Despite calling them often with readings, they kept increasing my direct debit. This continued until my payments would cover three years future gas and electricity use. After they said this was sorted, I was then hit with bank charges when they continued taking money. After getting the bank to stop paying them, my bank said I should chase Scottish Power to have the bank charges refunded. Stopping the direct debit (as they owed me enough electricity/gas to cover over three years use) meant I was being hit by higher prices (which had already been overpaid by direct debit). The cost of the gas/electricity when combined with the bank charges made their product massively more expensive than any other supplier. Eventually I had to move bank to end the charges dispute - and Scottish Power have still never paid the hundreds of pounds that were still unused the year after stopping paying them.

Cashback paid ok but the service from Scott Power very poor. No call backs by the way. Constantly getting locked out from my online a/c, when trying to restore password, got only messages "service not currently available, try later". Tried to restore pw on the phone but still no access to my bills, the pw did not work again. They screwed up my DD as well. One of the bills failed to include electricity charges (unbelievable!!), got apollogies but no bill replacement so still do not know what I am paying. Then they increased my DD suddenly without giving any _statutory_ advance notice. All going very wrong. Will switch provider again once found suitable rates.

Took a few months for Cashback to arrive but it eventually did and so far pleased with SP, especially as they were the cheapest provider anyway and I would have switched to them regardless of cashback.

It tracked at lower price and is still tracked no payment yet and has been 3 month since service started and 3 weeks before that I went ahead with offer. Its cheaper Gas but think cashback incentive is a bit wrong as no-one wants to wait this long

After several attempts, at the final stage of approval, a "sorry" error message appears and you are referred directly to contact Scottish Power - at the risk of losing the cashback. Pointless and a waste of time and putting your bank details at risk.

You cannot complete a quote through the link provided. It fails at the last stage of choosing which tariff to go to. I have tried to contact SP about this but the response was clearly from 'abroad' and indicated they had not understood the query. On the basis of this, I am choosing to avoid this provider. Customer service is everything in today's world and I have no confidence in SP being able to treat any inquiry correctly first time.

The service is good even when phoned the scotish power to solve a problem the phone was busy but they phone back and the problem solved. At the present we are happy with the scitish power service to supply us with duel fuel.

switching over was straightforward and S. P. call centre operators were helpful. Initial Website for new customers is clear and precise and I was always aware of how the change-over was progressing. Once the change was complete I was allowed access to their main website (automatic procedure) which I have found to be excellent for all administrative activities such as meter readings, bill checking etc. Having regularly changed my suppliers over the last four years, as a result of chasing the most cost effective online deals, it is with confidence that I can say that Scottish Power has the best user friendly site of them all. With regard to the cashback; payment was in my bank a/c within 3 months of becoming a customer, which is most satisfactory.

The only Quidco cashback I have done. Signed up for the Scottish Power switch. £42 - £5 Quidco fee = £37. Exactly as promised. The deal lasts tills end of 2013, so no doubt I'll be back for another switch with cashback.

Utility companies are generally pretty similiar. change process took a few weeks, then the cashback took a couple of months. product is the same as other utility companies but cashback is nice and they were cheaper than eon at the time

Their cashback if often the most generous and especially when the fixed rate deal they were offering was market leading. Have switched to them twice before and got paid all three times now. I like their online offering more than the competition too.

I switched to Scottish Power in August 2012. They already managed to increase their prices since then but have not paid the promised cashback. I am very disappointed and I am thinking of moving again unless I receive payment as soon as possible. **They paid on the 10 Jan 2013** Still not impressed with the speed

Extremely slow and need to follow up several times. But will pay out in the end. They mess with your actual meter readings that you give them and use their own to charge you more.
