This is despite me asking them on every occasions to not call me regarding this cover as I do not want it.
Will not be using them again.

Quidco says it is taking longer because the AA are worried about people getting cashback and then cancelling their policy
It now says that if you pay in instalements it will take 6 months.

Bought cover back in September 12 and it promised payment in 5 months, checked in January and this had changed to 6 months, now it is 8 months. This is some form of sick joke. Either the AA meet the 'faster payer' standard or the title should be removed.
I had a faster payment from them a couple of years ago when they were not labled as a faster payer.
Quidco get this sorted, don't just keep moving the goal posts, or faster payers status will have no meaning.
UPDATE
Quidco are now guaranteeing payment by the 8th August for new customers. So why do new customers get a guarantee of 4.5 months whilst many users are still waiting at least 6 months for their cash back??
This is turning a joke into a farce!!
Sort out those users who are already waiting, before promising new users something different.
I note that the site still says payment within 8 months.

As so many other people have said, despite it saying faster paying, it has been over 5 months now and still no sign of cashback. It was previously saying 5 months average payment speed when I purchased the cover which then updated to 6 months, and is now on 8 months which doesn't seem like faster paying at all! The AA customer services were helpful and friendly when it came to needing to change my address.

Used this site to purchase insurance from the AA followed all the rules and now after waiting 7 months for the cashback the transaction has been declined with no explanation as to why. Don't bother buying insurance from the AA from this site if you are expecting to get cashback As it looks like you won't be successful based on mine and other reviews on this site.

Still waiting for AA cashback and see online that loads of people have waited over 5 months which is disgraceful. quidco should cancel the Faster Payment status that is supposedly agreed between them selves and the AA. quidco seem happy that one of their partners is taking so long to cough up the money.

Like many other shoppers I took their cover as the cashback was generous however it took a lot of chasing and 18 months to receive it.
That said, on the very few occasions I have had to use the AA, the actual recovery side of the business was great., but the financial side sucks. When my 12 month cover was up with the AA I did not renew with them and told them the cashback delay was the principal reason: They took my trade then failed to deliver their side of the deal. The AA appears to me to have no respect to their customers.
It was also a lot cheaper to be a new customer then a loyal customer.
Qudico chased hard and eventually The AA coughed up (Thank you, Quidco). Think hard before you go with them, unless you are willing to be very patient.

AA = Absolutely Abysmal Why on earth it is flagged as " faster Paying" fails me - they've taken my money but the cashback still not in my account, and that was the only reason I opted for the AA. I will certainly just go for a cheaper option without the bother of even trying for cash back next year. Completely hopeless!

I have an older car (>10 years old), so getting breakdown is usually expensive. Quidco had a good deal for breakdown cost and I saved about half the cost. In addition, the AA sent me a voucher for a free MOT test, thus almost recouping all the money back for the breakdown!
As usual, it takes forever (4 months-ish), but i've got it, so a nice welcome thanks just after Christmas!

AA want the business but dont want to cough up. Pity, as this sort of attitude effects who I buy my breakdown cover with when I renew.
The actual AA breakdown service thankfully I haven't had to try yet, but with kids in the car I cant take the risk of being stranded.
Must try harder AA, you really must.

My cash back was not tracked and then subsequently declined. I have used Quidco for many years so know exactly how it works. Quidco say AA don't recognise that I made the purchase through Quidco. I have written to AA to complain as well (I think more people should do this as they are just as responsible for this as Quidco). Of course I got a standard response - same as the Quidco response but if enough people complain to both parties maybe something will be done to stop them promising cash back and then getting away with it on a technicality. I have just cancelled my AA home emergency cover and will not be renewing my AA breakdown cover.

I purchased a comprehensive breakdown cover with AA on the 6th of March 2012. Cash back for this was 60 punds and this has not even been comfirmd yet despite numerous reminders.
I have done this purchase exactly as other and has not bompromised the "process". AA is useless!!!

This purchase was made in June 2012.
It failed to track so I notified Quidco and was told the retailer imposes a delay before any tracking claim can be accepted.
The claim was eventually allowed in October and I received the cashback in November.
Since buying the breakdown cover, the AA has been quick to send me unwanted postal marketing junk mail offering upgrades and other AA products/services!
Average time taken to pay is 11 months according to Quidco

Purchase did not track and when I raised a ticket I was told:
Dont worry - AA UK Breakdown has been taking an average of 6 months to process claims up to confirmation stage. Once reaching confirmation stage it takes an average of 5 months to pay.
So I guess if you don't mind waiting 11 months for payment it could be worthwhile.

From Sept 2011 it took two months before the payment even tracked. I was informed there was a delay in making the payment and assured that it would be made in March 2011...I eventually received payment in Sept 2012.... So, Good Luck if you take the chance with 'faster paying' AA.

