Can I get Virgin Media in my area?

While Virgin Media continues to expand its network by the day, its coverage is still limited. This means that some of its services, like broadband and TV, are unavailable in certain parts of the UK.

How do I contact Virgin Media?

To contact Virgin Media, scroll down to the bottom of the homepage, click on ‘Contact us’ and follow a simple three-step process. Step one involves choosing a topic, such as account and billing, broadband, or moving home.

Step two then asks you to select from a small list of common queries. Step three involves clicking on one of the suggested answers. You will then be redirected to another page that hopefully provides you with the information you were after.

What is Virgin Media Connect?

Virgin Media Connect is a smartphone app that lets you connect to Virgin Media hotspots when you’re out and about. So if you run out of data, there’s no reason to panic. You can connect to the hotspot and use wifi to browse, stream and do whatever you’ve got to do on the web.

At the time of writing, there are 3.5 million hotspots, dotted around in restaurants, bars, airports, and so on. There are also a healthy few hotspots, abroad, too.

It doesn’t stop there. Virgin Media Connect lets you take control of your home wifi. Use it to test your broadband performance, reboot your hub and pause wifi to devices. You can do all this from the comfort of your sofa.

Who owns Virgin Media?

Since 2013, Virgin Media has been part of Liberty Global, which is one of the world’s biggest telecommunications companies. While Virgin Media has kept its name and branding, it is no longer part of Virgin Group, which was founded by Sir Richard Branson and Nik Powell.

How do I install Virgin Media in my home?

Once you’ve made your order, Virgin Media will let you know whether or not you need one of its engineers to install a cable that will connect you to its network.

If your property is already connected – you should have a Virgin Media wall socket fitted in your home, for example – you can easily set up the service yourself, via its super simple QuickStart package.

If you’re not connected, Virgin Media will send out one of its engineers. The process, which shouldn’t take more than two hours, involves drilling a hole through one of your walls so that a cable can be installed.

The engineer will then connect you to your service and even show you how it all works. Do note that if you don’t own your own home, you will have to get permission from your landlord for drilling to take place.

What is Virgin Media’s Full House Bundle?

Virgin Media’s Full House Bundle is an amazing 12-month package, which ticks off all your entertainment and communication needs. It comes with over 230 channels, unlimited broadband, and inclusive weekend calls.
