Our Terms Of Business
This document details our service and our arrangements for dealing with Your insurance. Please read it carefully and retain a copy for Your records. The English language will be used for all communications, the contractual terms and conditions, and any information We are required to supply to You, before and during the duration of the contract and this agreement shall be subject to English Law
Quidco provides you with a quote comparison system. We are an insurance intermediary and do not sell insurance to you directly. We allow you to use our systems free of charge to compare quotes from a number of insurers and you will then transfer to their website to buy the policy. The number of providers considered will be reflected in the quotation results screen where the quote indications are listed, when you will be able to see who the quote indications are from. We will not provide you with any advice on any product or quotation provided, nor will we be acting as your agent in any part of the sales process. You will need to make your own decision regarding the suitability of any policy for you in your individual circumstances. Your demands and needs will be assessed through a series of questions in our quote comparison system, which provides quotation results consistent with Your identified stated needs.
Our service is for non-commercial use only. It has been designed to allow private individuals or businesses seeking products on their own behalf to compare quotes.
Are We covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)?
We are covered by the FSCS. You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim. For further information about compensation scheme arrangements go to: ww.fscs.org.uk.
Companies change their prices and amend their rates on a regular basis. The price quoted to you will be accurate at the time of issue, and may change if your quote is resubmitted. As part of our service, we will send you an email confirmation of your prices. Remember, you will receive the same guarantee from the product provider as you would have received from them by going direct.
Our Fees & Remuneration for the services We provide to You
We normally receive a set fee from the insurer with whom you place your business and do not charge you a fee.
Your Right to Cancel if you are a CONSUMER
Consumers (ie. personal lines customers) have a legal right to cancel a policy or credit agreement for any reason, subject to no claims having occurred, within 14 days of receiving the full terms & conditions. You will always be advised where this Right applies. The insurer with whom you take a policy will confirm your Rights and any charges in their specific quotation. If You cancel after the 14 days has elapsed, short-period rates apply.
What to do if You have a complaint about Our quotation service
Our aim is to provide a first class service, however, if You wish to register a complaint, please contact us using our messenger service
If You cannot settle Your complaint with us, You may be entitled to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service, for an independent assessment and opinion. The FOS Consumer Helpline is on 0800 023 4567 and their website is at www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk Or You can contact them by post at: Financial Ombudsman Service, Exchange Tower, London E14 9SR

If any information that You have provided changes before You take out Your insurance, during the life of the policy or at renewal, You must inform your insurer of the change. If You deliberately, recklessly or carelessly misrepresent any information in relation to this insurance then Your policy may be cancelled without refund, or treated as if it never existed, or Your claim rejected or not fully paid.