Tracked cashback but was declined. I have followed the requirements to the letter and raised a cashback claim. This was a year ago. Still not resolved. It sounds like a great deal and they make you buy extra cover in order to reach the minimum spend - which is much more than an average cover with other providers - in order to qualify for the generous cash back.
8 months on and still no sign of it... 2 months after the purchase AA declined the cash back and so in turn I had to provide my policy number. The Quidco team told me that their contract does not allow them to raise a claim before 3 months which meant I even had to wait another month just to raise a cash back claim. Since raising the claim I have contacted the quidco help desk about every other month to find out what the progress is and every time I've been told that AA have accepted my claim, but still have not paid the money to quidco - which in turn means i cannot receive my £60 cash back (it was £60 back then) - and they are classified as a fast payment partner which is absolute nonsense!
I would recommend that you think carefully whether it's worth upping your spend in order to get the so called promised cash back which in my case has not materialised yet.

Took a very long time for AA to confirm the cashback, I had to provide evidence for my purchase even after Quidco had tracked it.

Tracked correctly and cashback was paid much faster than expected - within just over two months in total. Haven't had to call them out to use the service as yet, but otherwise impressed.

took policy in december 2011 and the cashback was finally paid in october 2012. Quidco was very good at keeping me updated but the retailer took a very long time to confirm the cashback. Thank you quidco

Took 6 Months to get cash-back but Paid £28 for breakdown cover and got £21 cash-back,
well worth the wait. Renewal is now due (£43) so may try RAC (through Quidco of course).
Not used the Breakdown service as I drive a Honda, so can't comment.
Quidco at its very best! 1st class cash back & service from the AA

been with the aa for some time, after it expired, waited, then re-newed via quidco... The cashback was paid promptly (within 3 weeks) and the service is as expected, 1st class. 100% recommendation, Quidco at its very best.

Please sort this quidco. It's totally unacceptable to wait a year for cashback. I'm sorry I bothered signing up really for all of the hassle of it.

This time the advertised cashback was £60 for breakdown cover over £100 (for a selected period) but was paid only £50. When it was queried, this missing £10 was declined by AA. Currently Quidco is pursuing this £10 with AA. Although AA itself provides a fair motoring service to members, Cashback tracking is unreliable.
Update: After Quidco support persued this further the missing cashback was eventually approved. Thanks Quidco support staff.

Amused to get my renewal pack through the post, yet still no sign of my cashback. Occasional emails from Quidco saying that they're chasing it up. Phoned AA renewals mainly for a bit of a laugh and they confirmed they have nothing to do with the cashback process.

I must say that I was delighted with the speed of tracking and the deal I got with the AA, however, please watch out at renewal. For the cover I could get via Quidco at £98 with £38 cash back (as a new customer), my renewal notice price is £179 !!!! So remember to cancel before they just take the money. It's not like I have ever used the service.
Just had my annual renewal through - still no cashback!!

Took out roadside cover + 'cover for you' in October 2011, and I am still waiting for my cashback 11 months later.
The renewal came through (which would have taken an automatic payment) for £62.72 and a 25% discount which brough it down to £47.04, that is still over £5 more expensive then advertised on their website! terrible! (plus not including the cashback through quidco if it ever will appear from the AA)
I wonder if i will ever get to see this money :o(
told the advisor my reasons for cancelling, he got quite shirty with me, even more reason to cancel!!

As per previous reviews my AA membership taken out through Quidco has not tracked and have waited 5 days for it to show, therefore raised a claim through Quidco where it states there is a further waiting period subject to the AA's terms!
How can my purchase not shown as tracked when after I purchased my AA membership my Quidco website acknowledged my purchase and said it had been recorded and will be tracked ?
Not happy with this service.....

Like the review before cash back not showing tracked so a claim made through quidco...seems to be contrary to the 96/97% tracking within 3days stated!
On flip side have used the service re a dead battery and aa man with me in 40 mins and good service received.

I see the only other review on Quidco for the AA breakdown also waited 11 months for their cashback. Not sure if they did get the cashback in the end but, after several support requests I'm now waiting for my cashback to be paid into my bank. It took from October last year until now (September) to get to this point and I'm aware that there are no guarantees that cashback will be paid but, I have to say that I doubt I'll use the AA again. I haven't used the policy *touching wood* so I can't comment on the actual service but, I'm disappointed with the time and effort it took to get the cashback.
All that said, I've had to chase the claim up a few times but, the Quidco support staff have been helpful throughout.

After 11 months, still not received the cashback.
And when I used the AA breakdown service for a flat battery, they took 3 hours to get to me (in SW London !).
Appalling service.
