Have used Quidco to purchase TalkTalk services twice now and both times cashback initially rejected.
On the first occasion they paid after I escalated the claim but the second time they refused to honour the cashback which tracked fine. I don't intend to give them a third opportunity.
It seems to me they try and get away with not paying by issuing a default 'decline' and only pay (sometimes) if chased.
The engineer visit to install Plus TV left me with no wifi and it took several phone calls before my router was replaced. Needless to say, I would not recommend.

Transfer to TalkTalk was painless, no downtime at all and I was kept informed along the way. Service has been great, no complaints whatsoever. Overall I'm really impressed.
Tracking and payment were exceptionally fast. Payment made 10 days after service began, you can't get much quicker than that. Well done TalkTalk.

Ordered, received package very quickly and setup instructions were extremely clear and easy to do.
cashback was £70 and upfront line rental was £115 and £3.50 per month for broadband - total works out to less than £7.50 a month! amazing!
Cashback received VERY quickly. I was losing patience with quido because I hadn't received anything from other retailers and was about to dump it but thanks to TALKTALK, I'm staying.
Only negative was the £5 retention by quidco which is absolutely not talktalk's fault.

I switched to Talktalk and I was up and running in 2 weeks, phone line and broadband switched no gaps. It even worked with my old router still plugged in but I switched to theirs anyway. 14 days later I got paid £70 for the cashback. It's a no brainer.

Moved into a new place so needed a new broadband supplier.
Sign up was easy and Talk Talk promptly supplied the router and had us up and running within a week, which was much quicker than my previous experiences with BT.
However, like many of the reviews here, I had my cash back claim declined as they couldn't trace the transaction, even though they were supplied with all the required details - and I'm still a customer!
So don't use the cash back payment as a justification to go with them; the service is good though and price wise is still very competitive.

Signed to TalkTalk essentials broadband for 3.25 pounds a month (plus £114 yearly landline) on 7th of February. Cashback paid (70 - 5 quidco fee = 65 pounds) on 13th of March! The fastest cashback so far!
As to the broadband service - definitely more than good enough for the money! Sometimes connection drops, especially if using torrents, otherwise - perfect! Customer assistants sometimes can be dumb, but nothing extraordinary - about UK average :) If you think about switching, do not think - switch! ;)
I just upgraded to fibre for £15 extra per month - everything flies! 80 Mbits/s - FANTASTIC! And £30 cashback on top!

We've been with Talktalk for some years and find their pricing far better than any competitor. Never had a problem with customer service either.
However, my purchase didn't track way back in November so had to raise a claim. Eventually, four months later it has been declined saying they couldn't trace the transaction. Can't figure out why when I definitely did it through Quidco link. So that was disappointing.
However, still think the Youview deal is very good.

It seems a really attractive deal but to be honest its one of the worst broadband service I have ever had.
It just randomly stops at any point of time. Sometimes you are just in the middle of important task and next thing you know is your internet is gone. I would never ever recomend talk talk. Its simply rubbish.

The service is very good, speeds and pricing is good, BUT after declining cashback I raised a claim, it was investigated then declined again after saying they could not trace the order!
I supplied my reference number and full name and address but no joy.
So as a precaution do not include cashback when comparing!

Definitely a thumbs up for Talk Talk Fibre optic internet in conjunction with BT.
Smooth installation process, BT open reach engineer came for the installation, excellent speeds, Speed checker shows speeds of about 20+meg download and 15 meg for uploads, this is in comparison to 5 meg for download and 1 meg for upload over ADSL (i.e. ordinary internet).

it took 3 weeks for me to have a fault with my phone line I had an engineer out to it within a few days however didn't fix fault as couldn't climb phone mast due to snow(would come back in a few days) I never saw him again same again 10 days later once again engineer said its an external fault cant climb phone mast as the mast was in someone's back garden and they wasn't in(never saw him again) I then rang TalkTalk explained situation they told me it would be resolved asap i told them i'm going on holiday for 7 days and needed it fixed by the time i came back as they did not need access to property as it was an external fault needless to say this didn't happen. i rang them up when i cam back to some idiot who lied to telling me it was a fault with my modem i called him out on it to which he apologised and said sorry i needed to make that up as we want you to stay with us. anyway i'm now with virgin and very happy just glad to no longer have TalkTalk NEVER EVER AGAIN.

I have to say I was a little bit reluctant at first to go with Talk Talk as from what I have heard they have a lot of problems, I have however been really impressed with the service and price I have received. They had my internet, phone and TV service set up well within a month and it has been completely hassle free. Would really recommend anyone to them. Also the cash back was paid within 30 days too.

Really disappointed with Talk Talk on this. Ordered the package when they were on a promotional rate, got a letter confirming but saying it may take a bit longer than normal. Didn't hear anything until my cashback was declined a couple of weeks later and when I called was told that there was no order. They then said they would need at least a month to get set up, even though it had already been over 3 weeks.

