Aviva home insurance was amongst the lowest of my quotes the cash back was the cherry on top.
I also found that adding another car to my car insurance was a good saving , unlike other insurance multiquotes which would have saved me nothing.

I had to raise a claim with quidco as the payment did not show in my activity. I raised the claim in October but quidco could not approach Avila until February. Once quidco verified my claim the cash back appeared within a week.

Took out home insurance 12 Oct 2012 with £60.00 of Cash back. Did all the right things but no sign after 3 days. raised a claim and Quidco said 90 day wait. They raised a claim 24 Feb 2013. Payment confirmed 20 Mar 2013.
Did not bother to try and insure either car at begining of March as I had no proof that I would get Cash back.
Will not use Aviva again!!!!

Its been months and still no cash back. It's one of he reasons I've actually stopped searching through quidco fo deals, seems pointless if you don't get paid out. So many people are saying the same thing.

Eventually after submitting claim got the correct cashback but VERY slow to do anything took 5-6 months to be acknowledged then another month to pay out.

I have no complaints about Aviva's product offiering or price (would not have bought from them if they were expensive). However the transaction did not track (I had to submit a claim which took AGES to be approved), once it was finally approved, it then too AGES again for the cashback to be finallly paid. I really don't see how they can be classed as "Faster Payers"!! However the end result is good, I got my money, it just needed a lot of patience!

I'll be honest, we had always avoided Aviva in previous years as they had come up as one of the most expensive on searches but this year we were pleasantly surprised. Not only did we get a greatly competitive deal for both home & contents insurance but we also got a sizeable cashback which tracked and confirmed promptly without any fuss. Thank you, Aviva.

Update:Now Confirmed. Sept 12->Confirmed 26/02/13.
In fairness to Quidco - the problem for me, was not specific to Quidco.
As a seasoned Cashbacker, Aviva is one of the those that I always have trouble with, getting the transaction to track with Aviva Home or Aviva Car, and this problem wasn't specific to Quidco-just to say -the other cashback site didn't track either - but Aviva have confirmed both (two different products) through cashback claims.
If you have sucess first time:
List the browser, OS, whether you cleared cookies, whether you changed the quote etc, Antivirus active/not. Firewall active/not - so other's can have sucess first time too!
There is definitely a technique to Aviva, but I haven't yet found the optimal one yet, but its reassuring to know Aviva did confirm the transactions on submission of a cashback claim.

The Combined Building and Contents Clause changed from when I purchased a contents only policy. This is a disgrace! It affected my buying decision and now they have gone back on it!

I took out a contents cover with an expensive Aviva home insurance policy. I chose it ahead of many other reputable and cheaper companies because the cash back element would have meant it worked out as a good deal. Let me repeat: I would not have taken the cover out if it weren't for the cash deal they advertised on Quidco as they were too expensive!! Anyway the transaction was tracked OK but I've recently received notice that the cash back element has been declined. The deal DEFINITELY stated buildings or contents cover on Quidco at the time I took it out, it was the deciding factor after all. I won't bother complaining as I see others have had the same experience with no resolution. I guess I'll just not use them again in future out of principle.

Cashback was not paid by Aviva. I went for the cashback on contents cover, Aviva did not confirm the cashback via Quidco despite me raising a ticket. After 120 days, I complained to Aviva directly at which point they told me that the offer only stood for buildings and contents cover. I am certain that I selected the contents cover only cashback offer. I will not be using Aviva again and now take a copy of the quidco page prior to making any Insurance purchase.

Bought this policy as i had bought car insurance with Quid Co and had the £40 cash back paid in about a week, this time not so lucky bought policy in Sept now Dec still no cash! I think the first was paid promptly to reel you in. Another thing the retailer is the same so why take so long now when it only took a week first time round?

I am very dissapointed with Aviva Home insurance . I took out insurance in June and now November 27th and still not received my cash back, Only just confirmed it after chasing them for 3 months.
They are now listed on Fast Payers yet we shall see.

They weren't the cheapest by far for home insurance but once the cash back was taken off it was a reasonable price. However, I have never received the cash back!! After raising the maximum number of claims through quidco and being continuously declined, I emailed them personally and am still yet to receive a reply despite their garenteed 48 hour reply period! Not worth the hassle and shall certainly never buy insurance from Avila again!

