RAC Cashback Terms and Conditions
- Cashback is not available in conjunction with any other RAC offers or promotions.
- All transactions are run through extensive confirmation checks and policies are validated after 3 months from the policy start date. Payments must be up to date at time in order to be validated and it can take up to 6 months for cashback to reach your account.
- Cashback is issued from the cashback website not from RAC. Any queries relating to cashback payments should be raised with the cashback website.
- The cash back offered is only available as shown at the time and RAC reserves the right to withdraw cash-back offers at any time.
- RAC Car Insurance cashback is only available on tracked transactions completed online.
- You must have BACS as your cashback payment method for this merchant.
- Cashback is available to new customers only. Renewals of existing RAC policies do not qualify for cashback.
- Claims for untracked or disputed cashback should be made within 6 months of the policy start date. In order to raise a claim within the 6 month period you will need your RAC policy number so please take a note of this.
How to ensure your transaction is tracked correctly
- Make sure you click through from the cashback website and get a new quote. If the quote is generated from another site (such as a comparison site) you will not receive cashback.
- Make sure you have third party cookie tracking enabled and you allow the confirmation page to fully load before closing the window.
You will not receive cashback on your order if:
- The policy is cancelled before it has been validated
- The payments are not up-to-date at the time of validation
- The policy has not tracked fully through the cashback site links or has not been validated by RAC.
- The policy is identified as fraudulent. RAC reserves the right to cancel any policies or cashback if we discover or reasonably suspect the terms of the offer are being abused.

It seemed like a trouble free purchase, I paid outright and used no voucher code. It was declined so I appealed but it seems they are sticking to their guns and not paying the £40 cashback. I changed insurer on the strength of the casback, I would advise anyone else to be very cautious when dealing with RAC. Very disappointing. Since using Quidco since 2006 this is the first time I have had a dealing with a completely unreasonable company

Bought it according to their t&c and only on the strength of the cashback. It was declined without explanation in-spite of my fulfilling ALL the relevant criteria and this being an honest insurance policy purchase. Makes you wonder how they would react should you ever need to contact them on any insurance related issue. Best advice - AVOID!
To Quidco - Why allow retailers/ sellers to decline bonafide claims and cashback?? Remove them from your site - too many disappointed and cheated customers on this page alone...

Despite being insured with them for a year, RAC never paid the cashback. It was delayed and delayed and I queried it and then suddenly I noticed the 6 months clause and they declined it. Really maddening as otherwise I would not have chosen them. Also we moved house and i changed .car during the year and each time they charged a fairly hefty penalty for changes. Avoid them. Never again.

cash back time true to word - care - to get it you do need to input policy details via quidco to claim. Not sure about insurance compant as not yet had to claim, all policy via website no cover note sent in post just print off web. Did have problems with legal cover being started from application date and not policy start date as put on application and company very difficult to deal with as restricted opening office opening hours, no email contact either. They did not understand that had already got legal cover on exist policy and explained that they would not pay out if my exist one did - so paying for cover did not require till over a week later when car ins started, and they would not pay out on. Many calls later agreed to lapse legal cover for one week. -------- all can say do not take the legal cover get it elsewhere as rac legal cover is via a subsidiary company and rac cannot do anything about problems on the legal cover side!!!!!!!

I am disgusted to learn my payment has been declined after meeting all the relevent criteria. Being a reputable trader I didnt think I would need to keep an eye on the payment and didnt come on Quidco for a few months, when I did I found the payment had been declined and i was a few days over the claim cut off point. I feel like I have been ripped off , anyone dealing with this cash back offer be very aware that it seems a quite common occurrance

I waited nearly 4 months for this cashback to appear, a ridiculous amount of time, if I would of know I would of gone with a different supplier, still no confirmation of my roadside assistance...poor poor poor!!

Been waiting for over a year for cash-back & still no news, but they managed to send me a renewal form for my car ins and that was nearly a £100 more than l got it from 'More Than', very poor service all round, wouldn't recommend at all.

To have to fight for 12 months for £75 is ridiculous.On top of that i got charged a lot of money for a change of vehicle.

The price, including the cashback deal was the best and cheapest option for me.
I'm not happy about the 'Faster Paying' tag being attached to them though as I think four months is a long time. Saying that, overall I'm happy with everything.

I am still waiting for my cashback from RAC. They are extremely slow and I have been asked on various occasions to provide proof of my purchase. I have done this and are still waiting. Not impressed what so ever. They are by far the worst ones to pay and will find every excuse under the sun not to pay out. As I said I am still waiting and are still asked to provide further proof. Not a happy customer. Hopefully Quidco will be able to resolve this issue soon.