Not living in any of the main network areas and even outside the Sky network, I was stuck with 3 options. ADSL provided by the major companies with a MAX of 8MB. Virgin cable, which is expensive and ADSL2+ provided by the TalkTalk network.
I was suspicious of joining TalkTalk due to all the bad hype, but everything arrived on time and the cash back has been paid quick enough (less than 2 months), I cannot have any gripes so far.

Offered £70 cashback, declined 3-4 months after purchase. Faster paying my foot. No good reason for decline. The internet connection is intermittent, and considering I am very close to the exchange, the speed is poor. The customer service is not up to scratch either. I would not recommend

been live 1 month now after switching from BT and saved £250 first year compared to BT. Faster speed and free 500 mobile mins every month for 3 months bonus.
cashback tracked ok, and paid out just after 2 months which is alot faster than what i was expecting so cant complain.

Very efficient transfer of my phone and broadband service from Virgin Media - I didn't even need to contact Virgin Media to terminate, as Talk Talk did absolutely everything for me.
I was kept well informed throughout by text and e-mail, and the engineers came and installed my broadband and TV at exactly the time promised.

The connection was smooth enough but I have battled (for two & half months) with customer services to resolve a continual daily broadband disconnection problem. Eventually after numerous calls and visits from two Talk Talk engineers, A BT engineer solved the problem and I am now connected without interuption. I can honestly say that in all my dealings with many different company's customer services over the years, Talk Talk's customer service is truly the worst I have ever had the mis-fortune to deal with. Calls are always routed through to either the Phillipines or India and the quality of informed intelligent help is abysmal. They always claim they are recording the calls so they can improve their service which would be funny if I hadn't suffered hours of wasted time - no exageration. However to look on the bright side, the speed (circa 12mb) of the broadband is well over twice that which Orange my previous provider gave me. Now that the .connection problem is sorted I am delighted. I have never had a problem with land line calls, which is part of my package. Pricewise, which is why I changed provider, I can't complain - excellent value for money. Coupled with the generous cashback I will receive from Quidco, I am feeling a lot better than I was!! So with the caveat that everything goes according to plan, new subscribers to Talk Talk will probably be delighted they switched. As soon as one has to deal with a problem, will be when becomes frustrating - so be warned!

I have to say how pleased i am that i have changed to Talk Talk Broadband.
Initially I did have a problem and after reading some very negative comments on forums about Talk Talk I was beginning to regret changing, However, My issue was resolved very quickly and the Customer service I recieved (from the UK ) was second to none. Im happy with the service I get and it does the job for me.

Switched from a BT infrastucture-using competitor to Talk Talk, and my broadband is now almost 3 times as fast (up from 7 Mbps to almost 20), and about half the price. I didn't even need to do anything; just kept my old router plugged in (the Talk Talk one's a bit nasty looking). All good so far.

Really easy to change supplier to, no problems, tracked well. Payment took about 3 months which was as expected.

I have yet to have to use their dreaded customer service, but in cashback terms they can't be faulted; extremely quick tracking and payment.

It has taken over 4 months for TT to raise the cashback. Even then i did not get the full amount i was offered at point of sale. To Long , bills incorrect and offers not applied. This has been a complete joke.

Very poor customer service from them, no respect for customers. I got a call to make a payment which i did straight away and then she started banging on about 10 pound non direct debit payment fee. I asked her to read the terms of my contract she diligently refused to do so and when i rang and talked to the manager he read them to me and surprise surprise there was no mention of 10 pound fee for non direct debit payment. The worst customer service ever, even worse then the loan shark companies customer service.
The internet speed also goes down most of the day , after this contract finishes i'm gonna switch to BT

No complaints with service from Talk Talk. Excellent value for money when considering cashback, however purchase not tracked automatically and six month's to confirm claim raised.

I was initially a little bit sceptical about signing up to Talk Talk - with the reputation they had been carrying.
I have to say theyve put all that behind them and have been absolutely brilliant!
Consistent great communication and feedback.
Equipment arrived on time and service was turned on 12 hours before they had committed too.
Billing is easy and simple and I have received quality, but not pushy after care calls
I cannot fault them - and if my experience is being rolled out across their network I would urge you all to drop your current network operator and switch to Talk Talk
Just to finish off - neither I or my family have anything to do with Talk Talk - its a completely unbiased review

I had to do a lot of nagging on the email to get the cash back. talktalk are alright though. We got a pretty good deal from them, the £70 was a great bonus.

It took eight months of calls for TalkTalk to get my bill correct - I only signed up for a standard package of upfront line rental and broadband - how hard can it be!
Cashback took 14 months to be paid from date of signup and has only just been confirmed.
Overall, TalkTalk seem to be fine if everything goes smoothly, just don't expect to resolve any issue either quickly or satisfactorily if anything goes wrong.

This tracked amazingly quickly and my cashback was paid within 3 months.. Great value for money and with the cashback an ever better price.