Just received confirmation from Aviva (19th Oct) from a purchase in early June. If this is a faster payment it's slower than the 'non faster payers'. What's the point?

AVIVA give great cash back incentives to buy their products. However, I always have to raise a claim and wait for months before the sale is officially recognised and listed as 'Tracked'
I have bought 3 separate insurance products from them in the last couple of years (Home & Motor) and have ended up having to raise a claim on each occasion even though I use a separate browser for my Quidco purchases and ALWAYS delete my cookies and browsing history before I start any transaction.
I just don't get it. Are they hoping that I might just not bother to raise a claim or am I missing something or doing something wrong whenever I buy from AVIVA? I just don't know.

Took up the £40 cash back offer last week, I said to my wife at the time this wont track has normal due the pop up window not being displayed saying "your visit has been recorded" , I tried 3 times to get this window to pop up " deleting browser history, cookies ets) with no look. It did say on the Aviva site something like "welcome Quidco user", anyway I proceeded to takeout insurance due to good price, but you've guest it, it's not tracked. I've had to put in a claim, but Quidco won't send it in to Aviva until 120 day has passed as Aviva won't accept\look in to any claims until this time as passed. The waiting game begins, just hope all goes well.
Aviva need to sort out their cashback protocols!

Purchased Aviva policies mainly due to the net price of their policies with cashback. But, seem to take forever to pay out!
Also, concerned that I haven't received all the cashback I am entitled to!! A further £25 was promised for taking out other policies from them with a certain amount of time! No mention so far about this?
Good points, easy to change your car insurance on line with no charge (unlike some companies which are on here)
So overall, good but you need to keep an eye on them! (Which needs to be addressed?)

I have raised a cashback claim with Aviva too, from a home insurance policy taken out in July. Very disappointing as I only took it out with them because the cashback made the insurance cheaper (as someone else mentioned) and I can't believe that someone has been waiting a year for their cashback! Disgusting of Aviva. I know you can't rely on cashback from retailers, but it seems a lot of people are having problems with Aviva and if I don't receive my cashback from them, it'll be the last policy of any kind that I take out with them. Very disappointing.

As with other comments, I only went with Aviva for the cashback as it worked out cheaper. I took this out beginning of June and of course nothing has tracked. Have raised a support ticket with Quidco which have to wait for the Cooling period to end, as if the cashback will appear within this time, very doubtful. Think I will not be holding my breath on this! I would recommend to use alternatives!

I purchased combined building and contents insurance on the 19 april 2012.
the cashback was not appearing as tracked.I then raised a claim and was told i would have to wait 111 days.This has now passed and have been informed that Quidco will now review the claim and will let me know in due course ,whatever that means!!.
I would avoid this retailer with a proverbial barge pole!.
Will leave another review if and when i receive my cashback.

I ordered building insurance in July and then seeing this offer cecided to cancel and apply for building and contents as with the offer it worked out as the same price. My first order was tracked but the second one didn't track so I had to raise a claim.
This is still pending and I haven't recieved anything on either front.
Clearly for an insurance policy they will make it diffictult to cancel a policy and get the full refund if you don't end up getting the cashback but have had the product for 6 months so this speed of payment is very poor and I am uncertain as to if I will get the money or not.

My cashback didn't track. Raised a claim in February and I'm still waiting for payment in September. Aviva only worked out cheaper with the cashback so without this payment I'm much worse off. Quidco page says 6 months, I've been waiting 7 since raising my claim.

I purchased multi insurance with aviva last year and am still waiitng for cash back. I have raised another query on this today!!! I agree with the previous reviewer, I took out this offfer with aviva as it worked out better with the cash back - but it would not have worked out better if I'd known I wasn't going to get cash back from Quidco!!!

I took up this same offer back in March of this year and at first they didn't acknowledge that I had taken up the offer. Since then I have raised a claim and I am still waiting for an update (since 17th April). The only reason that I took up their offer was because with the cashback it was less than their competitors. If this doesn't get paid to me as they promised then I shall be out of pocket.
